Absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. This small, privately owned bread pudding company is the real deal--pure comfort food done with passion and precision. You can taste the difference immediately; every bite is rich, perfectly textured, and packed with flavor without being overly sweet. What really sets them apart is the attention to detail and the obvious care that goes into every batch. The bread is perfectly soaked, the spices/flavors are balanced just right, and the sauces (seriously, don't skip those, the whiskey vanilla sauce they make is out of this world) take everything to another level. It feels homemade in the best possible way--like something passed down through generations. Which it has been! This is a black-owned, family-run business that truly cares about what they're putting out there and it shows. On top of that, the customer service is outstanding. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers and take pride in what they do, which makes supporting them feel even better. We live in Arizona but they come to FoodieLand everytime it's here and we now always go straight to their booth everytime we go to foodieland. I absolutely hate sweet potatoes/yams and yet the first thing I tried was a sample of their sweet potato bread pudding and I fell in love. Now we always buy three different flavors everytime we see them at the festival. Always at least one of the bananas foster. The Oreo Ube one was delicious this year. All in all they are our FAVORITE booth at FoodieLand and have the best customer service, the best smiles, and the most delicious bread pudding we've ever eaten! Not only that but they recognize us everytime we see them! They know me as the guy that hates sweet potatoes yet always asks for their sweet potato bread pudding!! I cannot say enough nice things about Elaine's. Their story is beautiful, they're beautiful people, with kind hearts and delicious food! This is not a physical location - a business building but honestly I loved it either way. I called and was given some recommendations, they were very accommodating to what I wanted to get. I was asked to pay first and then was sent the address pretty quickly. when we got to the house to do the pickup, the owners were already outside waiting for me and were ever so friendly! Sometimes people may be wary of picking food items up at someone's home, but I felt like i was picking up desert from my Aunty's house. I've had Bananas Fosters Strawberry shortcake Sock it 2me Peach cobbler Toffee pecan Sweet potato Cookie butter All of them are stellar! Great bread pudding, so many different flavors! Make sure you follow them on Instagram to get their flavors of the week, which they seem to post on Sundays. You'll also have to call them to place your preorder and setup a pickup date. For $20 you get half a dozen individual bread puddings, 2 of each flavor for that week. One of the flavors they had the week I ordered was the Peach Cobbler. It was pretty good but it didn't have any kinda crust. Whenever I think of a cobbler I think of that great crust on the top to give it some delicious texture, which I felt like I was missing. Not sure how feasible that is for a bread pudding, but regardless I thought the flavor was great! The Red Velvet was okay but I thought there could have definitely been more chocolate flavor. The icing was spot on though. My favorite was the Sock It To Me. I still don't quite understand what the flavor was supposed to be but it had a really yummy mix of cinnamon and brown sugar with a nice glaze that reminded me of a cinnamon roll. This was by far my favorite of the flavors I got. My friends and I killed these bread puddings over a day at 2 different times. When we dug into them right after we got them they were chilled, but I liked them much better the second time around when they were closer to room temperature.
