I walked in around noon on a Wednesday and was treated like a Queen. Juliet hooked me up with color, conditioning haircut mask and blowout, massage and a spa gel mani/pedi. They offered a variety of wine. So when I declined, they hooked me up with a cappuccino and pastries. Perfect place to duck into for pampering right next to the beach or the shopping. Bait and switch. I called to ask how much a pedicure would cost and was quoted a price. When I arrived, I confirmed that I wanted a pedicure and asked for confirmation of the price. The manager said the same price as on the phone. Great. I showed him the polish I brought and he claimed it was gel. No, no, I said. just plain Obi nail polish. Strange, no? The pedicure was just OK. The oval shape was not symmetrical on either big toe ... But when I went to pay, suddenly the story changed. The same manager now claimed he had quoted the price for a manicure and not a pedicure! He wanted a base price of $10 more plus fees from the screen taking the money.... crazy! I stood my ground, but no one should be lied to like that. That is not how to make money. read more

While the place itself was nice enough and the staff was friendly, the quality of the work I had done was subpar. I regularly get dip manicures and I usually can go 6 weeks or so in between and my nails still look pretty great. However not even a week or so later and my polish has started chipping and flaking off. For $80 plus tip I'd expect my nails to look good for at least a month! Also my technician was pretty aggressive and almost all of my nail beds/cuticles were actively bleeding and scabbed over! I don't live in Miami but plan frequent trips but will make note to not return if I need another manicure while visiting. read more

I fell short on time for a new manicure before vacation and found a this spa online. I made my appointment online for removal of my old manicure and a new set of gel extensions. This spot also offers every other kind of salon and spa related services. I was glad that services weren't overpriced despite the spa being in a major tourist area of Miami Beach. I called the salon as I was running late for my appointment. They let me know that timing was flexible, as the majority of appointments there are walk-ins. Once I arrived, I was really impressed with the interior design. The salon has a nice combination of glam and retro decor. The entire duration of my service was outstanding. The nail tech servicing me was named Chen. She did an exceptional job with my old manicure removal and application of my new gel extension set. She took as much time as needed and didn't rush any of the steps. She had great attention to detail while doing my nail art as well. I loved how friendly she was and loved talking to her throughout my visit. I was very grateful for such high-quality service from Chen, as my previous manicure from another salon was not done well. When I got home, I noticed that both the polish and acrylic weren't done as well as I hoped. The application of acrylic and polish appears incomplete. Adding to that, I was surprised to see a charge for acrylic gels. I didn't ask for that, and it seemed unnecessary since the same polish was used for my regular pedicure. This left me a bit confused. While the overall experience was okay, the inconsistencies in the nail application and the charge left me with mixed feelings. *UPDATE* It's only been 3 to 4 days and acrylic nails are already lifting. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS !! If you do come here be aware the older lady with copper hair is heavy handed! She completely took my toe nail off and then proceeded to blame me and tell me I have bad nails I have NEVER been told in my life my nails is the cause of someone over filing my nail off! I had to ask multiple times for her to be more gentle and she refused to do as I asked. I upgraded to hot stones in my pedicure and the stones were cold! Tourist trap. Now I have to wait months for the damage to be fixed and they still charged me over 100$ for BASIC mani pedi. Only reason why I came was because my friend was in town we wanted a relaxing experience and this salon was half way between eachother. My friend's pedicure was over cut nails and cuticles as well. Need to say we will never come back and I am reporting this Salon I do not feel these technicians are certified! This is also how I left the salon after paying one nail not painted because of the pain this is impossible to happen unless you over file called a "hotspot" not to mention the paint job was still horrid. read more
