we had no idea what this place was when we pulled into the parking lot we're just curious because of the colors of the building. My 8-year-old daughter and I went in. the waiting room alone was definitely something to see. even though the tickets were slightly expensive at the time they have gone down since then by half. we started to walk through the exhibit I was floored. the amount of time effort and energy and creativity the people that put this together did in this space is far from just saying its amazing! ITS FREAKING PHENOMENAL! Each exhibit is well thought out and they are all awesome photo ops. We had a blast! A year later I took my 17-year-old son. The price went down but also some of the exhibits were gone. I was informed that they were building something else in place of, but was disappointed because a couple of my favorite exhibits were now missing. the rain room was awesome, but it's gone now. I think they should bring it back because walking through a rainstorm and not getting a single drop of rain on you is mind blowing. The fact that I can bring both of my children with huge age gaps and interests and both of them found this place to be interesting,fun and unforgettable is really all that has to be said. read more

It was an enjoyable experience. Lots of opportunities to take really neat pictures and videos. However, it's definitely a one and done kind of place, particulxarly if you're not a parent. It took my friends and I approx. 45 mins., at most to walk through the entire place. And that's with us thoroughly exploring every nook and cranny. Kids will definitely have a blast here and will most likely spend more time playing with all the sensory effects but for my friends and I, we will most likely not visit again. 'm torn on this one. On one hand, the art is genuinely cool--it's like walking through a neon fever dream, and if you're looking for a new profile pic, you'll find 50 of them here. The "Acid Rain" room and the giant crochet structure were the highlights for me. The problem is the price tag. $35-$40 per person (plus tax and fees) is just outrageous for what ends up being a 45-minute walkthrough. It's definitely a "one and done" kind of place. I loved Seismique! I went with my friend to celebrate her kiddos birthday and boy did the kids have a blast in the bean bag and light rooms ....it was like a party in every room! They have soo many different rooms but my favorite was the 3d black and white and the outside spaceships! I can't wait to invite all my girls over for a nice outta this world brunch on a nice warm day. They also have a neon miniature golf which we didnt do because the kiddos were having too much fun playing the arcade games. They have a bar so me and my girl had to partake ...and the drinks were good! You could get them in a bag and walk Seismique and sip. I love love love the photo booth! I have an 8 yo who wanted to go to this place for their birthday. I was skeptical at first, because some of these "experiences" can be really hit or miss and sadly you don't know which it will be until after you spend close to $100 on tickets. Thankfully, this space lives up to the hype and the ticket price. I did pre-purchase tickets but even going on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend this was NOT necessary. I would actually NOT recommend pre-buying tickets (unless it's a special event/day at the space) because if you don't have the more expensive VIP tickets you have to arrive at a specific time. Now, we did arrive 15 min early than our scheduled time (as recommended) and it was NOT crowded so we had no issues BUT I don't know what would happen if you pre-buy tickets and then arrive late (apparently, they can deny you entry so that's why I wouldn't bother pre-buying). Anyways - the space itself was large and the "exhibits" or rooms were really cool. Most had interactive elements and the quality of the rooms was high (NOT Meow Wolf high but definitely better and more interactive than any of the "Instagram" spaces that tend to pop up and have similar ticket price points). The space also has the option to rent roller skates and skate around - we did end up doing this for an additional $15/pp. If you get the VIP tickets, roller skating comes included. Again, it was NOT busy when we went so plenty of room to skate and I think if we wanted to skate, then walk around, then skate again, this would have been fine. Not sure if that would be the case if it was busy but again, all of this is from the POV that it is NOT crowded. Overall, for $45 a person, it was a great time. My 8yo was highly entertained and we stayed for well over 2 hours. If you're looking for a fun indoor activity with kids or even as a friend/date night activity I do recommend checking this out. I don't think it's worth MULTIPLE visits so they will need to figure out how to change out rooms to get repeat customers but for a one and done experience it was a blast. read more

This was fun for kids and/or adults alone. The space was larger on the inside than I imagined. There are a good amount of trippy rooms with interesting visuals. They have a bar and outdoor park area at the end so you can hang around after if you'd like. Personally, I do feel like it is slightly overpriced for the experience . I think this place is completely overrated thanks to TikTok. Went with 12 kids different ages along with some adults. The place is very small- we were done looking at everything walking at a slow pace within 15-20mins, and that was including time chatting for a while and playing in a little net game that they have. There's really nothing shocking nor amazing- some things are interactive but even calling it interacting is a stretch- more like you can touch buttons and lift a telephone. The place is already run down and it shows. The pictures on here clearly make it seem a whole lot cooler than it is. Thankfully we did not spend the extra money for the mini golf- because after seeing it it was also super small, and nothing interesting enough to pay even more money than we had already wasted. The kids were offered to play it and they even decided not to. We absolutely wasted money and regretted not going elsewhere for entertainment, or even going to a super fancy lunch/dinner for all that we paid. Would not recommend. read more

My friends and I went on a Thursday night, and it literally was a ghost town. they're probably was about five people in total when we were there on a Thursday night. The bar, did not bother to get drinks because it was that dead. it was marketed and advertised as interactive, but there were actually few interactive pieces. The time it took for us to walk through all of the exhibits was about 30 to 45 minutes if that. However, my friend and I we did play the pool. The pool table is a dollar per game. lastly, the outside backyard area was closed so we did not have a chance to explore that. read more

I was excited to hear Houston having a place like ARTECHOUSE as it was one of my favorite places to go to down in DC. I guess with that being on that back of my mind, I ended up leaving disappointed. The exhibit itself was really short, we ended up finishing the whole thing in about 20 minutes. There wasn't much interactiveness going on either, but-- the room filled with light bulbs was my absolute favorite! There's a cafe inside for those that get hungry, I didn't go in so I can't say what they have or give my opinion. In addition to all the fun rooms to explore, there is also an outdoor sculpture park (the Parque), a roller skating rink (the Rinque) and a 21 and up bar (the Drinque). They also had a Halloween exhibit, but we decided to pass since we had the kids with us Tickets start at $28 for kids 3-12 and $35 for adults. Love the concept of this place! Super cool self guided interactive experience. It was clear this place has experienced a lot of love as some of the features in some rooms were out of order but didn't take away from the overall experience. I was kind of disappointed with the VR portion. There were some guests behind me in awe of what they were seeing but I was confused if either the connection was weak or the quality was just really poor. It almost felt like a Minecraft world. Very blocky and nothing compared to what you can really experience with VR. The roller rink was also not really what I expected so I'm glad I didn't splurge on the VIP tickets. Overall we had an awesome time and I would recommend to anyone who hasn't gone. read more

"All of the Lights, All of the Lights!" That was the song that played in my head while walking through this place. I had a Dad day with my 2 boys and I decided to bring them here. So let's get into it. Seismique is right off 6 hwy in a shopping mall (everything in Houston is in a shopping mall. Lol). Parking was easy. If you own a Tesla, there are a ton of Tesla chargers right against the entrance on Piping Rock Lane. That is convenient. As you walk in, it's visually appealing and unique. It has a sort of futuristic, galactic white and black decor. Check in was simple and I purchased my tickets online. Tickets are $30 per child and $37 per adult. Our total was $105.01. In my opinion, that's expensive and you literally don't get anything for that cost except admission. You go to a screen and scan your QR code and then they give you wristbands. I don't see the point of wristbands except to maybe separate VIP from standard though after reading some reviews, the experience is basically the same. Readmission is not allowed. As we made our journey through, it is visually stunning. Tons of colors, sounds, animations and lights. There is supposedly an app but I couldn't find it. Realistically, you can probably get through the entire tour in about 45m to an hour. It is self-guided. There are a few things you can interact with but not much. A few exhibits scared my youngest toddler who is 3 so be mindful of it if you decide to bring toddlers. There are also lots of flashing lights as well. Most of it my kids did enjoy, however. There is a gift shop at the end of the tour that we didn't bother with. Speaking of the gift shop, there is an exhibit nearby it with 2 huge chairs (see attached picture). So the first obvious thing I thought of was to put my kids in the chairs and take a picture. Well, the gift shop cashier ran all the way away from his register to tell me that they can't sit in the chairs. That's fine and understandable, but I CAN'T be the only person with that idea. A simple sign would do but there wasn't one. If you're looking for IG worthy photos and you need to kill an hour with younger kids or just adults, this place will serve its purpose. Just understand you'll be paying a hefty cost for an experience that leaves more to be desired. read more

I paid like 70 for myself and my sister Absolutely NO readmission so get it right the first time. I'm super disappointed the outside exhibit wasn't open because it looked super cool but the inside was NICE! It was IG worthy. I'd suggest to go wearing white or black because there are a LOT of colored lights and black lights so it'll make your clothes and ACCESSORIES look even COOLER in the light! I feel like they need more interactive parts but the music and different rooms are SO COOL! There are even cool lights in the bathroom! Definitely family friendly but you don't have to bring kids.
