Some other places really have visitors…read morerely on their imagination and can feel kind of cheesy, but here, they do a fantastic job with building the rooms to make things feel more immersive and realistic. Clues are unlimited and given without penalty if needed. Most clues/puzzles are straightforward (can still be challenging but seems like people could eventually figure them out), but there have been one or two where we all agreed they were a stretch... Still fun! For newbies, the Gold Rush room is a fun introduction on the easier side that can easily be done without hints. Escape rooms are great to play and then discuss over a meal after, and they make a great team-bonding experience! If you have some extra time, you can play another game afterwards for a discount on the same day :D The only thing I can find fault with: if you have less than 8 players, then there may be other groups joining you. So if one wants to guarantee a completely private game, they'll have to book out 8 spots. Other places don't have that rule, so if that's not an option, look for the game rooms in the suburbs (namely, in Sugarland!). There's also another location at City Center that has even more rooms! I'm pretty sad that we've pretty much played all the games over the years, so I'm really hoping they swap in some new rooms... fingers crossed! The Escape Game continues to be my favorite escape room, so whether you're a newbie or a pro, do check them out!

There's free parking in the garage (upper level), which made things easy. When we walked in, we were greeted right away and got checked in while waiting for our time slot. The waiting area was clean and had some photo opportunity spots. Our game master, Brianna, came over and gave us a quick rundown since it was my first time, which I really appreciated. As soon as we entered the room, I noticed how clean and well-organized everything was. The props were also well taken care of, making this whole experience super immersive. Brianna was really helpful and gave us hints at the right moments whenever we got stuck. There were multiple layers to the puzzles, which made it more exciting and less predictable. It truly kept us engaged the entire time. It ended up being such a great escape room experience for me, and even my friends who have done others said this one stood out. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for something fun to do with friends!

They moved us to a new room, gave us free T-shirts, and made sure we still had a great experience. I never realized how exciting it could be to work together to solve puzzles and "escape" before. They give you just enough help so you don't get stuck, but not so much that it feels unfair. It's the perfect balance of challenging and fun. That said, I probably wouldn't recommend doing three rooms in a single day--by the third time, everyone was a little aggravated (normal when you're locked in small spaces together!). Once or twice is perfect. Overall, 10/10 would recommend The Escape Game Houston. It's exciting, well-run, and a fantastic way to bond with coworkers, friends, or family.

While the room didn't look as polished as the usual corporate escape rooms I have played, the room was still really fun and all of the puzzles worked well. The room ended up being way bigger than I thought. The puzzles didn't require a ton of abstract thinking (like second letter of every word starting a sentence in the second chapter of a book, etc.) and were fun and satisfying to complete. The game master does initially try to help you out if you are stuck, but you can ask for less clues (or ask for unlimited clues without penalty). Our game master, Dana, was super nice and enthusiastic :) You can reserve online, pay in advance, and add an optional tip to your game master via venmo/zelle. Totally worth the 30 minute drive for me-- excited to play again (but also sad there are only 2 more to try)!

When everyone's items are stored away and after going over the rules, Madame Daphne leads you into her seance parlor. She uses your group's help to channel the ghosts of Harry Houdini and strange things begin to occur as Houdini confirms he's in the room with you. He demands that Madame Daphne leave and you and your group are then left to solve various clues to free his ghost and yourselves from the escape room. The sound and visual effects, realistic props and stellar acting by the individuals who portray Madame Daphne and the ghost of Harry Houdini make this a truly immersive experience. Even with all the time lost on malfunctioning pieces, we beat it with a lot of time to spare so not very challenging.

It was a lot of finding clues to open locks. I felt that maybe 80% of it was finding ways to open locks then use what was hidden to do something to move to the next step. Now, let's be honest, if we are the Avengers, I don't think we are going to look for clues to open locks. I sure there are more effective/efficient ways to open them:-). Same goes for a normal person, lock cutters anyone? Overall it was fun and we finished with about 5 minutes remaining. Think we were there for about an hour total.

The location is a little sketch, but don't let that fool you, the Quest Shark Adventure's suite is immaculate. We recently completed the Hotel's Secrets room, which was actually really fun. We had a group of 6, and this was our third escape room, so it was a little below our experience level. I would very highly recommend the hotel escape for beginners, with an absolute maximum of six people. What was really great about this venue as opposed to others, is that the clues are slightly non-linear, meaning that not everyone has to be working on one thing in order to unlock the next clue. I look forward to trying the Dali painting, and I hope they finish the rest of the rooms, as I can't wait to see what else they have planned. read more

This was an incredibly fun place to go to! It was my first time ever going to an escape room, and it definitely won't be my last. I'm hooked now lol. The group, which I went with, was also rather inexperienced in this sort of stuff, but the Escape Zone staff made sure that our time there was memorable and fun - they were very friendly, punctual and attentive! I will certainly come back for more, as there are two more rooms with different themes, which are supposedly more difficult than the one we tried to escape from. My first escape room and an amazing experience. There's 4 different experiences at this location and I picked the Salvador Dali. There was only two of us looking for clues and trying to find the missing painting. We had so much fun, I've decided to steal a few ideas to kick up my airbnb. We had an after work team building activity at the Escape Zone. They had a couple of different scenarios which were challenging but able to be beaten with some thought. Don't let the location deter you. This place is challenging and fun. The couple that run it are extremely nice and the rooms are really well done. We had a group of ten and took both rooms. The kids from 13 all the way up to the adults had a blast. It was a really fun night. read more

It's more like an interactive live action video game with friends than an escape room. Depending on how fast you meet the objectives you will have time added to your end game where you have to beat the bomb. I'll explain this more in a bit You can wear whatever closes you want (street clothes), but there is some running around, jumping, ducking, and in my case sweating. After the interactive rooms you will get full white hazmat suits (with hoods) and goggles. The suit covers your shoes so you shouldn't really get much anything on you. In this room you are working together to pilot a virtual vehicle that is rolling around and neutralizing bombs. Each member will get a bubble control that you'll squeeze to either go right, go left, got forward, aim, shoot, etc. if you have less than 6 people one person might have multiple responsibilities. This section is timed. If you don't meet the objective in the allotted time you will be slimed or sprayed with paint. We did the paint bomb, we beat it, but we still opted to be sprayed with paint (for the experience). This part is on full display form the lobby Some tips: When you're done at Beat the Bomb you can drive over (or walk) to Saint Arnold's Brewing Company for great beer, food, and merriment. You can also visit Meow Wolf which is located right next door They have bundles where if you have an event you could save up to 40%. This could be a fun party or team bonding activity There is plenty of parking in their parking lot (shared with Meow Wolf), but it is a paid parking lot Cheers!!

The process is very personal so that took some getting used to but I found that to be the most enjoyable about it. You get one hour to decorate your bear and if you're local you have a few days to pick it up once it dries. Our bears were $85 and shipping was $15. The delivery was smooth and my baby made it to me without any issues. I named her Fern :-). I'd definitely recommend this as a fun activity that's not liquor or food focused. Parking was a bit hectic but we were able to find something right outside. The area itself is walkable with lots of shops and places to eat surrounding it also.
