Ok - so this was my first time doing something like this. I am NOT a puzzle solver, I am claustrophobic and I have anxiety issues..... I was nervous to do this.... I will echo the other reviewers that this place is a bit hard to find. BUT, once we were in it was GREAT. We did the Hotel Secret's room and it took all 4 of us almost the whole hour and all 3 hints to make it out. I am really glad I went and I am open to doing this kind of thing again in the future. We did the naughty list and it was great. A few of the puzzles were difficult but fair. Ivan was an awesome game master and we were impressed after the game how much attention he payed to our progress and gave just the right level of hints when requested. As a family we have done ~30 escape rooms and this one was near the top. We also found it nice that the room had a lot of locks. A lot of rooms we have done lately seem to be more electronics and technology, so it was nice to have lock based puzzles. read more

They had creative ideas to unlock the mystery. The host was great with helping us or providing time. This is by far the WORST escape room ever! There was only one employee working. She did a terrible job monitoring the room. The cameras either didn't work or she just wasn't watching us. The room was not set up at all. EVER SINGLE PUZZLE malfunctioned and the moderator had to let us thru the door. The cell phone had a crack on the screen and almost cut my finger. The computer wasn't on to solve the final puzzle and when we asked the moderator she said that it was supposed to be on and asked why we didn't tell her.... what?!?!? It's an escape room. Everything is a puzzle leading to a surprise we figured it was a puzzle to solve. NEVER GO HERE. read more

We did the Crazy artist escape room. The idea was really cool and interesting but was poorly executed. It was also falsely advertised the pictures on their website looked nothing like the actual room. Several tasks were unnecessarily time consuming. An example of this is flipping through two 200 page books to find the year of the paintings. The game guide was also not very helpful,when we asked for a clue we would have to wait around 5 minutes for her to give us a clue and their microphone were no the best of quality so it was hard to understand the game guide. read more

Do not go here!!! My group and I prepaid for an escape room at 4:30 p.m. Not only was the building hard to find but no one was there when we arrived. The worker showed up 15 minutes behind us. At first, his excuse was that he got the time wrong then he changed his excuse to traffic. The whole situation was very unprofessional. We chose not to perform the escape room . This is super fun activity. They have four different rooms and i did the Dali art adventure with my 70 year old mom, sister, and 9 year old niece. We had an absolute blast. The owner did a great job knowing when we did and didn't need help as it was our first time. It's an absolute great way to work together as a team and feel accomplished with each item you solve. FYI - the strip mall might look shabby and abandoned, but the facility itself is really well kept. Definitely must go! read more

Pass on this Yelpers! Don't pre pay! Warning... This may be funny to some and irritating to others. My co workers and I decided on a whim to go to this escape room after dinner. None of us live in Houston so if you do you love the next part. We are trying to follow the GPS from our hotel in Cypress. Wayze tells us to beat rightbut I really meant stay in the 4th lane to bear right and take the secret ramp that goes over where you are. "Rerouting...." We get off and turn around and a second Friend turns on Google maps. We start following Google and I'm the back seat looking at the Waze screen with another girl. Google told use to take the highway going left and Waze the highway going right. We could not stop laughing. We get to where it's supposed to be and don't see anything but a strip club . We for real cannot find it. It not on any of the strip mall signs around us. I call and after like 30 seconds a guy says "hello?" I describe to him we are at a building we think is behind where he is and appears to be a strip club and all him to clarify the address. "Oh. The address? I don't know. Let me check" WTF?! LOL. At this point I have no filter from my brain to my mouth. I am him the suite # and he was truly confused but what that meant. We ended up finding it in the strip mall next to the strip club. He came out to get us. There is no way in hell we would have found it. Kinda shady but honestly it made the whole thing hilarious. It was my 1st escape room. When we find the cure we needed and are waiting for the big finale to open the last door. Nothing happens. We call him on the walkie to if there is another clue and he says we saved the world and the door will be open...... He meant the original door we came in through. Me: "That was anticlimactic." Friend: I could have gotten a better climax if I'd started at the hotel Me: that's what she said Smh The others who have done these before assured me that it's not supposed to be this lame. This was my second escape room experience. What I liked about this one was that you felt progress with small wins throughout. However, overall I felt like it was a little too easy. My fiancé found Quest Shark Adventures on Groupon, and I have to say at first I was skeptical. We had an appointment for noon and they asked us to reschedule for one. When we got to the facility we were greeted by the operator Nick. He was very clean very professional and friendly, he also is very knowledgeable about the puzzle making. He seems equal part carpenter, electrician, and programmer. We did Crazy Artists Workshop and at first I thought the rooms were kind of bare, but after everything I realized it needs to be to eliminate distractions. Without giving anything away it was a great puzzle that made you use all sorts of sources. We barely solved it in the time limit. Really is a ton of fun and they said they have plans for more puzzles to come out soon. We did our puzzle with two people I would recommend a group of 2-6 but they can accommodate 12 at a time. Totally worth a visit, I hope they'll be in Houston for a long time. P.S. Sorry for the lack of pictures but I wouldn't want to ruin the fun! read more

This place sucked. The room was not set up correctly, half the clues you needed to unlock things were locked into the boxes you were trying to open. Some items were missing or broken. The help we recieved came from a person we couldn't really understand and they would tell us things after we'd already completed a task. So not worth the money. read more

It was very fun! This is the second escape Room I try and it did not disappoint. I went in a group of 5 including an 11 year old. We tried the Hotel room and escaped in about 50 minutes. If I could give this place zero stars I would. DO NOT PAY ONLINE FOR YOUR RESERVATION!!!!!!!! This place took my money and the place was closed when we showed up! I called over 10x and no one ever answered. I even called the next day. I made a bank dispute and to this day Shark Quest Adventures is staring we "didn't show up". This is SCAM!!! The staff were super accommodating, making the sign-up process quick and easy, and even suggesting ways to tailor it for my daughter. They hid gifts in the escape room. We had a great time here and loved the Salvador Dali room that we went into. It was very creative and put together well. The staff was very friendly and helpful. And the place was very clean and organized. The only issue that we had is that we finished the game and it seemed that our game leader left us for awhile and we didn't know for sure if we had actually reached the end of the game or not for a few minutes before she returned. We were also a little intimidated by the looks of the outside of the building and not a clear sign indicating where the business was but that was minor. This was a really neat experience! I didn't know what to expect, but I was really impressed with how intricate this life-size puzzle was! I went with 2 friends, and enjoyed working together with them to figure out the clues, which were often not obvious. It certainly kept us on our toes!!! The rooms were fun and challenging with a reasonable amount of hints and we were able to make it out in time. Nik who is one of the owners is super helpful and accommodating. My wife and I went here with two other couples on a Thursday night. This was the first time any of us had done an escape room. The owner of the establishment was very courteous and pleasant. He gave us a brief introduction and laid out the ground rules. Then we were put inside the escape room. It was an absolute blast! The room was very clever and fun. The owner clearly put a lot of thought and effort into the details of the room and props. However, my wife and I agreed afterward that the puzzles/challenges could have been more difficult to solve.
