The staff members at Sen Nails are incredible. They take time with their work. I had Dave--I was impressed by his attention to detail. It's been a week since my visit and my nails still look impeccable--no chipping. The salon has a stylish and minimalistic look yet relaxing feel. I highly recommend this salon to those who appreciate thought and time on their nails. My friends and I would definitely come back! read more

Easily the best nail salon in the area. I've been searching for a good salon for a long time and finally I found one where I will not leave! Extremely friendly staff that are all well trained and take there time doing a great job. CLEAN!!! This place is very very clean and has a great atmosphere where they have soft meditation like music which makes your time enjoyable and relaxing. I refuse to go anywhere else after seeing how clean this place is. All the staff do a great job. I personally see Tony and don't plan on changing that however they are all great. My shellac manicures last a solid 2 weeks or longer every time. They have every single color you can imagine and are always receiving the newest collections! Book your appointment and I can assure you this will be your new spot. read more

Got there and she was running late so he asked if Steven could do my nails. I said ok I'll give him a try. And he is wonderful. Thank you Tony! read more

Hands down the besttttt manicure and pedicure that I've gotten!!! I usually don't go to nail salon since my mom is a nail technician at another place and I usually gets them at home anyways, but after hearing about the rave of how this place is top notch and doesn't use chemical like other nail salons, I decided to come in for a try to see what the hype was about. Let me tell you, this place is amazing. I stepped into the salon and was amazed at how quiet, clean, and modernized it was! It was not what I was expecting of a typical nail salon with loud machine filing through nails or the strong smell of chemicals-- there was none of that here. I like how they endorsed the no phone policy so that there are interactions between customers/client. They also offered free water/Diet Coke, and the receptionists are so full of energy!!! The wait isn't that long if you book an appointment or call ahead of time, which I did. I literally waited 5 mins before they bring me in. And omg, they have such large collection of OPI/ Essie nail polish along with so many nice gel color options!!!!! It was so hard for me to pick just one color. The receptionist was so helpful and offered to tried some of the color on his nails for me (I'm so indecisive). I love how detail oriented and careful the technician was with my nails! I had no complain and my feet/hands felt so so soft afterwards. It was a nice treat for myself and yet an eye-opening experience as this has given me a different look on what a true spa experience should be like. Please, if you want quality and 100% good service that worth your money, just skip the other nail salons and come here. read more

Amazing.... I hate to give Sen Nails 5 stars because if the Salon gets too popular I won't be able to get an appointment! I went in by chance last winter after visiting Trader Joe's(same plaza) and now I am hooked! I am obsessive about cleanliness and that a nail salon that has good sanitary practices. Sen place meets and exceeds my expectations, so much so, I will never defect to another salon. A few highlights on why I like Sen: The nails technicians are constantly cleaning when not with a client this includes-sweeping, wiping things down, and sanitizing. They do not re-use most equipment-files, etc,are disposable. I notice most nail salons re-use the sterilizing bags again and again and Sen does not. My Dentist who uses some of the same processes for sterilization says the little pocket bags for equipment should NEVER be re-used. Check to see what your salon does. Sen does not reuse them. They make you sanitize your hands before a manicure. I even noticed an emergency eye wash kit in the sink area. I've never seen that in a salon before. Sen asks you to refrain from using your mobile phone. It is very quiet with no TV either. The music is light piano or new age which makes me sleepy. I am so relaxed when I leave, I need a nap. I make an appointment and the technician always runs on time. In past, in other salons I've frequented, I make an appointment and it doesn't mean anything. Sen runs on time and they actually log your appointment in their database when you call. It is not a rushed experience. Expect an hour for a gel manicure and about the same for a traditional pedicure. The staff is very quiet. No chatting and joking with each other as if you are invisible while getting your service. Very modern sterile design. The color palate is yellow, gray, white, brown, and black. No crazy decorations that make me feel like I am part of a Mardi-Gras Celebration. Always plenty of parking in the lot. Good hours and open on Sunday. Technicians dress professionally. Magazines aren't nasty liked they've spent time in the water. If you are looking for a quick in and out cheap Mani/Pedi Sen probably isn't your cup of tea. Based on the experience they aren't seeking that type of client anyway. I have come to appreciate the down time with no phone, TV, chatter, etc....at Sen and the true spa feel. Great experience! read more

Pedicure here is amazing. Def recommend. Very clean. Got a fill and repaired 3 nails. They are not shaped the same at all. Asked a few times to fix but still not same shape. Will be going somewhere else for my fills. read more

hey this place was great! I would give it a 4.5 Route 1 can be so random and sketchy at times but this was a gem find. I was meeting someone at Border Cafe (right next door) and had time to kill so I went in. Very clean, very friendly staff. I got a mani gel and a pedicure and they did the full works of scraping dry skin and a full long massage. I would definitely recommend it on your way up and down Route 1. I also live in Boston and it was a quick 20 minute ride home. read more

By far the cleanest nail salon you'll ever see! The staff talk very softly which adds to it's relaxing nature. The hot towels do it for me! They have an extensive color selection and always have OPI's newest collection. To top it off their prices are very reasonable. Do yourself a favor and ask for Tony, he is the best....... read more

What a fantastic and CLEAN place! I had purchased a groupon and decided to try it out. It is 30 minutes from where I live but way worth it and close to the mall! I didn't have an appointment but I did call to see if I could drop by. They said yes after 12pm. I signed in and instantly got a coupon for my next visit. Great first impression! I waited only a few minutes and took my time picking colors. A huge selection of colors! At 12 prompt I was asked to come in. I got the sen pedicure. It was with Tony and it was amazing! It was a very relaxing experience. I would come back again! read more

I have been going to Sen Nails since they first opened, I live in Jamaica Plain and travel 30-45 minutes because they consistently deliver an excellence experience. This establishment is clean and modern with a relaxing ambiance. One of the best nail salons in the area! Impeccably clean, beautifully decorated and well priced with a friendly and talented staff. I ended up at Sen a few weeks ago in need of a last minute shellac manicure (per the recommendation of the ladies at the European Wax Center next door). I had been to the 2 salons that were there previously; they weren't all that clean and I always left feeling completely disappointed and underwhelmed. From the outside, I could see that major upgrades had been made to the business and they were open late, so I decided to give them a try. Jamie (the owner's mother) greeted me upon arrival, offered me a beverage and asked that I choose a color (from a huge selection of regular and shellac polish). Most of the manicure stations are at a long, white high-top table that is kept clear of tools and debris - everything is brought to the tables when you sit down to receive your service. There are a couple of lower tables and the pedicure chairs are beautiful / brand new. Jamie was very friendly, we chatted as she took her time cutting / shaping my nails and carefully applied each layer of polish. I couldn't help but notice that the UV drying lamps weren't big and clunky...and they were really clean... I didn't feel gross putting my hands inside as I have at some other salons. The manicure was followed by a short hand massage and warm towel treatment. The end result was an absolutely perfect manicure. Tony, the owner, chatted me up while I was paying, and I commented on how clean and beautiful the salon is. He was so happy to hear the positive feedback and explained that he has a degree in biology and is extremely concerned about germs and bacteria and keeping a clean salon. Quite impressive! I am EXTREMELY picky when it comes to nail services and feel that you should leave a salon feeling relaxed and satisfied, rather than angry and stressed that your nails are all a different shape / length and the polish is messy and / or doesn't cover all of your nail. There was none of that nonsense at Sen! This business is a much needed upgrade from the previous salons in its place and is a wonderful addition to the Trader Joe's plaza. I will definitely be returning! read more

I came to Sen today. Tony is so professional and classy. I Absolutely adore him. This place is one of the most beautiful nail salons in the area with top of the line mani and pedi stations, and all the latest nail colors. Caroline took care of me and gave me the best pedicure that I've had in years. I felt like I was on an island at a resort. That's how amazing it was. Tony and Caroline treated me like a princess and gave me a 5 star treatment. I had a lovely soak, exfoliation and scrub, a revitalizing foot and Leg mask, and the longest massage of any nail tech. To top it off, I was offered a fabulous paraffin treatment with warm foot booties. Yummy.... Also I had a delicious aromatherapy add on. It was so awesome and smelt so nice over my face and body, that I feel rite to sleep. This was the first time I was able to relax in months. I'm so impressed with this place that I couldn't wait to share it with you all. read more

I stumbled upon this place because I'm in that complex often and was completely blown away. If you want an experience unlike any other, you must check out Sen Nails. The entire place is clean and QUIET I mean honestly, it was like I was in a spa. The massage on my pedicure felt so good, I about fell asleep and their individual lights over the pedicure chairs really gives you the individual treatment. Even on the manicure tables, all of the "personal" stuff is removed and only brought out when the manicure is in process. The location doesn't do acrylic nails so there's not the dentist drill sound nor all of the powder in the air. The tools are changed out between each customer so you know they're free of germs and you're receiving a clean service. I don't know if this bit matters but the staff were also so quiet. I've been to other salons where the staff yell across the room at each other and more or less make you feel like cattle being taken from one service to the next. The staff at Sen Nails spoke to each other in hushed tones really allowing the client to relax. By far the best experience I've had receiving a pedicure in the area and as long as Sen Nails exists, I'll be a customer! read more

Clean clean clean! Relaxing, quiet atmosphere with meditation music playing in the back. the work that Jason does is beautiful and precise down to every small detail even the long thorough massage. They also have every color you could possibly imagine in shellac and regular paint and they aren't sun damaged or old. They also use an organic base and top coat for shellac that is made from sea Kelp that doesn't damage your Natural nail. My shellac normally lasts about 3 weeks and that's with my hands constantly being used at work and at home. They are all very professional and extremely sweet. I come faithfully every two weeks for a manicure and pedicure and have never had a complaint. The receptionist is also great, such a sweet heart with vibrant energy. Everyone is so accommodating to every request you may have. This place is the most sanitary and over all clean nail salon I have ever stepped foot into. It's in a great location with plenty of parking and a Starbucks in walking distance. read more
