This place is worth it if you are the 1% of the population that also owns a yacht. If you own a vacation home in Malibu or go to the Greenbriar to play croquet then you probably have the money to afford $154 for 2 adults and a 4 and 6 year old. Meow wolf is going to crush this place. Rightfully so with these prices. It feels a lot more like a $20 charge with kids being half of that at most. The great thing will be that if you do pay the price there won't be anyone else in the place other than a man with a monocle eating caviar. We went when there was hardly anyone here, it was perfect! I imagine it's not as fun when it's packed (of course, crowds ruin anything). This place is TOO AWESOME! So many rooms, so many unique pieces in each one, just SO MUCH! It's my new favourite place in Houston. You'll have a blast regardless but I highly highly recommend dosing your brain with a little bit of golden sunshine beforehand to heighten the wonderland factor. There is no better place to do it!! I absolutely adore this place and was so glad that I was able to experience it. Soon as I entered the front door and seen the 3D lobby I was blown away. Each room is just filled with so much color, art and uniqueness. The lady upfront was very friendly and explained everything. She even informed us that they will be opening a roller rink and serve food/drinks soon...I cannot wait!! I love skating so I'm definitely coming back for that. My pictures are a little old but I wanted to show people who are on the fence. I went before the construction when everything was opened. Prices are a little expensive but coming from the Chicago area, this place is bigger at the same price as the artsy places similar to this. I also went to Meow Wolf in Denver. That one costs more but hey if you want to do stuff, it costs money. No such thing as a free lunch. I think once everything is finished, it's worth going at least once. If you're not into pictures or selfies, then this place is not for you. They do have a big parking lot for free. read more

They do not disclose that your credit card will be charged an extra 14.25% in "taxes". This really hit me because I brought 17 people and the "taxes" added up to an extra $50. I hadn't collected enough money from everyone to cover the ticket price and had to come up with the difference myself. If you question them on their 14.25% tax rate, they say it is a "booking fee". So a $35 ticket is really $40. I've been there 4 times. It's a great place with lots of backdrops for family photos. It's a lot bigger than most "selfie museum" locations. And the staff is usually really friendly and helpful. It's a fun photography backdrop and selfie museum location, but a very shady way to raise the price by 6%. read more

This is a nice museum for both the young and old. Went on a Sunday afternoon and bought tickets there, wasn't busy at all so it was good! I didn't get the VIP pass but won't recommend you getting it either. That pass has the same exact experience as a general admission except you can bypass the line and get a discount at the gift shop. My group (5 adults and 3 kids) spent a little over an hour? The worker at the gift shop is rude when you ask a question and the price is on the pricier side. But if you're around the area with nothing to do I would say to check this place out. read more

This place is great! I came here while visiting Houston this weekend and had a blast! I came alone and was unsure of what to expect, especially as an adult, and wasn't sure if this was just for children. It's great for all ages. Kids, teens, and adults alike can have a lot of fun here. The concept here mixes art, sound, and technology in an interactive way. It gave me Meow Wolf vibes. I really enjoyed it. It took me only an hour to get through the entire place which could be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it considering the $35 adult admission price. If you come with more people (especially kids), I'm sure you could easily spend 1 1/2-2 hours here. Considering how interactive it was, I left feeling satisfied with the price of the ticket. It's slightly on the higher end of the spectrum for an IG popup/selfie museum concept, but because you can do a bit more here than just take pictures in different settings, I think it helps justify the higher price tag. I would not complain if the price was lowered to about $30 though. I'm just saying. On my way out of the gift shop, I was told by an attendant that in the summer they plan to have a bar and additional stuff to do outside, which I think would be awesome! First I'll admit I found out about this place from Tik tok. I was pretty sad because their water/rainfall installation was closed the day we went. I also didn't check prices before we went and thought $35 was pretty expensive, they have several installations but it only took us about an hour to walk through with us stopping to take pics for about 5-10 minutes at a time. Also there appeared to be outdoor installations that was also closed during the time we went. Overall, one visit was more than enough. read more

After reading reviews, I wasn't expecting much. However, this spot reminded me of Meow Wolf's omega mart in vegas - endless exploring of rooms and great photo spots. I spent a bit over an hour in here but if you rush, you could do it in 30 minutes. Don't forget to find the "rain" room, as I missed it initially and found 4-5 more exhibits after going back to check. You are no Meow Wolf, but you definitly get a bang for your buck and such a fun experience. Kinda like an Alice in Wonderland for kids and adults of all ages. Here is what to know. 1) This experience is great for the kids all the way up to 100+ years of age. There is something for all to enjoy. 2) Several interactive room - way more than I expected. I had my favorites (see photos), but wondering what will be yours? 3) Lots of space for social distancing and people were extremely courteous making room for everyone to take selfies or any photos for that matter. 4) Purchasing VIP tickets may not be worth it. The only things it is good for is skipping the line to go inside and skipping the line for the water room (which wasn't even that cool). There was no line for anything else. You also get a percentage off from the gift shop, but I didn't see many people shopping. I guess research the pros and cons for VIP - but for two people in their mid 40s, it totally wasn't worth it. 5) Be courteous and respectful of everyone's space. Came here on their 'VIP' package, meaning you could go in at any time on the date selected - not an issue as we went around 9pm on a Saturday and it maybe had 20 people in there total. Spread across the venue, we often had spaces to ourselves and didn't have to fight over picture space. Lots of cool photo ops, some rooms are better than others, but overall it is a good time. Took us about an hour and some change to see it all, although now reading some other reviews I wonder if we missed a couple rooms! Would be cool if their was a checklist to know if you saw it all. Not sure I would recommend the $10 upcharge for VIP flexibility unless you truly need it, it made the ticket price vs venue value a little harder to swallow. read more

$35 for entry. Drove down from Dallas to see this museum. Came @ 2pm on a Monday. (Didn't realize it is probably spring break) but it was WAY crowded. For a place that is kind of a photo op gimic its much less enjoyable when there is so many people. Some rooms were so packed people blocked the entrances and exits. There was a line of 40-60 people for the water exhibit which was so long we didnt even end up seeing. I feel like making online reservations seems pointless if they're letting so many people in at once anyway. Also not everyone was wearing their masks. January 29, 2021 Drove in from Galveston for this...it was Friday afternoon so not crowded. Covid protocols in place...even had the Covid police everywhere making sure you kept your mask on too, child!!! LOL! No, but for real...lots of staff monitoring this. Best new museum in Houston! So much fun for all ages. There's plenty of fun exhibits and hand sanitizing stations. Everyone must wear masks, but it's still a fun experience. Thank you Houston for bringing such an out of world experience! Literally!! Usually experiences are a lot shorter lived than the typical person would like. Especially for the amount of money one might spend on a ticket. BUT.. seismique is something else!! Let me tell you! Better yet, Let me show you a few pictures that do not do justice to what you can see IN PERSON. I do recommend purchasing tickets on an "off day" during the week due to covid. They do only allow a certain amount of people in but did feel a bit uncomfortable from so many people coming in and out in an enclosed space. I do wish they would have limited more on how many people came in but if you're mindful of 6ft spacing and not going into a room with a lot of people, I do think you will be fine. Just like everything, be smart about it.. wear your mask and stand 6 ft away! On a more positive note, the artists that made this experience come alive are absolutely amazing! It is breath-taking and recommend to come here with family (in small groups) and even a friend. Not many can experience this type of out of this world art, imaging and jaw dropping artistic illusion. We did not enjoy Seismique. While the idea and an initial look on their website is cool, we paid $105 to have to leave after 20 minutes. There are so many strobing lights, noises, and mirrors that we got a headache and my child became extremely nauseous. We couldn't stay to see all the rooms. We aren't sensitive to light and sound, but unfortunately this place was extremely overstimulating. There's also an unusual smell that just made us have to leave or we would be physically sick. I would not recommend and we would not ever go back. It was absolutely not worth the ticket price for us. read more

WOW! Out of all the photo op spots, selfie galleries, interactive spots this has got to be the coolest. It was way different from all the rest. It was unique and incorporated hard work from local art students. It was beautiful and immersive! So many rooms and directions. There were even some unexpected crawl spaces. At first glance it looked very child oriented and while it was, it was still very very fun for adults too. A cute family outing, date night, or photo op event. I will say the merch you can get at the gift shop was a little lackluster but I can see some people interested in their little creature merch. The place is really beautiful from what we were able to see. We had to rush through the exhibit of arts. We bought tickets for 8pm which was the last spot. We arrived at about 8:05 to 8:10, the doors were locked and the officer sitting in the chair at the table was sleep. We tapped on the door and no one came, so we waited. A little while later we see a group coming out a door down a little further and ask for assistance, which they tell us they're coming. About 5/10 minutes later they come open the door. At this point it's another group behind us. They inform us it takes about 1hr & 30mins to see the whole exhibit. Which is confusing because they're selling tickets for 8pm and it closes at 9. So with that we have a 30min time frame for us 3 and the party of about 5ppl behind us. The place is beautiful just needs to be organized better with better customer service. read more

I visited this location yesterday with my boyfriend and it was a cool experience. I think it would have been better if we brought our son, but for just two adults, it was not worth the $$. Granted it is not pricey, but there are other things you can do with the $ with a little more excitement. Since we are from out of town, we tried to pick a "tourist" thing to do and can't say I'm happy with the pick lol. But I will say, heather with the purple hair was amazing and very helpful! A lot of the portals and things are interactive and we didn't know which, heather made sure to show us how to utilize them and even offered to take our pictures.
