Nice little restaurant with great service and food. The staff is kind and helpful and the food is fresh and great tasting.

Decent food, it was super quick. More of a fast food place to be honest, would eat here again. Most plates are big enough for two people.

This is our first time to visit Las Palmas. We've lived in Rowlett and have been in search of a local, delicious, authentic, reasonably priced Mexican restaurant. We found it! Our dinner was amazing! We had the enchilada dinner with móle sauce - amazing! Also, we ordered the Chile Relleno dinner. Wow, it was fabulous! Definitely freshly homemade. The best part - 2 come with the order! Usually, only 1 is in the dinner at other restaurants. I order them plain, but had the option to order various sauces. The owner stopped by to check in. Nice gentleman. This has been here for just 8 months and he is a local Rowlett resident. Thank you for the great dinner! We will be returning! read more

We accidentally notice this restaurant after passing by it many of times. We went to eat and have been back several times because of the authentic Mexican food. We were told that there is karaoke on specific nights and we attend on one and had a good time listening only. read more

Finally a good Mexican restaurant close to home !Went to Las Palmas for the first time today , they've been open about a few weeks .Was pleasantly surprised!Had the puerco with salsa verde , very flavorful and just what I was hoping for !The general manager Javier was welcoming and went above and beyond .Also appreciated our server Flor , attentive , gave helpful suggestions and always had a smile on her face !Also grateful margaritas and they've added a bar which is new since this restaurant was formerly Cruzitos .My husband and I will definitely be back and I encourage all our fellow neighbors to patronize this restaurant and help them succeed read more

First time in Las Palmas (located where the old Cruzitos used to be). They've done a lot to update from the old Tiki tables and "wall of froyo" spigots from the place before Cruzitos. All new tables and fixtures. Added glass to separate the odd half-wall with booths on either side which made you feel like you were sitting next to other patrons and their conversations. Much better. Food is standard Tex-Mex fare. Although the waitress claimed it to be "authentic Mexican food", I'm not sure what she meant. No cochinita pibil...plenty of yellow cheese and beef....etc.. They are also out of Illinois but please don't try to push that point...I don't think it will land the way you want it to. However, that doesn't take away from the flavors, the amount of food and the service. Our waitress was very friendly and...what's that...a smile every trip to the table? What's happening here? We both had the daily special which was cheese enchilada with chili con carne, chicken (stewed with pepper, onions...not fajita) chimichanga w/out sauces on top, guac, sour cream, rice and beans. Even garnished with a orange wedge...interesting, but nice touch. $8.25. Now do I have your attention? Look, this new spot has some growing to do. But, that's so common and they're really off to a good start. Would I like the salsa to have a little more heat? Sure. Would I like there to be some more authentic options like chilaquiles and moles? Sure. But this little place in a town starved for Tex-Mex with a little staying power (Rockwall just beating the pants off us) is off on the right foot. Give it a try. Then come back and give it another try and see where it goes. With new restaurants, I'm always willing to give them a chance to get their sea-legs before dropping ratings. This is a solid 3 star because it's exactly as the rating says..."A-Ok". There should be nuance in these ratings (something between 1 and 5) and if you're willing to give something a chance...give this one a chance. read more

You choose the fillings for the Chili Relleno as well as the tostada and taco. Good fair priced food and service was great. Plenty of seating and cute decor along with good drink specials. read more

My husband and I have come here several times over the past year. Service is good. Atmosphere is good. The entrees AND appetizers vary wildly from very good, to really? Drinks from the bar vary as well. Standard beer or wine is your best bet. I hope they can get a handle on the standards, or we will see another place bite the dust soon with so many great Mexican food restaurants like Kiki's which is authentic home cooking, or Amelia's which is nice Tex-Mex. read more

First off the people who run this place are so incredibly nice!! I would probably go back just for that, but the food was also pretty good. We ordered burritos, chimichanga, guacamole and cheese dip. The guacamole was fantastic! Everything else was fresh and hot and yummy. Only complaint is the steak was a bit chewy. Recommend the beef instead. read more

Worst Mexican food attempt we've ever tasted. The burritos were smothered in cheap tomato sauce which is super odd. Ground beef had zero flavor and fajita beef was like eating rubber. Enjoyed lunch here for the first time and very pleased with everything, from service to presentation of the food to the taste and quality of our choices! I had the Mexican breakfast that was was very flavorful consisting of a very sizable serving of eggs with chorizo, rice, refried beans, and flour tortillas. All was freshly made, even the tortillas. I've never been a fan of refried beans but today's offering was quite flavorful, with none of the grainy flat taste others serve. The whole meal was wonderful. My husband had the Burrito Bowl with beef and said all the fixings were fresh tasting even after blending all together in the dish and adding ranch dressing. (they were out of Chipotle Ranch) He said the beef (fajita steak) was very tender, not tough or stringy, and the flavors were a tasty treat. Cruzito's that use to be in this location was a long time favorite but their last year or so suffered a great decline in service and quality of their food. So happy Las Palmas has taken over with traditional Mexican food options (no salsa or queso on top of any part of their dishes that makes them Tex-Mex) at reasonable prices for the order portions, and an efficient wait staff that's happy to serve.
