I'm always amazed at all the new ways businesses find a way to tap my credit card. Activate Games is an interactive arcade for both kids and adults. Games involve running, jumping, throwing balls, maneuvering around lasers, etc. Each game is in its own room and scores are kept on your profile. You can compete as a team or against each other. Max capacity of each room is 5, so if you have a group bigger than that, you'll need to split up. If you decide to bring your kid, I recommend they be able to do things like throw a ball somewhat accurately, toss a basketball in a hoop, or be able to reach high enough for some interactions. I know my 4 year old won't be able to do most of these, but can't wait until he grows bigger to be able to. Some of the rooms had little quirks that needed addressing. For example, the laser guns did not work for us, one of the stepping tiles didn't react, one of the screens had the touch screen keyboard pulled up accidentally (covering half the screen). Make sure you wear athletic clothing and stretch before going. Fun place for team building, fun date, friends hangout, or just letting the kids burn energy.

Great spot, came here for the first time today, with the family, and we all enjoyed it, hour and 15 minute time slots, which is a decent amount of time. and inside there are multiple rooms and each room has multiple games. some of the games we enjoyed were the basketball shooting game, asteroid where you throw balls at approaching asteroids and laser in which you have to move from one side to the other side of the room avoiding the lasers. this place is nice and clean, and the staff is friendly and attentive. highly recommend

1st time here. Me and my husband had a great time being big kids. There's about 10 room offering 5+ different games but if you get there when there's a crowd there can be a wait but the games are all pretty short. Wish there was video instructions because sometimes you can Easter half your game trying to figure out what you're supposed to be doing. If you have old legs like me be prepared to be out of breath on some of these games requiring you to run around the room lol

If you're looking for a fun interactive gaming spot for all ages definitely come to activate games. My friends and I heard rave reviews about this place on TikTok, so we made sure we stop by before we left Houston. When we walked in, the staff was extremely nice and helpful as they explained the games and the rules to us. You're given wristbands that monitor your scoreboard and how much time you have left based on the package you purchased. Each room has a different style of games that gets you up and active to where you will stay busy for hours lol. I love the different array of gaming styles that you can do in each room and it is fun for everyone. I cannot wait for their South Florida location to open up.

If it's your first time, Come a few min early to check in and sign your waiver. They give you armbands that keep track of your points. They also have lockers available. This is my second time here and this time all the rooms were available and working. Super fun place for all ages. You can play games as a team or competitive games. HIDE room definitely is a workout! My favorite rooms were HOOPS and CONTROL rooms.

This place was soooo much fun!! I loved that some games gave you the option to compete instead of working together. I love a good competition! Definitely a place worth going back to over and over again.

Took my God kids out for a fun game night. When you enter you are able to get a locker for your belongings. Once you create your account you make a username or can choose from the computer generated options. If it's your first time the staff takes you through a tutorial so you can see how everything works including "how to" play games etc. The staff was very helpful and friendly suggesting to use the restroom prior to starting your game play time. Each games is about 1-3mins. Which is great to minimize wait time. The games are truly active so you will get a workout! The break in between isn't so bad as far as wait time. However we did go on a Monday so weekends maybe longer. The only issue we had was the AC seemed to be non existent. With Texas heat and moving around constantly it was very hot and we were all sweating a lot. They give you a keychain at the end to keep up with your profile and you can get a 10% discount if you come back within 30 days. CHECK THEM OUT!!

Plenty of free parking available outside

Activate was a surprisingly fun way to beat the Houston heat on a Saturday afternoon. My friends and I made reservations online ahead of time, and upon entering we signed a waiver, got a wristband for game entry, and placed our belongings in a locker. We had 75 minutes of play, and it was just the right amount of time. The various games were very fun and some required more physical activity. My personal favorite was the Maze room. At the end of our time, we checked our final score to see if we earned enough to win a prize. I didn't really know what to expect, but it was so much fun that I can't wait to go back.

100% recommend!! This place is fun!! Only complaint!!! Get more AC the airflow is terrible and it gets miserable HOT. Dripping in seat is NOT FUN. That's a small problem to fix that would have a massive upside! Staff is great. Games are fun and awesome. You can go back 100 time and still have fun and have great challenging games with a fun and different experience every time.

Twas a first time coming to this spot and it was a great fun place to be with friends and great work out/physical work is guaranteed!!! It's a bit pricy but definitely worth for the experience!! :) Weekends nights are busier but fun time for sure! :) Recommended!

In addition to the super fun go kart racing track, there are plenty of arcade games, some of which are VR, laser tag, and even great food! Think of it as a brighter and better maintained Dave and Busters. It can be a bit pricey but worth the cost in my opinion. Parking is ample so no issues there, and it's in the heart of Katy Asia Town so tons of good food options either walking distance or just a short drive away. The staff were pretty knowledgeable and nice too. Go check it out! It's actually a pretty good date option too. I've been on several there and the wife loves it every time.

Lots of arcade game options, almost everything in working order and clean. The kids enjoyed themselves which was the goal. The bad: The mini track was LAME, for a kid that's never driven before it would be adequate, but our 5 year old drives well (he has a kart of his own at home) he easily could have handled the beginner track and kart. The arcade was over priced for a weekday, and there were no attendants to be found for help with game malfunctions or to get prizes. If we ever make it back to Texas we might make a return visit.

Pros: - Making reservations was easy and the staff was really helpful, patient, and knowledgeable. I asked a lot of questions because I've never booked a birthday party like this at Main Event, or anywhere in general. - We got a party host to help transition and communicate with us throughout the 3 hours we were there. This helped because she kept us up to date about our rooms. She even carried our cakes, party favors, and gifts to our room while we were bowling. - She was also very sweet, patient, and kind. She never had an annoyed or frustrated look on her face. She did things with a smile the entire time! - Probably because we had a large party, but we had our meal in a private room, instead of one of those long tables. This made it more intimate, spacious, relaxing, and quiet. It also helped keep the kids together because there were 20 of them! - The sliders, fries, and fruit (we had orange slices) is the biggest bang for your buck in my opinion. The fries were amazing! They were the perfectly salted and crispy. The sliders were a tad dry and really needed condiments. However, I was glad that they had another option besides pizza. - During cake time, our party host provided a lighter and even cut the cakes for us. - We were provided lockers to store the gifts so we didn't have to carry it around during the arcade time. - The three hours of activities and food combination was the perfect amount of time. The 500 VIP points was also helpful so my boys could grab something from the store to make their birthday a little more special. My boys and their friends had a LOT of fun! Cons: - We only had one party host to accommodate 30+ people, so you can imagine how slow service was at times. She did the best she could, but I think having another person would have helped. We had unlimited drinks, so she was constantly getting our drink orders. I was so thirsty at one point, but felt so bad for her that I didn't even ask for water. - We had 1 hour of bowling before we headed to the private room for food. I think it would have been easier and better if it was fully supplied. There were no napkins, utensils, or condiments. The pizza was already there and we were just waiting on the sliders, fries, and fruit. Once the first set of sliders and fries came, we started to serve with our hands and used plates as tongs to grab the fries. It wasn't until several minutes later when the second set of sliders/fries came that tongs arrived. - Also, the party package said that there would be condiments on the side, but nothing was provided. We had to ask for ketchup twice before it came. I think to make things easier, the party host should have been provided a rolling cart to carry multiple things so she didn't have to keep running back and forth. Also, Main Event should really consider providing pitchers of water/drinks so we can serve ourselves. It would have been a lot faster and more efficient. - The math wasn't mathing when it came to the sliders. I paid for 18 kids, but we got 32 sliders. So either we got extra sliders, or we were missing 4 sliders. In the end it didn't matter because the amount of food was enough. - We are not allowed to bring outside food so we HAD to purchase extra food for the parents. We got three pizzas and it was so expensive! It was basically $60. - I did not anticipate having to pay for service fees/tip. I wasn't angry about tipping my party host. I think she did the best she could and deserved a tip. I was just surprised about the service fee and felt put on the spot about tipping. Like I said, I've never done this before. Basically it made everything about $100 more expensive. *The cons are mainly because of the price and hiccups we had during our time of eating.* Overall, the place is super expensive. $17.99 a kid is not bad in general because it includes 1 hour of activity, food, and $10 play card. However, it does add up quickly when hosting for a birthday party. I think it would be more reasonable if the price went down if you have more than 10 kids or something. What makes it incredibly expensive in the end is the service fee, tip, and having to pay for extra food. I think for the price you pay, the service could be a lot better and more organized. This is speaking in general, and nothing against our party host specifically. The place was PACKED when we went. However, since the place is gigantic, it wasn't that crowded when you walked around, which was nice. If anything, it added to the fun and festivities. In the end, my boys had a great time and so did their friends. I didn't have to clean or cook, so that took away a great deal of stress as a mom. Would I ever do this again? Probably not, unless there was an amazing deal going on.

The servers were very friendly and the food was good. There are definitely other places that offer the same experience for a cheaper price.

We ended up stuck behind a large 6‑year‑old's birthday party, even though the course itself only had about four people actually playing. Instead of letting us play through or staggering groups, they just had us stand around waiting with no explanation. When we started to play golf, they handed us gaming cards for the arcade, which was very confusing why didn't they give it to us in the beginning so we had something to do, but we didn't come for the arcade, and we weren't doing anything--they just didn't manage the flow well at all. A few positives: the bathrooms were clean, and the place itself is visually fun. But be aware there's no real food available--just tiny bags of chips--and no alcohol.
