My nails did not turn out th way I hoped! it smelled weird when i first walked in and the service was not great. the pictures of the inside is not what it actually looks like, i had to go to a different nail salon to get my nails fixed because they were way too long and way too pointy, which is not what I asked for at all! BEST. MANICURE TO-DATE. They were so meticulous and did a perfect job and really took their time. It was $44 for two gel manicures - amazing prices! The place is clean and they give you complimentary warm moisturizing gloves during the manicure. Their chairs are very comfortable and they have a good array of colors and dips to choose from. I came in as a walk-in customer and was greeted warmly. They were nice enough to offer me a water and started my manicure. The environment was calm and also literally entertaining. One of the employees, maybe owner, played piano while my hands were in process. 10/10 recommend and I can't wait to go back. read more

Worst manicure I have ever gotten. I was their first appointment of the day and after having me pay before the service was received she did a horrible job and my nails were smudged and had bubbles before I had even left after spending nearly an hour and a half for a basic manicure. Gross and dirty to start with! I got a white and pink ombre dip. The tec noticed black specs in the power after she started my nails ( probably from doing another customer) had to sift it out which took forever just go grab another one and do that later! Her brushes looked dirty too. Then the kicker $67 dollar I almost choked!! With tip I could have bought groceries for my family. I know someone that owns a nails salon and she said $67 is outrageous!!! I won't be back. Oh $55 for the dip and $12 for the ombre. Don't know how this place gets 4.6 stars. Only positive was I could earlier get an appointment and plenty of parking. read more

I have it another go and there was absolutely nothing special about my pedicure. It was painful at points which a pedicure should not be and my feet are still very calloused. (Well, one foot is nice and smooth and the other is not at all...). It is clear that there are some better nail techs than others. I won't be back. read more

I walked in for the first time. Just moved to town from CT. The first thing I noticed was how clean the place was. I was serviced by a male tech. He was fabulous! Love the pedi, with the plastic lining in the tub and loved the mani, complete with keratin gloves. This will be my go to place now. Horrible experience. Wrong pedicure, left with no polish. AND CHARGED $27! I booked a 12:30pm appointment for a gel pedicure. I arrived five minutes early. I was waiting until 12:40 after finding a color on the wall (which they told me was gel polish, which I thought was strange but went with it), perfectly fine, I just needed to leave by 1:45pm. I was then left soaking my feet in much too hot water (so my feet were just rest on the step) until 1:00pm. A nail tech then took care of prep, cuticles, and filing. I then waited a few minutes for a different nail tech to come over and start my polish around 1:25pm. I asked if they had time to do it, they assured me yes, twice. She put polish on that turned out to be regular polish (which I don't like because of the dry time, and had work at 2pm down the street). I then asked them to remove the polish because I needed to be able to put closed toe shoes on. After two people scurried to take it off and apologize, they offered me to come back tomorrow, which I work all day. I took out my credit card expecting to just tip the lady who did my prep, but they charged me $27 for NO POLISH on my toes. What a disgrace! read more

I had a great experience the first time I went. But the second time was unfortunately not so great. I asked for a Dip manicure and the woman who did my nails did not know how to do Dip yet proceeded to try. My nails came out uneven, different shapes, rough around the edges, and just overall. It a clean finish by any means. I asked for them to be fixed by someone else and they quickly "fixed" my nails. The outcome was still not great. Very rushed. Was charged as well. I am sure the woman who did my nails is great at other types of manicures, but please next time someone asks for dip...give them an experienced manicurist. And if one isn't available, ask them to come back later. It will save everyone the time and money. read more

Grabbed a couple of last minute appointments the day before thanksgiving for my daughter and I. While they were crazy busy they gave us the attention to make us feel special. The pedicure was good, I look forward to trying the fancy one next time. The manicure held up for over a week. My only feedback is that I wish the nail technician spoke more English. I found Herbal Spa about 2 months ago and I absolutely LOVE it. I can be very picky when it comes to getting my nails done in a salon. I usually do them myself. I have lost count of how many times I left a nail salon unhappy with the service. I've tried many places before and I can't believe I found a place close to my house that does a great job. I do gel manicure. I've done it with Kim and Lee and they were AMAZING. I'm sure the other girls are just as good. The place is super clean, have a great nail polish color selection and they use a natural scrub lotion for a hand massage that is a plus! I highly recommend this place. :) read more

This place was recommended to me by a friend. Walked in.. The place was very small, but elegant and clean. The owners were brother and sister and very attentive. Gave me the menu of services and price list. Seemed a bit pricey, but the woman sitting next to me said "you will ever have to go anywhere else for a pedi, best in town". I was waiting to see what the big deal was and why I was paying $30. There was nothing special about it. Except they use keratin gloves and that's why its more money. got a nail dip mani here and it lasted about a week and a half with three of my nails chipped. Was told "that is normal" and was charged full price to get it fixed. Horrible customer service. Go to tips and toes, they are nice and the manicure lasts a long time. read more

Recently moved to Reading so I needed a new nail salon that was convenient. Herbal Spa was 5 star on so many levels. My first time there, they took me right on time for a pedicure and gel mani. They are VERY clean and sanitary. They put hand masks on your hands during your manicures which is such a great added service. My nails always look AMAZING after leaving also. The second time I went in, they took me late but then they worked on my hands and toes at the same time so I still left at the same time I would've either way which I totally appreciated and made me not mind that I waited. My only tip would be to call ahead for appointments. They only have a few staff members so on Saturdays I noticed walk in appointments are hard to come by. Gel mani and pedi is $60. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! I hate to be the only bad review and ruin a new places reputation but this place is truly AWFUL! I have lived in Reading and gotten my nails done here for over 20 years when it was called "V Nails" They either sold it or new management took over so I figured I would try it out. I had already gotten acrylics done and I needed them taken off and a new polish change so I went in to try them out. I should have ran for the door when she said "I no like acetone" and she REFUSED to use ANY ACETONE and proceeded to take a plastic fake nail and use it to PRY AND RIP OFF each and every one of my nails. They BROKE and BLEED! I was tearing up and I kept saying "ouch" and "that hurts" I was so embarrassed and in so much pain but there were other women there getting pedicures and I didn't want to cause a scene. She kept rubbing my hands as if that would make the ripped nail grow back and kept saying "short is better" and cut off any live nail that was left. Its been 2 weeks and you can still see the layers of nail that was ripped off even after taking vitamins and using nail growth polish. They are only now slowly starting to not hurt daily. Please DO NOT GO here! I will be reporting them to the board of health, this is NOT how you professionally remove acrylic nails. read more

I'd been searching out a good nail salon in Reading area for very long time but on one seems to be good as V nail. Today is my second time for Herbal spa. The first time I had Mimi who was my nail stylize. She was very good and claim. I thought I could have her today but she was so busy with the another client, then I have to have the another lady. I was very nervous but at the end I found that she was so good too. They both are very professional. This salon was so nice and clean. I like the less water and gloves moisture lotion technic.
