We always have a great time here! The rooms are so well thought out and the game masters are great to interact with. Our favorite room in Houston is here - the NASA room!! It is the only room we have done where we BARELY escaped with seconds left on the clock. It was so much fun and required legit team work. Their new Game Room series is also so unique and an amazing addition to their rooms!! They have two different rooms, one for smaller groups (10-12 people) and a bigger one for up to 30 people!! I'd love to get a big group together to try the bigger room. We did the smaller room for a family event and had such a great time.

We won with 8 minutes to spare! Thanks for the great customer experience, Crow! 3

I'm celebrating my 43rd birthday with my two best girlfriends from my various walks of life, and we chose to do the Alice in Puzzleland together to celebrate my crazy life. We've become fans of escape rooms, and this was the third one we've done together as well as the third one we'd EVER done. Our first one was a disaster - not here, at a completely different place - with a broken game with bad puzzles and limited clues that weren't nearly enough. The second one we won with 30 seconds to spare and were so dang proud of ourselves! This one was really cool because we all had pretty deep fandom knowledge of Alice in Wonderland, and we worked together to solve all the puzzles and open all the secret stuff (the puzzles themselves worked flawlessly, by the way. There were some lighting issues and a potential hazard that we reported, but the experience was MUCH smoother than we had other places), and Crow was our awesome guide. He was patient with us, guided us when we tried to brute force (strategy, not actual force) a puzzle, but didn't give us information we didn't need or ask for. His timely advice made our escape room experience all that much smoother, and we solved it with 8 minutes to spare, so thanks, Crow! The three crazy ladies from Alice in Puzzleland thank you. :)

thank you Crow for your hospitality today!! took my daughter and niece for an escape room. Alice in Puzzleland! they had so much fun! crow was so nice to us and let us mamas see the room really quick!! very cool! next time we come to to to see family (I'm from CA) we will be back!! thanks!!

I manage the internship program for my organization and for a farewell event we went to Escape Houston. I had a group of 35 people, they were able to host us very comfortably. They split us up into four rooms, one room was for a group who has done an escape room before. The owner and his wife were great host, exceptional customer service and exceeded my expectations for my event. It really shows that they love what they do and want to make sure you have a great time. There facility has multiple rooms and is large to host any size group. I highly recommend this to anyone, regardless of the size of your group!

Which one would you recommend more Theft of the texas loan star or Marylebone murder?

The murder one was lots of fun. We preferred that one of the two we did.

Went with my family to do the Apollo 13 room and this was by far the best escape room experience I've ever had.

The hints gave just enough info so that someone in our group would be able to work out the solution without us ever getting frustrated. We escaped with a few minutes remaining and felt very accomplished (we did save the galaxy after all haha). For those worried about difficulty, this location allows you to ask for hints at any time, making the challenge scalable to your own preference. The theming of Cosmic Crisis was very cool, and the technology was also pretty impressive! We'll definitely be returning to tackle some of their more challenging rooms!

To be fair, the second time was because our original room stopped working, but the staff handled it so well. They moved us to a new room, gave us free T-shirts, and made sure we still had a great experience. I never realized how exciting it could be to work together to solve puzzles and "escape" before. They give you just enough help so you don't get stuck, but not so much that it feels unfair. It's the perfect balance of challenging and fun. That said, I probably wouldn't recommend doing three rooms in a single day--by the third time, everyone was a little aggravated (normal when you're locked in small spaces together!). Once or twice is perfect. Overall, 10/10 would recommend The Escape Game Houston. It's exciting, well-run, and a fantastic way to bond with coworkers, friends, or family.

You go through an entrance that kind of looks like a hotel building ish. You'll still be outside and inside an elevator Theme: you'll figure out what happened to houdini. And right from the get go (when you do find the actual place), it feels incredibly immersive In terms of difficulty, this one one of the more easier ones. I went with 3 other people who have never done an escape room before, and we all succeeded. Some challenging puzzles but nothing you can't figure out with some trial and error This feels a little more on the pricier side ($64/person), but you semi-interact with the "staff" (where most escape rooms they leave you alone). But all in all, probably the most unique one I've done!

Strange Bird is located in a small suite inside of a large office complex so directions are…read moredefinitely needed to find your way. Once there, the escape room is a wonderful way to spend a hot summer afternoon in the cool a/c and out of the Houston heat! There's a clean and bright minimalistic waiting area with clever quirky riddles, bird pics and signs on the walls. (Sidenote: the bathroom is a time portal so be careful). When the escape room event begins Madame Daphne comes out to greet your group and leads you to her tarot reading room where she does readings for about 2 people after handing each person a liability waiver that's kept in their own personalized box, each disguised as a book she pulls from her bookshelf. You crumble your waiver up and throw it in the birdcage with her co-worker Sir Walter, who is in charge of the forms. Each person puts their belongings away for safekeeping in Madame Daphne's wardrobe. It's recommended to put your cellphone away but you are allowed to keep it in case you feel you might need your flashlight. That is the only reason you are to use your cell phone once inside. When everyone's items are stored away and after going over the rules, Madame Daphne leads you into her seance parlor. She uses your group's help to channel the ghosts of Harry Houdini and strange things begin to occur as Houdini confirms he's in the room with you. He demands that Madame Daphne leave and you and your group are then left to solve various clues to free his ghost and yourselves from the escape room. The sound and visual effects, realistic props and stellar acting by the individuals who portray Madame Daphne and the ghost of Harry Houdini make this a truly immersive experience. It's easy to see why this escape room has been ranked as the best one in the country.

Beat The Bomb Houston - The kiddos...well our young adults!!!

Our office booked Beat the Bomb as part of our Christmas party and we had a lot of fun!…read more We selected Beat the Bomb but there are other game types available so make sure to check out all the options on their website. For our experience, we were divided into teams of 4 and worked our way through 4 or so different game rooms with different challenges. One room had lasers crisscrossing the room and we had to make our way through the increasingly harder patterns to reach the other side without hitting a beam. Another room had sensors on the floor that tracked where we were standing and told us to move to certain spots in the room at a faster and faster pace. Another room had dozens of small screens with instructions for dials and knobs on other screens, so you had to work together to convey info to get everything accomplished. Once you're done with all the challenge rooms, your score is the time you have to Beat the Bomb. They dress you up in plastic suits and throw you into a final challenge room where you have to steer a tank as a team through a maze and hit all the targets before the countdown runs out. If you don't get it done in time, you get blasted with paint. We beat the bomb but still opted for the pain blast for the fun of it. If you're looking for a team building event, or have a fun group that like a competitive challenge, this is a great option. If you're thinking of a kid's birthday, make sure they can read confidently since almost all instructions are in text, otherwise would be perfect for that as well.

They also have a menu with food. They have some other game lanes in the lobby you can play while you wait for your session to begin We split up int 2 teams. A team can have between 2-6 people on it (ours had 5). You first choose if you want to do the paint bomb ending or slime (there might be one other option). From there you proceed to 4 interactive game rooms In each interactive game room you have to complete puzzles and objectives. It's more like an interactive live action video game with friends than an escape room. Depending on how fast you meet the objectives you will have time added to your end game where you have to beat the bomb. I'll explain this more in a bit You can wear whatever closes you want (street clothes), but there is some running around, jumping, ducking, and in my case sweating. After the interactive rooms you will get full white hazmat suits (with hoods) and goggles. The suit covers your shoes so you shouldn't really get much anything on you. In this room you are working together to pilot a virtual vehicle that is rolling around and neutralizing bombs. Each member will get a bubble control that you'll squeeze to either go right, go left, got forward, aim, shoot, etc. if you have less than 6 people one person might have multiple responsibilities. This section is timed. If you don't meet the objective in the allotted time you will be slimed or sprayed with paint. We did the paint bomb, we beat it, but we still opted to be sprayed with paint (for the experience). This part is on full display form the lobby Some tips: When you're done at Beat the Bomb you can drive over (or walk) to Saint Arnold's Brewing Company for great beer, food, and merriment. You can also visit Meow Wolf which is located right next door They have bundles where if you have an event you could save up to 40%. This could be a fun party or team bonding activity There is plenty of parking in their parking lot (shared with Meow Wolf), but it is a paid parking lot Cheers!!
