Shout out to the gentleman that worked last night (9/26/21)!!! Your customer service is impeccable!!! Super understanding, really nice, and very open. I went a group of 5 and all of us were just throwing questions at him and he was great!!! Definitely want to come back just to hang out with this guy again. We loved our visit! This aside this is so much fun!! I've done maybe a dozen escape rooms and none of them can compare to an experience like this. If you're into escape rooms you have to try this at least once or twice. It's actually like being in a different world and everything feels so real. The heights part actually terrified me. It was definitely a lot of fun! I loved this place. We all did. I couldn't look down I was so scared. Can't wait to come back to this place!

This place was such a FUN experience!!! The owner is so nice and friendly!!! She is extremely thorough in explaining how to get started for beginners!! We had an amazing time!! VR is a really really cool experience! We were on two different sides of the room but still enjoying the game together!! It takes team work to win and I would say this is a really cool bonding experience or team building exercise!! I 100% recommend giving this place a try!! We will definitely be back!!!

I've been wanting to try out a virtual reality game for awhile now. On Friday night my boyfriend and I decided we were in the mood for a date night adventure. I came across ExitusVR on Yelp and went to their website to book. After scrolling through their library of games, we decided on House of Fear. Pricing is $33 per person for escape room experiences. They have individual game experience too but I'm not sure if there is a different pricing for those or not. Booking was super easy and convenient. They have their own private parking lot and it was easy to find. The staff member helping us out was also very kind and helpful. I really enjoyed the experience. I will say it's kind of hard to fight the urge to actually move around but once you get the hang of it, it's easy to navigate. I will say my boyfriend and I suck at finding and decoding clues so we got plenty of hints from staff. Although we were super close to escaping, we didn't finish the game in the 1 hour timeframe we had. Overall, I definitely am excited to visit again. I would recommend the experience to everyone!!

When we first got to this place we were a little surprised, it is a lot smaller that pictured. This place is awesome we did two escape rooms in one day because we love it so much, the lady that works is very nice!! I would recommend this place to anyone who wants an affordable VR experience. Overall things are generally great priced super nice atmosphere, everyone that works here is super nice and it is air conditioned. Should you come here? Yes I will admit things are a little under priced but it is really good. This place is amazing in conclusion!!

Adventure and fun awaits you inside!

Do not let the outside look fool you. What awaits you inside will blow your mind. It's like in a sci-fi movie where the character opens the door, goes inside a quaint looking place, then gets transported to a whole new dimension! ExitusVR is the only virtual reality escape room in the Houston, TX area. There are three scenarios to choose from for group play. The venue also has virtual reality multiplayer games to choose from, and also single player games. They only use the best VR equipment currently on the market (HTC Vive, Oculus Rift), and high end gaming machines to power those VR headsets. Rates are affordable, but then again there is no other place like it, so it's hard to compare prices. Since the escape room and VR games may take awhile, customers come in by appointments only. What makes ExitusVR stand out is their exceptional customer service. Since virtual reality is sometimes a hard concept to explain, the owners and their employees do a great job walking you through the process and answering any questions. Did I mention this place is all women owned and employed. Great for equality in the workplace. Stop by if you get the chance. It will be worth it!

We actually worked together enough to escape with 20 seconds to spare! !!!

There's free parking in the garage (upper level), which made things easy. When we walked in, we were greeted right away and got checked in while waiting for our time slot. The waiting area was clean and had some photo opportunity spots. Our game master, Brianna, came over and gave us a quick rundown since it was my first time, which I really appreciated. As soon as we entered the room, I noticed how clean and well-organized everything was. The props were also well taken care of, making this whole experience super immersive. Brianna was really helpful and gave us hints at the right moments whenever we got stuck. There were multiple layers to the puzzles, which made it more exciting and less predictable. It truly kept us engaged the entire time. It ended up being such a great escape room experience for me, and even my friends who have done others said this one stood out. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for something fun to do with friends!

It was really frustrating bc the game master was not really helping us so we waisted a lot of time. We were kind of close towards the end but she still didn't willingly help us like we asked (bc we knew it would be harder with only 3 people really trying at it). It was really fun but we left frustrated. Especially for the price you pay. Definitely come here with your quick thinking, murder mystery, detective friends!

To be fair, the second time was because our original room stopped working, but the staff handled it so well. They moved us to a new room, gave us free T-shirts, and made sure we still had a great experience. I never realized how exciting it could be to work together to solve puzzles and "escape" before. They give you just enough help so you don't get stuck, but not so much that it feels unfair. It's the perfect balance of challenging and fun. That said, I probably wouldn't recommend doing three rooms in a single day--by the third time, everyone was a little aggravated (normal when you're locked in small spaces together!). Once or twice is perfect. Overall, 10/10 would recommend The Escape Game Houston. It's exciting, well-run, and a fantastic way to bond with coworkers, friends, or family.

You go through an entrance that kind of looks like a hotel building ish. You'll still be outside and inside an elevator Theme: you'll figure out what happened to houdini. And right from the get go (when you do find the actual place), it feels incredibly immersive In terms of difficulty, this one one of the more easier ones. I went with 3 other people who have never done an escape room before, and we all succeeded. Some challenging puzzles but nothing you can't figure out with some trial and error This feels a little more on the pricier side ($64/person), but you semi-interact with the "staff" (where most escape rooms they leave you alone). Once there, the escape room is a wonderful way to spend a hot summer afternoon in the cool a/c and out of the Houston heat! There's a clean and bright minimalistic waiting area with clever quirky riddles, bird pics and signs on the walls. (Sidenote: the bathroom is a time portal so be careful). When the escape room event begins Madame Daphne comes out to greet your group and leads you to her tarot reading room where she does readings for about 2 people after handing each person a liability waiver that's kept in their own personalized box, each disguised as a book she pulls from her bookshelf. You crumble your waiver up and throw it in the birdcage with her co-worker Sir Walter, who is in charge of the forms. Each person puts their belongings away for safekeeping in Madame Daphne's wardrobe. It's recommended to put your cellphone away but you are allowed to keep it in case you feel you might need your flashlight. That is the only reason you are to use your cell phone once inside. When everyone's items are stored away and after going over the rules, Madame Daphne leads you into her seance parlor. She uses your group's help to channel the ghosts of Harry Houdini and strange things begin to occur as Houdini confirms he's in the room with you. He demands that Madame Daphne leave and you and your group are then left to solve various clues to free his ghost and yourselves from the escape room. The sound and visual effects, realistic props and stellar acting by the individuals who portray Madame Daphne and the ghost of Harry Houdini make this a truly immersive experience. It's easy to see why this escape room has been ranked as the best one in the country.

Our office booked Beat the Bomb as part of our Christmas party and we had a lot of fun!…read more We selected Beat the Bomb but there are other game types available so make sure to check out all the options on their website. For our experience, we were divided into teams of 4 and worked our way through 4 or so different game rooms with different challenges. One room had lasers crisscrossing the room and we had to make our way through the increasingly harder patterns to reach the other side without hitting a beam. Another room had sensors on the floor that tracked where we were standing and told us to move to certain spots in the room at a faster and faster pace. Another room had dozens of small screens with instructions for dials and knobs on other screens, so you had to work together to convey info to get everything accomplished. Once you're done with all the challenge rooms, your score is the time you have to Beat the Bomb. They dress you up in plastic suits and throw you into a final challenge room where you have to steer a tank as a team through a maze and hit all the targets before the countdown runs out. If you don't get it done in time, you get blasted with paint. We beat the bomb but still opted for the pain blast for the fun of it. If you're looking for a team building event, or have a fun group that like a competitive challenge, this is a great option. If you're thinking of a kid's birthday, make sure they can read confidently since almost all instructions are in text, otherwise would be perfect for that as well.

They also have a menu with food. They have some other game lanes in the lobby you can play while you wait for your session to begin We split up int 2 teams. A team can have between 2-6 people on it (ours had 5). You first choose if you want to do the paint bomb ending or slime (there might be one other option). From there you proceed to 4 interactive game rooms In each interactive game room you have to complete puzzles and objectives. It's more like an interactive live action video game with friends than an escape room. Depending on how fast you meet the objectives you will have time added to your end game where you have to beat the bomb. I'll explain this more in a bit You can wear whatever closes you want (street clothes), but there is some running around, jumping, ducking, and in my case sweating. After the interactive rooms you will get full white hazmat suits (with hoods) and goggles. The suit covers your shoes so you shouldn't really get much anything on you. In this room you are working together to pilot a virtual vehicle that is rolling around and neutralizing bombs. Each member will get a bubble control that you'll squeeze to either go right, go left, got forward, aim, shoot, etc. if you have less than 6 people one person might have multiple responsibilities. This section is timed. If you don't meet the objective in the allotted time you will be slimed or sprayed with paint. We did the paint bomb, we beat it, but we still opted to be sprayed with paint (for the experience). This part is on full display form the lobby Some tips: When you're done at Beat the Bomb you can drive over (or walk) to Saint Arnold's Brewing Company for great beer, food, and merriment. You can also visit Meow Wolf which is located right next door They have bundles where if you have an event you could save up to 40%. This could be a fun party or team bonding activity There is plenty of parking in their parking lot (shared with Meow Wolf), but it is a paid parking lot Cheers!!

Staff - the lady working the room ( I believe she's the owner) is super cool. We did the Avengers themed room and succeeded ( and it was not because of my skills). It was a lot of finding clues to open locks. I felt that maybe 80% of it was finding ways to open locks then use what was hidden to do something to move to the next step. Now, let's be honest, if we are the Avengers, I don't think we are going to look for clues to open locks. I sure there are more effective/efficient ways to open them:-). Same goes for a normal person, lock cutters anyone? Overall it was fun and we finished with about 5 minutes remaining. Think we were there for about an hour total.
