Got the butterfly coconut with Ube boba. The butterfly pea part actually doesn't have a taste but rather for looks. It mostly taste like coconut water which makes sense. Ube boba is the interesting part. It is in between a regular chewy boba and agar boba in term of texture. But you can taste the Ube. I've actually never had this texture before and it is quite good. I'd get this in a milk tea for sure as that's probably where it shine the most. The butterfly coconut probably is better with jelly. I've been wanting to try Sen Kafe for quite a while now but due to them being so out of the way and their business hours a bit short, I never got the chance until this past week! I was nearby for a dentist appointment and saw that this was less than a mile away so I had to try them out! As soon as I entered, I was greeted by a lovely lady that resembled the possible owner? We got talking and she asked if I wanted to sample their Vietnamese coffee so I accepted that offer. She then recommended their Vietnamese coffee with sea salt foam so that's what I ordered. She then went to the back to finish preparing a fresh batch of their sea salt foam which was great timing. She also provided me with a free helping of some biscuits to drink with the coffee. Sen Kafe's Vietnamese coffee has the perfect balance of flavors. It isn't too weak but it isn't unbearably strong at the same time. The sea salt foam was incredible! The drink as a whole was very refreshing and I'm just a little upset I never tried this place earlier! The lady was very genuine and enjoyed our conversation. If you're looking for a small business to support, I 100% recommend this spot! Charming Vietnamese coffee and tea house located at Centerpointe near the Jimmy John's and Isla Cuban-Latin Kitchen off of Orangethorpe in the city of La Palma. I ordered the pork pate chaud to go along with the iced Vietnamese coffee and it was an excellent pairing. The Vietnamese coffee being strong, bold, yet sweet went well with the pork pate chaud which was a flaky pastry with a pork filling similar to that of a Vietnamese egg roll. The atmosphere, ambience, and decor was beautiful and calming with the cieling adorned with brightly colored umbrellas and the seating areas which seemed suitable for a tea party. The owner was very nice, saying that this place was her hobby and she was very honest to say that she had already been broken into/burglarized twice. I reminded her that this was a safe community and that La Palma was in need of a coffeehouse like this one, very refreshing to see a place that looked and felt like it was from the heart. I accidentally walked into the store well after closing but the owner was so kind to allow me to place an order. She was handmaking the next days cakes. She made me the mango smoothie with REAL MANGO that tasted super fresh, and recommended I try the limoncello Gelato which was divine. (FYI she has lactose free milk and almond milk options too!) 7.23.24 I did a quick stop in today to get some coffee and nibbles at this new Cafe. As I walked up to the Cafe I saw they had a cute seating area outside. Upon entering, I noticed the cute ceiling decor and seating area was beautiful. Who doesn't love pink!? So since I was in a rush and knew what I wanted, I quickly ordered the espresso ice coffee with a sea salt foam topper. Yes it is good! The nibbles I got are the heart shaped pandan waffles. Hot and freshly made just in time for my visit :) I will definitely return to try out more items on their menu. If you haven't stopped by, you should. What a hidden gem! This place hits all my checkboxes for a 5-star tea house. They have a cute and clean interior with enough drink options for any tastes, each option seems specially crafted with thought and is not generic, tasty snacks and dessert options (local ice cream in closed containers for easy eating there or to-go), a little outdoor seating and plenty of indoor seating, and friendly customer service. On top of that, a few of the ingredients are sourced from the owners own garden - how awesome is that?!!!! Plus, the sweetness of the drinks was absolutely perfect. I almost always get my drinks 50% sweet elsewhere, but I would trust the regular sweetness here for any of the drinks. We tried the strawberry yakult, butterfly milk tea, and kiwi basil tea. They were all incredible! My favorite was the kiwi basil tea because I loved the textural element of the lotus seeds and kiwi. I was able attend the grand opening of the Sen Kafe today. Our family had tried three different flavor of drinks, VN ice coffee with egg foam, honey jasmine milk tea with glass jelly and galaxy soda. All just had the right sweetness and they all were really good. The services were well organized and handling of the incoming traffic of customers were courteous. I was hanging out with a meetup group and after lunch a few of our members suggested that we check out Sen Kafe for coffee and tea because the place looked so welcoming with its pink and green interior. While waiting for our Boba and Tea the manager and owner Amy - came by and gave us a tour of the kitchen showed us how to cook green tea and soy milk from scratch and gave us free samples while we waited for our dessert. Sen Kafe is a lovely place and the staff their made us feel so welcoming. They definitely do care about their customers.
