(So we actually loved our experience last time we promised to leave a review but totally forgot the name of the kind soul that helped us and been meaning to go back to get her name) I had visited a few times before, but didn't feel welcomed or felt like I had to chase someone down to sheepishly ask for a single sample which they begrudgingly handed over while I was the only one in the store. So it was hard to want to buy anything. That is, before Jessica. She was so knowledgeable and friendly, answering all our questions and offering suggestions to help us find our one true (chocolate) love. We bid adieu and walked out with some purchases of chocolate hopefully to last us a while for the sake of our wallets. So months later, finally, we went back hoping she was there and trying to remember what we liked last time (raspberry blackberry white chocolate and the blackberry dark chocolate for future reference) and would you know it, freaking Jessica chimes in from the side "Yeah last time you guys liked that one." Like wait, excuse me? You see how many people a day, a week, a month, and you remember not only our faces but also what we liked months later?? Floored. FLOORED. Of course, Jessica and the amazing team on Friday night 15 minutes before closing were amazing and happily let us try a few different things so we knew exactly what we wanted to get. We decided on the previous favorites plus the new limited edition hazelnut dark chocolate and the 90% cacao dark chocolate from India. So go check out this location at the Cerritos Mall! You're in for not only a sweet treat, but a sweet connection with people who truly care about the guest experience.

So this is more of a order a go spot, if they don't have enough chairs. It's clean and did smell like baked goods when you come in. The decoration is cute also. I didn't know what to order and so I ordered a Dacquiose with cream and strawberry jam since I've never had one before. The owner described it as a mix of a macaron and cream puff. It was an accurate description. Definitely great texture. Just a little too much cream for my taste due to the sweetness. It was like a butter like cream, and it was sweet. I also got their chocolate chip cookie which was thick. It tasted very similar to a scone and not really like a buttery, crunchy/chewy texture of chocolate chip cookie that I like. A bit bummed that neither dessert wasn't something I liked. Also they don't have any drinks, which is also a bummer because milk or coffee would have gone great with the desserts. I'll probably come back and try something different, but for now either of what I tried really hit. However it's still worthy checking it out, because it might not have been my kind of taste of baked good, but could be for someone else.

What I ordered: Coco Pandan Mousse DESSERT: 8/10 I loved how light my mousse was. Most importantly, it actually tasted like pandan! I was worried the pandan flavor was going to be mid and subtle, but each bite had a great pandan flavor. I had a bit of a drive back to my hotel, so I was advised to order mine frozen. I'm glad I took the staff member's advice because by the time I got to my hotel and finished dinner, it had thawed out perfectly. It was still cold-ish, room temp in the best way possible. SERVICE: 9/10 Great customer service! Upon arrival, the staff member who helped me was very nice. I was indecisive about what to order, so I really appreciated that she gave me a rundown and some suggestions on their most popular dishes. Most importantly, I appreciated her concern about my dessert melting by the time I got back to my hotel. If it wasn't for her and her advice to order the dessert frozen, I wouldn't have known and probably would've ended up with a deconstructed dessert. The way she packaged my dessert was also very helpful and considerate. AMBIANCE: 9/10 Definitely a cute place, and I can see this being a great go-to spot for groups. I loved how the back seating area had so many Polaroids plastered all over the walls. There are different types of seating depending on what you're in the mood for, and each seating area has a different vibe. There's also plenty of outdoor seating if you want to enjoy the weather while having your dessert!

This was an interesting and unique tea house. And I really liked it!…read moreIt wasn't just a tea house. It's also a flower shop and bakery. It has a cute and casual ambience, so it's not ''traditional'' like some elegant tea houses. Having a more casual experience was just perfect for me and two of my friends on the day of our visit. We had made a reservation and were seated in a semi-private area with two comfy sofas facing one another. Another thing I really liked about this business is that it's not a just for tea lovers. If you love the afternoon tea experience but you have friends who don't, you can still have a wonderful time together because the menu is so flexible. For example, the Afternoon Tea Service ($33.95) includes a half sandwich, salad or fresh fruit, scone with cream and house-made jam, and an iced or hot drink. For dessert there was a choice of a brownie (3 kinds), a lemon bar, or a cookie. Let me just say now that the Nutella Toffee brownie was absolutely killer! If what I described above isn't to your liking, there is also the option of ordering something like a Grilled Ham & Cheese sandwich with a salad ($14.95). Whatever you decide, I feel certain that you won't be disappointed. Everything we ate and drank was really good.

It's located inside a flower shop next to a Stater Bros. and gives me a more casual version of Tea Rose Garden (Old Pas) vibes. We were greeted immediately and the two of us were seated in a side table that was enough to seat 6-8 guests. We had a view of the refrigerator case with the most gorgeous huge roses and other beautiful flowers. There are other fun things to buy in the shop if you need a gift. The lady who helped us was super sweet and brought us some tea leaves of popular teas so that we could smell them to help decide on what teas we wanted to enjoy with our tea service. I ultimately decided on getting the chicken pesto sandwich with salad, blueberry scone, chocolate chip cookie, and the California Persian tea (hot). My friend got the chicken salad sandwich with salad, classic scone, lemon bar, and earl grey creme tea (hot). The first things to come out were our tea pots. We were given tea timers so that we could take out our tea bags when time was up depending on how strong we wanted our tea, but I normally just leave my tea in the pot to brew forever and just refill with hot water (I'm so Asian). I did noticed that we were not provided with milk or sugar for our teas like at other tea places, but I was fine with that because I normally drink my tea plain. Maybe they provide it upon request but I didn't ask. My friend and I shared our tea items so that we could taste a bit of everything and it was all great! Both sandwiches were good, both flavors of scones had a tender crumb and were great with the cream and house made jam that came with it. My cookie reminded me so much of the Levain chocolate chip walnut cookie - soo good!!! The lemon bar was also perfectly tart and sweet. If you don't want a tea experience, don't worry, this is honestly a full service cafe and there are other items you can order like salads, sandwiches, flatbreads and even chicken pot pie! There's even a full coffee and matcha menu with so many different varieties of yummy looking drinks like Rose Espresso Latte, or Cloud Matcha Coconut! Who would've thunk in a little flower shop!?!? I cannot recommend Classics Cafe enough, it's a great spot for food and flowers, and the shop keepers are so kind! Go check it out for yourself!!
