Love Battlefield Houston! We've taken our kids since they were younger (not too young though, older than chuckecheese age) and always have a blast. Our favorites are laser tag and VR. Laser tag definitely goes by quick and the directions are confusing at times for us older folks but it's still fun nonetheless. Last visit we went for my son's birthday, but the adults might have had more fun! Price isn't horrible considering how engaging and interactive it is. Definitely check it out! read more

Found this gem by accident. They are suitable for kids as small as 6 and adults. Their birthday party rooms are minimal and utilize elementary school cafeteria style tables for the space. Everything is BYOB in that respect. But since you are mainly there for laser tag, this gets overlooked by most. Bonus is the retro fully functional Battletech stations for you mechwarrior fans. Key points: multi level arena with many game variations possible: last man standing, robber, capture the flag, etc. Accommodates a maximum of 20 per side for a total of 40. Referees included, with professional staff. Parking can be limited. For group events I suggest party vans and carpooling. Reserve in advance. Very fun and unique experience and would consider this facility - "Laser Tag to the Extreme!" The facility offers various plans depending on how long you would like to play laser tag, all of which are very affordable. There are endless game modes, many obstacles/props, and really becomes an intense workout. I did have a few instances where the equipment sensors and gun malfunctioned and had to switch them out twice. Other than that, there were no other complaints that come to mind. Battlefield Houston also includes a game lobby in the entrance area while people wait for games to switch out. There are VR games and several arcade styled games. read more

Yo Battlefield Houston was super dope! If you are a big kid like me, you will take pride in a good game of laser tag. Not just any laser tag, several rounds of combat laser tag! I recently took a solo trip to Houston and did a quick search on one of my favorite past times. Battlefield offers a variety of games and time slots. Up to 50 players ( Im assuming pre pandemic) battling it out. Since I was a walk in (with an online reservation), I was able to play with the refs. No one was there! It was still pretty fun. Oh yeah....and fun for the kids too. Highly recommend. For the price you can play 1.30 to 2 hours and really get your money's worth. read more

If you book a birthday party here without booking out the place, they will not even try to keep your party on one team even when there are an equal number of non-party people there. I have left messages with the place to seek clarification about different questions that I had, no one ever returned my calls. Entitled, rude, untrained teenagers working there yell at and embarrass the kids. John, the owner/manager, is also rude and unapologetic for the way his 18 yo behave. The place is run down, awful bathrooms, outlets are exposed, horrible teenagers intoxicated by their own power are yelling at the kids -- no customer service. Go elsewhere please. It's not cheap and then to have your kids mistreated to the point they don't have a good time is inexcusable. read more

So much fun!!! We had been wanting to come here for while so when I saw their groupon I bought one right away. I bought the groupon for 4 people which included myself, my husband, my son and his friend. When we arrived the place looks small from the outside but wow its huge!! The battlefield inside is 2 stories, they explain the instructions very well at the beginning and put you in groups. We will be coming back for sure!! Arrived at 5:35 for an hour of lazer tag, after checking in I was told to wait 10 minutes for the next game, so my 9 year old and I poked around the old arcade machines for a while until we are prompted to a black room / pregame holding area... This is where we got excited as game time was close. Five minutes pass, ten, fifteen, twenty-five (!!!) nothing. Now we are just standing in an empty room with 6 other people. No seats and no info. One of the other groups decided to go see what's up, turns out they forgot about us (lesson learned: speak up). Once inside I was surprised by the lofty maze like structure, it had climbing ledge, ramp, plenty of corners, barrels and windows to hide behind and shot from. Think worn out Gotham City. It was pretty cool. The employees were helpful so I quickly forgave them for leaving us standing in a dark room for almost 1/2 an hour. Each game lasts about 15 minutes and they rotate them. For example: kill the leader (where one designated player is harder to kill while the rest of the team protect him), hunger games (each player for himself ) and team games (team with most kills wins). I ended up getting totally into it and was out of breath from all the running (counting it as a workout). I like that they didn't use vests but rather headband with sensors. The guns were bigger than other laser tag I played, but I liked that (although my 9 year old didnt because it was a little heavy for her after a while ). Sunday night seemed to be a good time to go w family because it wasn't crowded. Good times. read more

This is my first time doing laser tag and I am in love. Tips for all: 1. do not be late for the training! If your appointment is at 7:30p, you need to arrive at 7:15p! Otherwise, they wouldn't let you in. 2 go as late as possible to avoid playing with kids 3. Bring water! There are no water fountains ------- My friends and I reserved 90 min game plays that included 3x half an hour sessions. Each session contains around 2-3 mini games. Each person can be shot three times before he or she needs to run back to the med box to revive him or herself. You don't have to worry about friendly fire but their med box can be a little bit glitchy. Setup- it was a two stories obstacle course with low lighting. I absolutely love it - It was a lot more intense than I have expected! The floor weren't all leveled properly and you can utilize enemies's shadows to locate them. Fav Mini Game: Polices vs Thieves Thieves' objective is to open up multiple mailboxes just to steal what they need and the polices need to prevent that within the time limit. This is my favorite because I KO'ed three guys with only one shot left in me. Yes. I'm biased read more

We did a mobile laser tag for a fortnite themed 10th birthday with 12 kids in our backyard. Really a wonderful experience. They did all the setup and did a great job of coordinating all the games. We opted for a 90 minute game and it was enough to wear the kids out. A+++ will do it again next year. read more

Awesome place! I took my stepson and his mom here for the first time; I was a bit worry about how strategical and difficult games will be but the staff and system are amazing. Great indoor arena, very spacious and lots of room. The equipment work great and never malfunctioned. The games were really easy to understand and execute. IF you have 8-13 year olds they will love this place, but its also fun for adults if you come with a party, even office team buildings should be done here. read more

When I went to the site visit as well as my communication via email, nothing but top customer service and though the setup for the game was pretty cool. This was actually a pretty fun place. We've all been to laser tag, and this place isn't THAT different. But the arena is pretty cool with two floors, and the sensors are only on people's heads. You have to be fairly accurate in aiming for headshots, so it adds a bit of skill to the game. I went with a group for a birthday party, which was hilarious to have a birthday room for a bunch of 30 year olds. But the staff were good sports, and we honestly should have ordered pizza and really treated it like a legit 12 year old's party. It was a great way to kick off the night, and everyone had a lot more fun than they thought they would. Sidenote to my older participants out there: Bring athletic clothes. Some of our more out of shape participants were soaked with sweat by the end! It's a lot more intense than you'd think!! read more

Pros: the definitely give you a genuine experience when it comes to laser tag. The maestro is enthusiastic and tells you what to do at every step. The course is 2 levels with plenty of places to hide. Cons: you are not allowed to run (in sight of the refs). This kind of subtracted from the experience (especially because we reserved the whole place and they still wouldn't let our party run) but it was still enjoyable. Amazing place for teens and adults! Ever wanted to pretend like you are playing Call of Duty but didn't want to take a painful hit by a paintball? Well at Battlefield Houston Laser Tag, you get just that chance. It feels like it goes by very quickly, my 1st time in a while since I went lasertagging, it was very fun. I recommend it for all ages. So I used a Groupon and got in with about 30 people total. The prices are just a little bit too high ($20 per person for the first hour) because if you are taking your kids and their friends or something, it can be about $140 for 6 kids and you for one hour. There were 4-5 rounds and they were just like playing on CoD. Except that to respawn you need to go to your base and the life is over exaggerated because to get a kill you need to shoot someone in the head 3 times! They had Team Deathmatch where you just go out and kill and the most kills in 10 minutes wins. Then we had Domination in which there was a small box in the middle of the whole battlefield and you had to hold down a button to your designed team color and it starts racking up points for your team. We played Domination about 3 times and then there was SnD (Search and Destroy). It is a bit different than u would expect but the main concept of it is still the same. The staff there picks out a bomb carrier and you have to help him/her (they mostly pick a female) plant a bomb in one of 3 spots. There is a 3 or 5 minute "fuse" and the moderator always stands by the middle of an objective to moderate. They also tell you a couple of rules but the one I know personally now is no running. I ran and pretended like I was playing CoD the entire time and I didn't understand why they said that. Then towards the end of the final match of SnD, I go to check on the bomb to see if anyone is planting and some little girl about 11 years old sticks her gun out of the window (I looked in) so fast it was like her life depended on it. Not my cup of tea I suppose. When I read largest in the US maybe world I expected BIG. It was a decent size but nothing that wow'ed me. So below are reasons why I thought it was kind of sucky: - It's way too dark inside and you can't see who is on who's team. You can't see but 20 ft in front of you so no sniping. - The game took place all on the second floor cause you can't see and the stairs are difficult to go up and down. - The laser pointer is hard to see and your eye has to be perfectly aligned the scope. No non scope firing cause it has to be a headshot. - The scores and stats don't display for review. Guess this could be fun if a bunch of friends got together to play. There is no alcohol and it's really a kid's place. I applaude the thought of it but poor execution. read more

We reserved the birthday party package for a 10 year old group. The good: Everyone at the party really enjoyed the laser tag. There's plenty of space to move around, the guns are reasonably accurate, and there's a good variety of different game types. You can bring your own food without paying a surcharge. The location is pretty convenient, and everyone had a great time. There are at least a few fun arcade games for kids to try (an air hockey table, car racing game, etc). The day before your event, they'll send an email with lots of detail about what to expect. The bad: You should probably skip the birthday party package, because the staff is incredibly inattentive and you're really just renting a room with some tables. I realize a host isn't included, but I still had to ask for many of the basics that were supposed to be included. Nobody from Battlefield Houston even entered the party room or checked on us at all. You can't bring any water (or any other beverage), so plan on paying at least $1 for each 16 oz water or soda. They don't include forks with a birthday party reservation (they say as much in their email a few days before the party, but it's still surprising). The "party room" is a plain, undecorated room with two tables. I paid for a 2 liter, and they forgot to give it to me -- they just started ringing up the next customer and I had to remind them. Although the employees in the laser tag arena kept things fun, the employees in the front didn't seem to care about much of anything. Will we be back? Probably, because the laser tag was fun. But we wouldn't recommend the birthday package -- every other place we've paid for a party package over the years has made it a lot more fun and interesting compared to Battlefield Houston. read more

We held my son's 12th birthday here and the kids had a BLAST! It's not like regular laser tag where you just run around and shoot at people randomly. During the hour session you go through 5 different scenarios that require you to act as a team and capture the enemy's cube (think old-school capture the flag type game, except with guns), protect the cube and even a good ol'fashioned quick draw contest. The party rooms are standard issue and the game room is a little bare bones, but considering how much fun the boys had in the laser tag arena, none of that mattered. They were so amped up that I swear a couple of them were literally vibrating with excitement. Would recommend you go with a group though. The arena would be too large if there were just a couple of you. We had about 30 people in there at once and it made it a lot more fun. Another reviewer mentioned that it is dark - that's true, but it just makes it more challenging. Stairs are difficult to get up and down, but there are ramps too. They just make you more exposed so it's your call on which way you go. Love that the sensor is just a headband. Frees you up to move around easier. read more

Holy moly, this was sooooo much fun! Laser tag with an EDGE! There was a great twoferone groupon, so $20 for two people to SWEAT for an hour!!! You are brought into a briefing room where a guy yells the rules to you! Shows you how to hold your gun and preps you with a headband sensor and scares the beejeezus outta you if you've never done this before! Once the doors open, you'll get this rush of adrenaline and your hearts starts to race as you look around to see all the darkness, flashing red lights and military noise in the background! You are placed on one of two teams and your mission is explained to you! They did a great job and everyone was very excited to get started! You need to check this place out for yourself! Been here quite a few times with friends. Friendly staff and fun games. Their waiting room consists of a few games tonally while.you wait for your time to play about a dollar per game sadly. But other than that the laser tag itself is very fun. They have a variety of game modes and they explain the rules and how to play before entering the arena. Fun for both kids and adults you will need to wear comfy clothes to play. One of the biggest qualms for me was that the stairs on the field are padded, but are worn out in the middle area which is used the most and under the padded carpet is VERY hard wood which left me bruises each time I went. read more

I saw some great Groupon deals online for Battlefield Houston (BH) and decided to purchase for a family outing. 16 family and friends decided we would meet at at BH this evening. First plus is that you earn a free bottle of water after checking in here. I know that I am not the only one who love the check in deals...The staff was very nice and willing to answer any questions. They honored the Groupon deal without trying to make it complicated. The facility looked neat and well kept. Our 1 hour session was very well organized and eventful. My crew had a great time. Our work team was looking for a team building activity together and stumbled across this. We were just looking for a typical laser tag place - dark place with black lights where you run around and just shoot each other to be the top shooter. We were totally in for a surprise. We did a private party with about 16 people for an hour of play. Who knew I'd be into tactical battlefield missions! We got put into two teams and were put on missions against each other. Was a great team building activity and everyone really got into it. I'd recommend this place for all ages (although I think I would still prefer going the private party route, rather than get totally powned by 11-year-old boys, lol). Tip: Bring some bottles of water with you. I was dying of thirst after the first few missions and there was no water fountain in sight. read more

I came here, expecting it to smell like feet (kind of how an old chucky cheese ball pit would smell) as I knew they would've hosted lots of groups earlier that Saturday. But as we were the last group on Saturday night, it wasn't bad at all. Ample circulation is provided by lots of fans distributed throughout the arena. Only 1 out of 30 or so weapons malfunctioned. Everyone wears a velcro headband to which sensors are attached. The headbands are laundered daily so regardless of how much sweat was in the headband yesterday it's supposed to be clean. Once the matches start, hygiene succumbs to fun. The multilevel arena was well thought-out, and forces people to work together and communicate well in order to win. Don't expect private party play - you will be placed on teams with strangers, and it may be difficult to have your entire group of friends playing on the same team. They don't allow running for safety reasons, so this may disappoint some players.. However, I felt it was necessary because there were numerous times on the upper narrow walkways where, had I been running, I would've jammed my gun into somebody's eye coming around the various corners. Very entertaining and would recommend for any group. read more

Went to Battlefield Houston on Saturday around 8:50 PM for some good ole laser tag fun and I must say this place is awesome! They aren't your cookie cutter laser tag establishment where you just run and try to kill people. They put you on missions and you have to strategize with the your team and that increases the fun and intensity. This is a very intense game and involves a lot of crawling, climbing, tact, and adrenaline. Actually, calling this a game in an understatement, it is more of an experience. And it is one I will definitely be doing again, not just for the excitement but also because you work up a sweat. Great place for fun, games, and a good accidental workout. :) read more

After reading some of the not so good reviews I was a little skeptical before going to play at this place. But I work in customer service myself so I always try to keep an open mind. The day I went was really busy and they probably should've had more staff at the front counter but despite that the staff was amazing and kept their cool and all seemed extremely happy and friendly, one girl in particular went above and beyond to make sure that everyone was satisfied and ready to go, I wish I had gotten their names so I could give them proper recognition. Back in the "battlefield" you get to play laser tag like you have never played before. I will never play laser tag anywhere but battlefield Houston after this!!! I'm glad I was invited by my friends to join them here! This laser tag experience was exhilarating! Hearing about how great this place already had me up on my toes. I couldn't wait to step in and have the time of my life. The lobby had arcade games, a private party room, and they sold drinks behind their desk. I saw lots of monster drinks and never came across some of them. I paid $23 for an hour. It's cheaper if you find them on groupon! Just returned from BH. My buddy and I took three kids (ages 9,12, and 13). My nine-year old daughter was a little overwhelmed by the noise and intensity, but the staff there WAS INCREDIBLE and she probably had the best time of any of us. My husband and I did the VR Escape Room (my first VR ever and my first Escape Room ever). The staff was SUPER friendly and accommodating, but the arcade was tiny and my VR headset was so glitchy I wasn't able to see the end when we escaped. :( I found a bag of coins and went to return to the front desk, but an employee told me I could use them for my birthday which was awesome and saved me about $20 worth of coins. Overall, cool experience. If the system wouldn't have glitched, and the arcade was bigger and more diverse, it would've earned 5 stars from me. read more

My son and I came here just too check it out. The whole atmosphere is very nice and it was bright inside which I really like. We were greeted by a very nice lady, she told me about the multitude of of games they have there. Laser tag and VR! Both sounded interesting but I decided to play the laser tag. I had to ask her for her name it was Raven I think, one thing I wish they had was name tags so you can thank them properly. But anyways we signed up for an hour of laser tag and went through the training. The man that trained us was very detailed about the rules and what we were supposed to do, he also helped me understand the respawn mechanics and it was interesting cause it was headshots only! This was my first laser tag I've been to that did that and it was super entertaining. When we entered the arena it was really big and surprisingly dark yet it was easy to see and it actually made everything feel more tactical. We played 3 different kinds of games. All of which where very fun! The hostage game mode was my favorite. At the beginning of each round they tell u the rules and answer any questions you have about the games. The workers were all very helpful and made the whole experience a lot more enjoyable. At the end of everything I was pretty sweaty but I was getting really into it. The guy that did a lot of the talking had a really deep voice and made it seem like a video game. Me and my son both had a great time and enjoyed the whole experience. Also there were 2 floors! SO MUCH ATTITUDE. This facility is run by entitled teenagers who make adults feel like idiotic misbehaving children. The laser tag itself was fine but the check in counter employees were rude and extremely unkind. They expressed that we couldn't play (their were 9 of us) until 2:30 and we arrived at 1:15. That part was fine. When the final 2 of our group arrived at the counter, we were told that their were no longer enough guns bc they died and needed to be charged. This was confusing to us as we were just told we could play at 2:30. The gentlemen behind the counter YELLED at us that "we could play but without guns... is that what you want?" I am not familiar with your protocol, SIR, so the fact that your guns die is something YOU should be aware of and say "it is likely we can accommodate all of you by 2:30" NOT "we WILL accommodate you." Neat idea, I give it a B for novelty, but F- on customer service. I spent $100 -200 a week there for my family and me hoping it might get better, but they really seem to have lost sight of the fact that the customer should be happy. They are either purposefully rigid and unaccommodating in an attempt to sell expensive memberships, or they really just put the customer last. (or maybe are trying to make customers wait for 45 minutes - 1 hour for absolutely no reason except maybe hope that they spend $10 on the lame video games and other ripoff games in the lobby. I will not be returning. Its also only marginally air conditioned, so in the summer expect it to be hot and stuffy. read more

Through all my last minute tweaks and lack of communication... battlefield Houston made the night. We had video game trucks and inflatables to compete with and kids were so excited to play laser tag.
