After messaging through Yelp, we confirmed our appointment for my daughter at 1:30pm and I gave the owner my contact information as requested. At 1:00pm the next day (day of the appointment, I messaged again and told her we are eating next door and we'll see her at 1:30pm. She messaged back..."sorry, but that appointment is already taken". Really? The excuse they gave was that I never confirmed. She said I needed to do it through the app...which she never told me. Nor did she call or text me to let me know, if that is their procedure. She then offered a 2:30pm appointment. No thanks. Appointments are made for a reason. We had things to attend to later in the day. See screenshot of us agreeing on 1:30pm. They need to get better with the customer service. Boutique nail salon or not, you need to leave a good impression, which they failed to do.

So, so disappointed by this place, especially because I thought I had found my new spot in Miami. Everyone here seems so nice and friendly! I decided to treat myself to a manicure and regretted it. My experience here was one that truly upset me. I called on a Tues not realizing that they were closed to make an appointment but actually did hear back that day which I appreciated. They made an effort to still maintain appts despite not being open for business. I made my appt and let the girl know that I wasn't sure exactly what service I required bc I'm not familiar with anything more than just a standard manicure and gel. I called the next day about 30 minutes before my appt to let them know I was going to be 10 min late. Instead of having me just come in, they moved my appointment to 30 minutes later which was a bit of an inconvenience bc I had some thing later, but I wanted to be accommodating given that I wouldn't be able to be at the exact time of my appt. I get there on time for my new appt and I'm told it will be about 10 minutes waiting. 45 minutes into my new appointment time, which was 30 minutes after my original appointment time, I had still not been seen. Cannot imagine if I had made it on time to my original appointment. I expressed frustration because I had a commitment later and they told me that they might not be able to see me if I had a time constraint. This was extremely frustrating, but I rearranged my plans in order to stay since I was already there and had spent at this point over an hour working with this appt. While I was waiting I showed the owner what I wanted - few images to give her an idea of the design and then 1 to show her the shape. I told her that if it was too expensive given that I'm not working, I would go with simple gel. She said that what I wanted would be acrylics and told me that the price was $65 (over double gel), but I decided to go for it. The entire time I was waiting, the couple that was there was yelling across the salon to each other to a point where everyone else in the salon was looking at each other. When they left everyone breathed a sigh of relief and the people who worked there were talking about It and how uncomfortable it made everyone. I was frustrated that instead of asking them to keep their voices down and not disturb everyone else in the salon, the workers chose to instead to make everybody else uncomfortable around them. Finally started getting my nails done and when the technician asked the owner, who had explained the price to me, for white to do the details, the owner came over and told me that it was more to do a design. I asked her why she had told me a price before when I had very clearly showed her the designs that I wanted and all she said was that any salon would tell me that a design is extra. I said I understood but that I had specifically asked her the price for what I wanted and she had not given me an additional price that she was now telling me. At this point I already had the acrylics glued to my nails and didn't really have a choice because what I was paying for was half done. If I had to get a solid color which as you can see from my pictures is not too different from what I have gotten with gel, I would have just gotten the gel which is a much cheaper option especially given my circumstances. She did not offer an alternative and basically left me with no choice but to get a solid color. I was very overwhelmed by the situation overall starting with how late it was, having to move my plans around, and how uncomfortable the previous guests had been and now being faced with no choice but to either pay more or not have the design that I had half already paid for, that I quite literally started to cry. When I tell you that the entire salon (including a guest that did ask me if I was OK) could tell that I was crying I am not exaggerating. However I am also not exaggerating but the only person that offered any type of acknowledgment was a nail technician who just gently told me it was ok. Everyone else at the salon IGNORED me, while I sobbed, NEVER apologized for the confusion or offered any type of alternative. Just that it was normal to be charged more for a design, which she knew I didn't know and never told me from the start. The worst part was, I got home to see that both my polish change on my toes and the acrylics themselves, which again, were a design and shape I could have gotten with basic gel, were poorly done. There is no excuse for the way they treated me and I would have gone back to have them fix something that cost me more than I could afford had I felt more comfortable, but they made me feel truly terrible there. I had such high hopes since everyone had seemed so sweet, but ignoring a customer clearly distressed and on top of that doing a terrible job on the nails is one that I cannot excuse. I truly wish they had been more empathetic and tried to work with me on a solution instead of being cold toward me.

I came here after coming across their page on Instagram and I have to say that I recommend this place to anyone looking to get their nails done! The staff were all friendly and helpful. Thank you Blanca for the amazing nails. I will definitely be coming back.

That I ask and the video is what I got so disappointed

I would not recommend this place for the price that the charge I'm aspecting a beautiful work they removed my gel-x that I got done in San Diego for 35 dlls that look incredible purple wt unicorn effect because I have one broken and put new set 125 that how much the charge me for remove and put new set they look nothing wt I asked for really upset. Over charge for a really bad job

Love this spot! So pretty inside and welcoming. Got my nails fixed and I am in love! The staff is very nice and great to talk to. My nails were a mess and needed some love, I am so so happy with the outcome! Unfortunately I live in New York so it will be awhile before I come back, but when I do visit Miami Beach again, I will absolutely be coming here!

So, my husband found this place online while we vacationing in Miami at Fontainebleau Hotel. Can I say we were sooo amazed by the professionalism and service! These young ladies really know how to treat you, the care and the smiles just made it a pleasant experience. They turned me on to a new nail color line called DND...my pedicure was amazing! My husband was quite happy with his pedicure as well, we're in Miami a couple times a year & will definitely be back!!

Beautiful gel + acrylic mani with pearl chrome finish

New to Miami Beach, and a bit fanatic about my mani/pedi routine, I came across C&C Nails on Yelp, read the reviews and decided to give it a try. I was skeptical at first given my experience at another nail salon but C&C not only didn't disappoint, it was one of the best gel + acrylic natural (ie my own nails) manis I have ever gotten. My nail technician was Veronica who is frankly an artist through and through. Her technique is flawless and her attention to detail is amazing. On top of the beautiful manicure, I opted to add a pearl chrome finish and the results are just beautiful. Carolina, the owner of C&C, is so wonderful to engage with, super nice and accommodating. It's a wonderful local business and we will be coming back.

Brittle nails that I had to put a clear top coat over & praying they don't fall off.

The salon itself is not clean, which is alarming for a business that provides waxing services. Sanitation should be a top priority, and it clearly is not. Even more troubling is how the business is run. Staff are reportedly instructed to ignore overcharging customers unless the customer complains. Instead of being transparent, the approach seems to be "don't mention it unless they notice." That alone should make clients think twice. The way employees are treated is equally disturbing. Staff are spoken to disrespectfully, paid late, and sometimes given short hours on their paychecks. When employees ask about pay or scheduling, they're told that if they don't like it, they can find another job. Some were told they would be off for one week, only to wait four months. When they respectfully asked when they would return to work, they were fired for being "disrespectful." There also appears to be little to no proper training. Waxers who expressed they were not ready to perform services were told to "get it together" instead of being properly trained. This not only puts staff under pressure but also puts clients at risk. Multiple employees across their six salon locations have reportedly quit due to what seems to be unprofessional behavior from the owners. That should say a lot. Clients deserve clean facilities, fair pricing, and properly trained professionals. Based on what I experienced and observed, Uni K Wax South Beach does not meet those standards. Please be careful.

If you were traveling for work and staying at this hotel, and needed a day to just forget that everyone existed, this would be great for that. My friends and I flew down from Richmond during a crazy winter storm and decided to get a day pass here among other things. The day pass included spa access during their open hours, as well as pool access. Unfortunately, because of the unseasonably cool weather, the hotel had not opened the pool which pretty much made the spa the only option for anyone else who had purchased the resort pass too, and I'm just not sure the facilities were up to that task. The spa itself had a relaxation area, which was three lounge chairs in the room with a hot tub and a cold tub. In the room next to that, there was a dry sauna, a wet sauna, and a shower. I'm not a huge fan of the dry sauna, dry heat isn't really my thing, but I did rather like the wet sauna room. It was nice and large, and the hot steamy air felt great on my poor frozen winter storm lungs. The cold plunge pool is also not my thing, but the hot tub was awesome, but it had a couple of pretty huge problems. The first was that it was up a flight of stairs. Everyone in our party has limited mobility in some fashion and One of our party uses a walker and isn't super mobile at all, so it was very difficult to actually make it to the hot tub. Might have been nice to know it wasn't actually accessible before we booked the spa. Luckily, even though she isn't super mobile, she is able to haul herself very slowly up stairs, provided it has a nice sturdy railing... Which it did have a railing... unfortunately the railing was completely loose at the bottom and not particularly sturdy since it was only partially connected. It had stone steps, and due to the nature of the room, they were a bit wet so they had nonskid stickers on them, but it had unfortunately peeled up and was mostly loose. Ultimately, our friend ended up using us as the steady banister to get up the stairs, but that probably wasn't any safer since it wasn't like we had anything to hold onto because again... slippery stairs and loose banister. We made it up safely, and then try to get in the hot tub. The tub itself is square, has a ladder railing, but we couldn't actually see any ladder steps, so we kind of had to guess where was safe to get in the pool. Being the most mobile of the group, I ended up sitting on the edge of the tub and feeling around with my feet until I figured out that the tub has three walls with stone benches around it that we could step on and get in. We only actually figured out after getting out that the pool had sunken footholds in the wall, not an actual ladder. Never would have found those getting in, but learn from our ignorance. The hot tub is awesome, the jets were great and absolutely the thing we needed after the plane flight and freezing winter storms, but everyone else felt that way too, so we were unable to get back in it again like we would have liked. We ended up heading out earlier than we intended and just sitting outside for the rest of our stay. Overall, the place is small, which makes it hit or miss as to whether or not you can use the facilities, which makes it hit or miss as to whether it is a good value for the day pass. You may luck out, or you may strike out.

Food is not allowed in the spa but there's a few options in the beautiful Eden Roc hotel, from full on restaurant, to small plates at the bar lounge or Cafe Ines for a happy medium. A word to the wise: the spa is under renovation so sometimes some of the amenities are not working (hot tub, sauna, etc). If you don't want to be disappointed make sure you call ahead and ask. Highly Recommended!!! I went in for a hair color correction,…read morehair cut, style and blow dry, then added on a manicure last minute, which they accommodated. I don't recommend booking last-minute anything, anywhere, just out of respect for the staff, other clients and establishment. Nonetheless, the owner was kind enough to arrange it. I found WaxMee Salon & Spa on Instagram (@waxmee_salon_and_spa), when I was searching for a new hairstylist. I've been getting my hair done for the past 20 years, and I am picky with whom I let color treat it. I decided to try out WaxMee S&S, because I noticed from their Instagram posts that their results looked beautiful, even on different people with different hair styles/colors/textures/etc. They don't just work the trendy blonde balayage, but they work with darker color and reds, too, which takes skills. HAIR: Ask for Romina, she is amazing! Romina took her time with the initial consult to truly understand what had been done to my hair by a previous hairstylist. I really appreciated this, because lately, a lot of stylists tend to tell you what they want to do with your hair. That's fine if you're open to the surprise, but feeling heard is so important for someone who knows what they want. Her work is not cookie-cutter. She truly tailors the style to each person, and makes suggestions based on experience and on your particular needs. Romina was efficient, fast, knowledgeable, skilled, professional and friendly. I appreciated that she was on time, got to work right away, was mindful of the time and communicative throughout the process. I asked her to cut about 5-6 inches off of my hair, which she did. This is important, because for some reason, it seems other stylists are afraid to use their scissors and they end up only trimming the ends! Romina listened and understood what I wanted, and delivered a new style and color that looks very natural and tailored to me! I will definitely be back and highly recommend that you book with her. I love my new hair color and cut! NAILS: The manicure was a last-minute add-on, but that didn't mean I had to wait long. The owner immediately called one of the manicurists who got to work on my nails as Romina was doing my hair. I truly appreciate this, because they don't waste your time. I loved that I was able to get two services done at once, so that I did not have to end up spending the entire day at the salon. The manicurist was so good and fast! For a moment I thought she was rushing it, but the end result was flawless. My only regret is not remembering her name, although I do remember her face. I will be back to see her as well. SALON: WaxMee is a full-service salon with professional and friendly staff, and EXCELLENT prices! Some of their other services include laser treatments, facials, massages, fibroblast, etc. It was clean, the receptionist and the owners are very attentive, and the coffee and tea nook is stocked (something a coffee-lover like me appreciates). PARKING: There's metered street parking only. Download and use the PayByPhone App for convenience. Do not park in the nearby plaza or you risk getting towed. WaxMee Salon & Spa is a keeper! Definitely give them a try if you're looking for great results at great prices. Check them out on IG: @waxmee_salon_and_spa to see some of their work.
