Hi! I got my nails done at this salon yesterday. Before going, I had seen two negative reviews and one positive one, and I still gave it a try because it was close and convenient for me. Unfortunately, I can't speak for all the staff there, but the person who did my nails gave me one of the worst manicure experiences I've ever had. My nails are painful, the surface is bumpy, and the result was honestly very poor. Maybe you'll have better luck -- everyone's experience can be different. But I wanted to share mine, because if I had known how it would turn out, I probably would have chosen another place. Just sharing this as a heads-up, from one person to another.

Booking my appointment solely based on one Yelp photo and review, my expectations were modest, to say the least. However, Ruby blew me away! Two days later, I still can't stop admiring my manicure--it's simply perfection! From the impeccable shape and length to the flawless nail bed profile, Ruby exceeded all my expectations. Without a doubt, I give my dip manicure experience a sparkling 5/5 stars across the board. Thank you, Ruby, for making my nails look fabulous!

She cleaned up any messy paint edges and gave a quick foot and hand massage. But the toenail polish didn't dry fully, even after a full 24 hours. I left for vacation the next day and couldn't go back in for them to fix. I think the nail oils weren't cleaned off properly before applying the polish. Unfortunately even my fingernail polish felt a little tacky and not fully dry even days after. Overall this is a nice nail salon, clean and bright and packed with customers. Just check that your nails dry thoroughly before you go.

The one that pedicured my feet was amazing but the one that did my manicure cut me 3-4 times. When I called the place, I mentioned that I am a tourist. I did not have much time so please do my hands and feet at the same time. After agreeing, they finished my pedicure without start my manicure. Ruined some of my travel plans(no problem). If they couldn't do everything at the same time, just do not tell me to come when i called them to book. And it was my birthday that day. I still tipped them 20% and I wish them the best, this review is to help them improve their service, please do not do the same to other people. Thanks.

Terrible quality and service they rescheduled on me three times and then when I went there, I did hard gel and it chipped one day later and they told me they would charge me $85 for the chip because they would have to do it all over again. I sincerely do not recommend this place. read more

Absolutely loving my visits to 305 Nails! I just recently started going and I'm obsessed. Wendy does my dip manicures and she is a total superstar -- so sweet, so talented, and my nails come out flawless every single time! And Lulu... wow! Her gel pedicures are perfection. Note: Ruby and Kevin were the previous owners and no longer work there, so the reviews that say how great they are are no longer applicable. This was my go-to nail salon (every 2 weeks) for years before it was sold last year. Now, you can't even determine who is managing the place. I have been back a few times since the sale, but only when I can't get my nails done in NY because I have had a bad result every time since then. Last week was the worst. The "303 pedicure" was very meh: no complaints- but no compliments either. The bad experience was when it came to the powder dip manicure. I was given a girl named Natalie who looked like she was 18 and spoke ZERO English. Apparently no one else was free for powder except her. It took her an hour(!) and 3 rounds of sanding and soaking just to get my old dip off. I have never seen it take this long. She then filed my nails so short- when I am trying to grow them out from the last time I went to 305 Nails and they talked me into a gel manicure. (Gel isn't thick enough for my weak nails and this caused all of my nails to break.) Not being able to explain what nail shape/length I wanted due to her lack of English was an issue. Natalie held my fingers so aggressively and jabbed her own nail into my flesh while working on each finger. Her violent tapping off the powder with her own nail each time on my fingers was actually painful. She then decided to scoop/pour the powder over each my nails which caused us both to live in a dust-cloud of powder for the remainder of the manicure. Natalie gave me a full manicure with the powder dip which I have never requested there. She didn't ask (again no English) and just proceeded with the full manicure- so I was a little surprised when I was charged the $15 extra for this. Had it been a good experience and didn't take her almost THREE(!) hours to do my nails , I wouldn't have minded as much. The worst part is that the manicure lasted 4 days before it started lifting up at the edges. Normally this happens when a powder manicure is old, but this was after 4(!) days. Clearly Natalie didn't adhere the base properly. I am actually really sad to leave this bad review and even sadder to leave this salon as a long-time customer, but I can't continue going there. Someone needs to step up and manage this salon properly. And give poor Natalie some additional training on nails and on the basic English words you need to use as a nail tech. At this point, I wonder whether Natalie was even licensed. (This salon does not display licenses like many do.) read more

Boyfriend and I are in town and we were looking for a place to get pedicures. We stumbled upon 305 Nails & Spa. Their space was super clean and the staff was very accommodating. On top of that they play fun, upbeat music! Kevin did my pedicure and he was extremely professional and dedicated in his work. My boyfriend's nail tech was Ruby and she was also very friendly and he was satisfied with her service. I called ahead to ask the price of a gel pedicure. Was told it would be $58. No mention of a $20 fee for picking a gel color or a breakdown of their menu pricing. Doris didn't speak English so she gave me a menu with pedicure service options. The lowest being $38, the next one being $53 and they go up from there. Still no mention that gel would be $20 additional. Surprise at checkout I'm rushed through to the tip screen and I'm seeing leave a tip on $75+ and I ask oh is tip included and she says she doesn't understand and doesn't speak English. I close out of the screen in an attempt to go back to the pricing breakdown screen and that's the first I hear that gel color costs $20. Pricing needs to be clear and not hidden. Another fee not displayed is the 3% card processing fee. Why am I paying your card processing fees? A gel pedicure where you're not even offered a glass of water and the service is average shouldn't be almost $90 by the end of it. Absurd. Go anywhere else. read more

We had an appointment at 10 am. We showed up and they didn't even open by 10:15 and they didn't even answer their phone. We booked in advance and got confirmation. So, it was super disappointing. After I posted an initial review, I got a call from the business and rather than apologizing, they tried to make it seem like I booked the service the next day rather than the day I booked it on. read more

I would strongly caution anyone considering Uni K Wax South Beach. Unfortunately, my experience and…read morewhat I witnessed behind the scenes were extremely concerning. The salon itself is not clean, which is alarming for a business that provides waxing services. Sanitation should be a top priority, and it clearly is not. Even more troubling is how the business is run. Staff are reportedly instructed to ignore overcharging customers unless the customer complains. Instead of being transparent, the approach seems to be "don't mention it unless they notice." That alone should make clients think twice. The way employees are treated is equally disturbing. Staff are spoken to disrespectfully, paid late, and sometimes given short hours on their paychecks. When employees ask about pay or scheduling, they're told that if they don't like it, they can find another job. Some were told they would be off for one week, only to wait four months. When they respectfully asked when they would return to work, they were fired for being "disrespectful." There also appears to be little to no proper training. Waxers who expressed they were not ready to perform services were told to "get it together" instead of being properly trained. This not only puts staff under pressure but also puts clients at risk. Multiple employees across their six salon locations have reportedly quit due to what seems to be unprofessional behavior from the owners. That should say a lot. Clients deserve clean facilities, fair pricing, and properly trained professionals. Based on what I experienced and observed, Uni K Wax South Beach does not meet those standards. Please be careful.

Love my nails everytime, the cleanliness and cuteness of the new salon also is a breath of fresh air. I would say most nail salons in south beach are horrible but I saw this new one opened up and decided to try it, definitely did a great job and fair prices for Miami.
