Staff is incredibly nice and welcoming. They explained the rules and tech really well. The space was clean and big. Lobby area has some comfy seating and water machine for when you wait/recover. My only negative is the price point. It's $50+ a person for 30 minutes. That same day we were doing escape rooms for less than that amount and a guaranteed hour of time. It doesn't seem like they do any kind of specials not even on the weekdays which is unfortunate. Honestly though the experience was great, lots of fun and we look forward to coming back to try either some of the other current games or some of the newer ones coming later this year. I'm not gonna lie when I first looked at the ticket prices and saw that they were 50 bucks I was like no way was this gonna be worth it but I was totally wrong. so the building is pretty big it's really cool. They do ask for reservations but you can showup and technically reserve while you're there but if it's busy then you wouldn't have a spot. They have multiple games you can play. We played the two zombie games and that's what equaled 30 minutes because they were 15 minutes apiece. when you go into the back they give you instructions on how to hold the gun and you watch a video about your game when you enter an open arena it's nothing but a blank space but it's so cool because once you put on the goggles. You see everything definitely virtual reality and it feels real. I was in the game and went up the elevator, and I'm scared of heights, and I got scared and had to remind myself that I was just in a game. We did experience a couple hiccups when it came to our equipment but nothing to ruin the vibe. I recommend this activity to all. It's very immersive and can get overwhelming to some. I wear glasses and they say you can have them under the VR set, I don't recommend that. They were pressed against my face awkwardly. I'm not saying that's the reason I didn't come in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, or 7th place with my group but if I wore contacts like suggested... I probably would have still placed where I placed. This place was so much fun. The weather was insane and we were running late coming from Baytown. They called to see if we were still coming and waited for us. It was very clean. We played the zombie game and it felt so real. It felt like I would fall off the sides of buildings or that I was walking up a ramp when I knew I was in a flat, square room. I really enjoyed this place. My favorite feature was that in the zombie game we had to access to 5 guns at all times so in different situations within in the game we could switch weapons. This is definitely a handy feature to have because in my other virtual reality experiences we had to pick one weapon and use it throughout the game. My nephew and I decided to play the "Outbreak Origins" zombie VR - I was so nervous at first but the entire staff made me feel so reassured that no matter what - we'd have a blast. They were SO right! I would do it over and over again + a million times more! They even have a live stream of the current game happening in the lobby/waiting area for all next game players to watch and enjoy- I thought that was super cool. They also offer 2 different video options for sale afterwards. I wanted the $20 package so badly, went to check out after the game was over, and my wallet was no where to be found After making a few calls and searching EVERYWHERE, my wallet was safe and sound at home the entire time! I asked if they wouldn't mind holding the USB so I could come back and purchase it - the gentleman at the counter, so so kindly, said "Merry Christmas, don't worry about it. This was such a fun experience! I didn't expect much from it, but it was worth the time and money. I went with a group of 4 people and we played Singularity. It was so immersive and realistic -- you're in a completely different world! I was worried I would get motion sickness, but I only had tiny bouts of it. It's that realistic!!! It's so funny and definitely a good bonding experience with your friends. They sanitize all of the gear and make sure it's cleaned and charged before you use it. The gear isn't too heavy, but you do need to be at least 4'6 to play. They said Singularity is one of the harder games to play, but it wasn't too bad (even though I died 7 times) but don't worry, you get to respawn! It's a really cool experience overall. My experience here was not all great. We came for someone's birthday and I believed everyone paid $47 each. The dude that was over the group was kind of a douchebag. He was rude and I felt he was trying to get off of work already and was pretty over it. During the process you have a system like a backpack, headphone and goggles that don't allow you to see. One of the people in our group bumped into the other one and their game system paused so it took 7 minutes of our time. It honestly felt like we were playing for 20 minutes, if that and at the end the douchebag was well it would of been longer but someone bumped into the other person. Okay, well I felt since we technically can't see and they are around us they should do a better job at guiding their group. The game system was cool but not worth it in my opinion. Maybe Houston has a better similar establishment to this. read more

We just did this yesterday and while the concept could be cool, the customer experience is HORRIBLE and really ruined it all. First- the gaming part: we signed up for the 30 minutes and there was 7 of us. There was one straggler that we didn't know so it was difficult for us to work as a team. No introduction, no nothing. Secondly, they bring you into a room to go through the rules of the game, set up, etc. There's no place to lock your personal belongings up, so that was uncomfortable. The girl was going through the rules - I think her name was Alicia or something - was visibly irritable and RUDE. Second - the customer experience: we were asking questions regarding the setup so we could prepare ourselves for the game and she would respond with a one word answer in an annoyed tone. Going into the room where you play was confusing, she yelled at us for not getting in a line, which she asked us to do when the back half was still walking in so we didn't hear her. There was 8 of us in total. There were technical difficulties with the game and the stranger we didn't know was now one of our names and vice versa after the restart and we were already in place. When we tried to tell them, she yelled at us again to get ready to play. During the game, she legit paused it to yell at us again for being too close to the walls. There's 8 of us in one room, and it's practically like herding cows. She could have at least had some patience and just talked to us like adults. Nope. She told us to move our mics, because we were too loud but we couldn't hear each other. The whole gaming part was only about 15 minutes total, after the rules so it definitely did not feel worth it. They don't tell you about the points system, so you don't know what you're shooting for, or that you are individually scored. It was just an entire MESS! We have done The Void in NYC before and the experience with the customer service was just SO MUCH better - the equipment, the game, the people. This was a total let down and although we would try it again, it wouldn't be here. These things are supposed to be fun & she was the exact opposite. There were two other guys in the gaming area but they hardly spoke. It was like they wanted us to hurry up and get out so they could close. Save your money and do something that will be enjoyable. read more

The experience started off terrible when we first arrived as we were not notified that there was a 45 minute delay on a Friday night. They tell you to arrive 10 minutes early before hand, but instead they allowed a party to wait a little long for their other guest to arrive. They could've called or email us to let us know. After suggesting that, they emailed the guest after us to let them know that there was a delay. It's sad that they couldn't even have the decency to do so for us. He said there was no way to contact us, but when we signed up we left our email on there. Whatever. Zombie outbreak was a great game and the experience was really good.
