Weston was a great host. Came here with my 11 year old and we were locked in the Aurora room. The hardness level online was 7/10 but honestly more than one of the puzzles left me utterly perplexed. We came at the last slot of the day from 4:25-5:25 and Weston was nice enough to let us stay a couple minutes after to get it done. All in all it took us about an hour and 10 min. Part of this is in comparison to the two other escape room businesses we've tried in Houston, one of which is national, and Locktopia is one location and family owned. Nonetheless, the decor is fine, puzzle variety is not where I'd want it to be. I won't share the solution detail but it's a lot of doing the same type of thing. That can still definitely be a challenge, but it would be nice to have more variety. Ability for your group to divide and conquer by having puzzles not all require to be in sequence--not possible. All in your group will have to focus on one puzzle at a time (at least in the one room we've played). If they change anything up--that's what I'd recommend. It's not as much fun for all 10 of us to crowd around one puzzle. It's really 1-3 people solving that puzzle while others watch. Game master was very polite and helpful. The vibe at Locktopia is less corporate which felt nice. Check-in was easy and we didn't have to wait. Overall we had a good time. read more

We were a party of 4. We did the room Endurance. We escaped the room with just over 9 minutes left and using only 1 clue. This room was very, one clue to the next, not multiple things going on at the same time. We have done many escape rooms so this could be why we didn't find this to be the hardest room we've ever done though they do consider it to be their hard room. The room we chose was were pretty basic, kind of cheaply done, and not really immersive. Some of the clues/props weren't working which affected our ability to solve the puzzles timely. I was less than pleased with my birthday party on January 3. I booked for two rooms. All of my kids were whisked away to one room by the employee, although I purchased two different escape rooms. Once the girls were done with the first room, I asked the attendant would we be able to use the second room that I paid for. I was told no that we would not be able to because it had been close to an hour before they were done. My issue is I could've paid for one room and saved a couple of hundred dollars or I could have split the girls up and put them in both rooms getting my money's worth, but I was not given that option by the attendant therefore I am out of a couple of hundred dollars for no reason whatsoever. Also, no one ever came to check on us throughout the party except when to track us down to make sure a kid signed a waiver. Other than that, it felt as if we were invisible. In fact, the employee never came back into the room until we were packing up, loading up our things and he felt rhe need to warn us that the party was over in 10 minutes as if we were not already putting things in the car. No one saw us out, nor help to see us out. In fact when we left there was no one around to say thank you, ask us how we enjoyed it, because if they asked me how I enjoyed it all he would have gotten a mouthful because I was very much less than pleased with my visit considering the fact I paid for nothing. I gave them money for a room to do nothing. Aactuallyt, I believe that room was being used because other individuals kept coming in the place so I am pretty sure that the room that I paid for was being paid for and used by someone else, but once again I'm out of the money because the employee did not ask me if I wanted to divide my group in half. The only upside of the party was the fact that the kids did enjoy the escape room itself, however, the customer service, which I am really big on, was nowhere near up to par. It was as if they were just there for the job and no one actually cared about the customers and how we felt and at the end of the day, I will never get over the fact that I spent money for nothing. If I pay for it, I should have had access to it, and I was not given that option. Now if anyone feels the need to reach out to me, please do so. Once again my party was booked January 3 at 3 PM. This was a great escape room! We really enjoyed Endurance - it was a difficult room but manageable with 3 people and lots of clues. The rating of 8/10 online is a fair representation of the difficulty. MJ was very patient with our requests for help! I had no idea we had an escape room near the area! The place is booked up on the weekends and there are birthday parties held there too, so plan ahead and reserve :) Ruby was our friendly Game Master and gave us an intro explanation before we stepped inside the room. You have 60 minutes to solve the room and 3 hints available, and any additional hints require you to tell a joke or do some silly act! Per other reviews 6/10 difficulty can be solved by parents and their 6 year olds, so we opted for 8/10. This was our 2nd escape room and we were able to solve it, so maybe go for a more difficult level than you anticipate. Our room was clean and well designed! One of our acts required a redo, as we had the right idea, but Ruby had to intercom overhead to try it again since it didn't trigger the correct response (thanks Ruby!). And another one was accidentally triggered, but besides from that, the flow of the game was smooth. At the end, you get to color a little lock and hang it at the front for completing a game successfully! Overall it was fun, and I'd definitely come back in the future for a fun activity or bonding experience with friends :D read more

Not to be confused with Lock-Tapioca Escape Room, which is a really bad Boba shop that you can't get out of. I've been wanting to try this escape room for a long time and it seems pretty good. It's pretty expensive but most of them are. Especially considering the areas they're in - fancy ones, like this in West U. It seems like a lot of fun and one which I would definitely come back to. We didn't get to try any of the rooms yet, but we checked it out and talked to them, got all the info, looked around, and they seem friendly and it's definitely high up on our list of things to do in the near future. I'm definitely excited about it. I'm surprised nobody on Yelp has already been here so I encourage you to do so. read more

A friend of mine was in town for the day and he suggested we come here for some fun. I can't lie. I didn't know what to expect. Hanna explained the rules and then set us free. I will say my friend and i both felt dumber than a 5th grader . But we had so much fun. If it weren't for Hanna we would have been lost in the sauce. We completed the game with 46 seconds to spare. On Monday, July 24th, our party of four adults came here for a very positive and beginner-friendly experience. :) We were very impressed by the interactive and immersive nature of the escape room! It was fantasy themed with dungeon-like decor and magical items galore.
