Tilt Studio in Katy is such a great spot for a fun day out. The variety of games and attractions keeps everyone entertained!

I had my 14th Birthday party there. Lots of cool games and prizes. Had fun at the laser tag and that one ride. All around just a 10/10.

Best thing is it's accessibility, being located inside the mall. I can do all the shopping bribing my lil kid that he can play and have fun here after shopping. Not the cleanest or the best place but works well for our purpose. Not too crowded, so my kid can play whatever he wants to. Even if one particular game A is occupied, we can try something else and when we come back, game A would be available. Easy to load their play card. Never really tried their food, prefer eating outside. We hv almost always done self service or we dint really have to interact with any staff members. However, I do see few staff members out there keeping an eye out, if anyone needs any assistance. read more

Games are way overpriced and Claw machines are not strong enough to grab anything. Would not recommend wasting funds here.

Place is Basura! Half the games don't even work. I like nostalgia games like anybody else. But if you gon have them, make sure they work.

Make sure you wipe down your equipment and gaming areas. Not the cleanest arcade, but it's ok. We went yesterday, and a lot of the games were unavailable. They need to hire adults and not teenagers to run their establishment. I had an issue with a claw game, and the manager was looking at me like I was being unethical when I told him the game stole two of my swipes. Blah! When you are working in the hospitality industry, you have to have a little bit of personality. They was a young man there yesterday with a black shirt on, black glasses- that was just so dull and nonchalant. They need to spend some with the cleanliness and upkeep of their facility. read more

Kids become amazed just looking at this place, as a parent, I consider it a good place to hang/wait, no too loud, clean, friendly and attentive staff, (took care of my glitching cards with no fuss or eye-rolling), I requested info for the party package and the staff kindly look for it in both cashier stations, no hot food was available other than pretzels and drinks, fair enough for us. Mini/golf, laser tag, mini-bowling, little kid rides, plenty of video games and ticket games. Fairly priced. read more

Took our daughter here for her 6th birthday, but will never be back. At least 1/3 of the machines are decommissioned or have broken pieces. For example, one gun in the Jurassic park game did not work, the left arrow on the DDR game didn't work, the large claw with the big ticket bags did not work, and the left button on the Mario game did not work, and had a base held up by cardboard which was bowing and about to snap. Golfing was closed, the ride was closed, etc. Overall a huge waste of money and time. Staff (two younger men) were moderately present but acted irritated when we came to the counter to use our tickets. 0/10, do not waste your time or money. read more

Your kids will run through $20 game cards in minutes. And everyone will be frustrated because the skill games are near impossible to win. The tickets games are ok but there's nothing great to buy with your hard earned tickets. Waste of time and money. On the bright side the staff was super friendly and helpful. I think they would agree not enough prize selections for tickets. read more

The claw machines in this arcade are garbage. Anything that has good prizes have a broken machine, need cash, or are only for a birthday event. I blew $20 in under 30minues and all I caught was a pacman plush on my first try because it was a literal easy to catch ball shape, and that was AFTER I pretty much spent $16 on nothing. Most toys are too heavy and/or crammed in a dead zone/under more toys. You would think a few mini tigers and lions would be easy to catch but no, the claw wouldn't even lift a single limb of the toy. If you need a good example I was trying to catch a lion king toy. A small lioness laying on her back in a pile of tigers. I had a good claw grab on her entire body and when the claw went up all she did was clap her paws together, the body didn't even go up at all. These claws are rigged or have a poor payout. Probably never coming to this arcade again. read more

Avoid this place. My son is on the autism spectrum and one of the staff members called him an insulting name. He later came by and tried to change his wording and say he didn't mean what he originally said. I told him that it was demeaning and he never apologized or showed any remorse. I spoke with a woman from management and she seemed uninterested and took my information and told me someone would get back to me. It was my sons birthday. No one ever contacted me and regardless, we will never go back. The place is also filthy and 75% of the machines don't work. read more

This place was a huge disappointment for me and my family. We are from Maryland and were just visiting my grandmother, so we wanted to find an arcade place that we were not familiar with. Unfortunately, it ended up being mostly a waste of money. The Skee-Ball used our points but never gave us our balls; the arcade bowling game was so unresponsive that we couldn't score any points; the Deal-Or-No-Deal had a giant dead spot on the screen... I could go on but it's unnecessary. The place looks cool from the outside but it really needs to be better maintained. The sole reason I'm giving it two stars is because me and my siblings played laser tag and it was really fun. It was relatively cheap and it was definitely the highlight of our time there. I should also mention that they sell an "Arcade" card that lets you play unlimited "arcade" games for an hour. Unfortunately, the selection is pretty small: it is mostly just shooting games, racing games, and air hockey. I don't think I could've spent an hour on what was included in that package. read more

Expensive is its middle name. Broken games should be its first. It's guaranteed that there will be several games broken here and expect to not find an employee when needed only to run to the other side to the counter to wait for one. Unfortunately, you can't just bust a fist into the coin machine to make stuck quarters go through or fish out stuck ones and continue on. Apparently, Tilt hates the 80s and 90s and decides to confuse customers with a point system and cheat you with them. It's not worth it unless you need a break as a parent and want to sit to let those feet of yours rest after walking two miles around the mall, being asked a million times if you could please show someone at a kiosk your hands or being asked, "Can I ask you a question?" Nope and no you can't ask me a question after you've asked a question already. I usually find myself at the mini bowling lane so my kids and do their thing and I can sit and cheer them on. Even those break and did the last time I went. As soon as a ball would get halfway down the lane, the pins would suddenly raise up. This happened over and over a few times until I searched 10 minutes for help. A young employee came over after I told her what happened. "They go up to reset". No duh. "Yes, I know but when we roll one ball, all the pins go up before they can be hit". So then she says, "They do that after being hit. ". Okay little one. I'm not a moron. I may be old enough to be your mom but I'm not stupid. I still wear hoodies because I'm hip. Britney Spears was during MY teenage years and people still love her. I've played bowling since I was 2 years old. I kinda get how the game works. She ends up walking down the lane, having to fix it because only two lanes were working. Of those two lanes, only one was playing correctly and the others were turned off. Even the broken one's monitor was off. She fixed it and another family came to play. We were done finally and moved onto some games. They took my points and I went off to get them back. No employees around for a while. Mind you, this was during a week day with only a few people around and employees were just walking around when I didn't need one. I gave up. Another machine didn't work and then another and another. We went back to bowling. The games are pretty dirty. Windex and bleach goes a long way. read more

This arcade is small, but a good size for a mall. My wife and I found a deal on Groupon for Tilt. We got unlimited arcade games, putt putt, token for the games, and 2 small pizzas with drinks for only $30. We went during the week and we were one of the only ones there. It was an awesome date and a great deal! We've been waiting for another Groupon, so we can go back. read more

It's not bad for a remodel. Tilt took over FYE in Katy mills mall and expanded into where FYE used to be. They now have lazer tag along with a ride that spins for young children. They also have mini golf along with a small area for parties and mini bowling. Spread out through the entire area are arcade machines and claw machines. What I am reviewing are the arcade, claw machines and ticket games. The arcade machines are old and games that are out of date. I believe the newest game they have in Tilt is Tekken 5 and house of the dead 4. The last fighting game I played all had broken button so I avoid them whenever I can. They do have ticket games and can be redeemed for prizes. The payout is not good compared to Dave and Busters but at least the prizes are priced accordingly. For 500 tickets, you can get a nice sized hello kitty, pokemon or a mid sized plush. Their claw machines are rigged except for a select few. Prizes include angry birds, basketballs, pillow pets and other unknown stuffed animals. However, they have quite a bit of these machines so if you want to come just to try to win a stuffed animal, it is not that bad. Overall, it's not a place where you can spend a lot of time since the arcade is limited. After winning all the stuffed animals you can, there is not that much to do. Be sure to plan to go to the movies, shop and stop here for a small amount of fun but don't plan to stay here and expect to have "hours of fun" read more

This place is just okay. To me the prices are too high for what you get. Some of the games weren't working properly. They do have a couple rides and a mini bowling alley. My kids enjoyed it of course. To me the best thing about this place is that they have a 4 way air hockey table which is my families favorite game so we all got to play together. read more

Did anyone know that Tilt Studios does not allow walk-in birthday parties? We did it know until we showed up with birthday cake and present and just the 5 of us. We were there to celebrate my son's 12th birthday because he decided he wanted to go to Tilt. My family of 4 were at TILT in Katy after watching an AMC movie onSaturday, June 5, 2021 at the TILT studios gaming/arcade at Katy Mills Mall in Katy, Texas. My 17 yr old son played a STACKER game and his dad and younger brother watched him for almost an hour when we it looked like he had won. There is video/cameras of this win and Richard who is the manager or staff on duty that I spoke to did not have access to this video. He stated that only the General Manager has access. Richard also stated that the machine did not shut down and my son had to have two rows on this STACKER game to win at the top of the machine. I did not know what that meant so I asked if the machine malfunctioned and Richard stated that he didn't know but the machine would do the same thing and shutdown. Those comments didn't make any sense to me either. My son played this game for almost 45 minutes and knows he won the $150 Gamestop giftcard on the STACKER GAME. He has played similar games at Dave & Busters and other entertainment venues. I did get a response but the marketing person who stated that based on their investigation that my son didn't win. As a MOM when I see the machine light up and my son was excited, then it seemed like my son won the major prize. As a family we will stick with Main Event and Dave & Busters. read more

This place has a good location and great ideas it just sucks that I have tried to bring the kids here twice during the weekdays for the specials they have and I was let down both times. Thursday they advertise half price arcade games and also have a $15 play pass for all attractions and arcade games 4 hours of unlimited play. Sounds like a win for the kiddos right? Well when you realize that they don't have many game options that they can play and more than half of the attractions are closed or not working it makes no sense to give you my $15 per child. I feel management needs to do better if you expect customers to enjoy and come back. read more

EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS! While shopping at Katy Mills Mall one afternoon, our daughter said she would like to have her birthday party at Tilt Studio, so my husband and I took a quick tour to make sure the games and attractions were age appropriate and they were. We were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and organization of the facility. During this visit, we also had an opportunity to meet a few of the employees. They were very courteous and answered all of our questions. The next day, we made the birthday party reservations over the phone with Vicky, the general manger. Vicky assured us that her staff would take care of everything. All we needed to do was make a deposit, pick the colors, print the free invitations from their website, and then show up. (She was right!) We decided to purchase the Ultimate Party package for 10 guests and it was a great value. I won't give away any of the "extra" special surprises they provided, but I will say that the children and all of us parents were WOWED several times during the two hour party. The room was beautifully decorated (purple and white - our daughter's choice of colors) with a "Happy Birthday" banner, balloons, table cloths, plates, cups, and napkins. Kanedra, our party host, was outstanding in her ability to communicate with the 5 year olds and with the adults. She swiftly moved the children from one activity and attraction to another, while maintaining order and while keeping their attention. The children were never separated and never bored. Tilt Studio also provided each guest with adorable party favor bags filled with toys and activity sheets/coloring pages. I highly recommend Tilt Studio Katy Mills for your child's party (Recommended ages: 5 years and older). read more

RIP OFF STUDIO! 80% of the games are claw and they are so rigged it's embarrassing! Bowling didn't work, ride wasn't working, it should be shut down! The last time we went, it was with our grandchildren, and what I saw shocked me. Our granddaughter decided to try one of the claw games, when the claw came down, it didn't even close! Then she went to the workers there, when she showed her the problem, the worker said "sorry, I guess that's just how it's made" And just walked away! In other arcades, they would at least gave us some tickets or something! This one isn't even trying to maintain customer satisfaction! Don't expect me to come there again! read more

Please take this arcade out of its misery. It needs a complete overhaul. Over 70% of the games doesn't work or isn't working properly. If you do ever decide to come here please pay attention to your card. The games scans says card read in error but yet it still takes the points from your card. This summer has been a busy one with the kids. I had to find things to keep them busy on days they were not at camp. One day while at the Katy Mills Mall, we came across, Tilt. This is a great arcade to spend some hours. The games are clean and new. There is also an indoor ride that my kids enjoyed. The staff is friendly and it is clean. We enjoyed the in door miniature golf area. It is an inexpensive way to keep the kids entertained during a hot summer day. read more

We had an amazing time until it was time to redeem our tickets. We waited 30 minutes for customer service. The manager assisted one customer then she turned to us and said someone else would help us. That someone else came five minutes later, told us we would be next and assisted the family that had just arrived. The family told her we were there first and we told her we were next as well. She dismissed us and told the other family that they were next. My kids really wanted their price so we waited. Once we were finally helped, which only took one minute. We went straight to the manager to voice our concerns. The young lady(manager) just stared at us as she continue to clean a machine and did not even acknowledge us or apologize. We waited other times for customer service to redeem our tickets but never were we treated like this before. Awful customer service. read more
