Sei pizza bar has been on my list of places to try for the past few years. We were finally able to secure reservations on a Thursday night for dinner. We were also fortunate to have found street parking less than a block away which nice. Waited less than 10 mins for our table to be ready as we had a party of 4. Started the meal off with the burrata and a caesar salad. The burrata was perfect and paired well with the toasted bread slices. We all thought the caesar salad was just ok as they tossed it with quite a bit of salad dressing and made it pretty salty. As for the pizzas, we ordered the Sei margherita, funghi and bismarck. Of the 3, we all thought the Sei margherita was the best. My wife is a huge mushroom fan and thought the funghi didn't have much flavor though there was a ton of shaved mushrooms on top. The bismarck was the one that we all thought was just ok. I thought the pizza dough lacked a bit of flavor but it did have a nice bite to it. Having been able to try quite a few pizzerias in Tokyo, I think we prefer them out there. Not saying Sei isn't good, it just doesn't compare. Needless to say, we had quite a few slices to pack but am glad I succumbed to the pressure and ordered their tiramisu as it was hella tasty! Would head back if in the area and if we could secure reservations. Service was attentive and am glad the server pushed me to order the tiramisu!

had high hopes as this place is super hyped. I came during their transition phase and ordered take out for their bianca pizza. I was easily able to find street parking out front and pick up my pizza immediately. I found the pizza to be slightly burnt and too salty. I found this place to be overhyped and probably wouldnt come back given the difficult parking.

I understand the hype. Sei Pizza is fantastic. The bread is satisfyingly doughy, fresh, light, and airy. The ingredients are clean, refreshing, and intentional. The za itself is as delicious as you'll find anywhere here in the United States. I ordered for pickup and drove 25 minutes before diving in. And the pizza still tasted like it was fresh out of the oven. Get the mala lamb pizza. That was my favorite. So distinct, savory, fresh, and satisfying. I'd recommend that to anyone who's looking for a slightly heartier option. Sei Pizza must be at the top of any pizza lover's list.

Second best pizza place in US so had to make a stop while in SoCal and glad we were able to snag a reservation ! Ample amount of seating and we loved the bar seating were you are able to see the whole process of the friendly staff making /baking the pizza ! We order 2 pizza both were enjoyed, while the margharita was a little too wet due topping/sauce ! Their crust is light, fluffy and a nice chew/crisp with a abundant of topping ! Sure the price was a bit in the high side compared to other neapolitan pizza place but worth a stop for pizza enthusiast!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Small venue but with blasting flavors.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And the crust...OMG is what sets them apart from the others. Without a single doubt. This has to be the best pizza place in town. Each pie is made in high heat oven bake. Thin crust pizza with a fluffy and airy crust that exudes a soft, warm, slightly Smokey aroma with each bite. Toppings can vary depending on the day, but I normally like to mix both a tomato based sauce and white sauce pie. So therefore always a group venture. Diavola was a show stopper. A tomato based sauce with Fior di latte cheese and perfectly crisp pepperoni. Not gonna lie, I ate 3/4 of the pie on my own. Bianca was a white sauce with Fior di Latte and uniquely a lemon preserve. Pretty distinct citrus flavor so not sure how many of you will relate to it. Very unique flavoring. Had 2 slices but not a pie you can eat alone in my opinion. Make sure you're with a partner or group. Overall loved their pies and looking forward to trying the Napoletana and Fungi.

10/10 would go again! We dined in and kitchen was slammed at 5pm for one pizza. No frills location, very busy with a few tables and mostly bar seating. Everyone was extremely friendly and apologetic about the wait. I hear there's a sit down location opening next week! Very worth it though, the margarita special was sooooo good. I prefer the crust a little burnt, so it was perfect, but My husband said it was a little too dark for him. The tiramisu was very fresh and delicious, I felt there was too much mascarpone and the espresso could be stronger.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Small shop. Limited seatings.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They got some pretty interesting pizza that you can't find elsewhere. We got whatever was recommended to us-their signature pizza and the meat platter. It was decent but to say it's the best pizza...that's more on preference. The dough is thin. I wouldn't recommend the meat platter since it's nothing unique.

I want to preface the review that I didn't get to dine in this time but ended up taking my pies to go. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a smaller location so it can get packed but to avoid the crowds you can just take it to go.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ended up trying both a white/red sauce pizza (margherita and funghi). I will say they aren't the cheapest pies around at ~$26 each for a 12 inch pie but the ingredients are really fresh. Even to go, the pie held up pretty well and the crust didn't get soggy. They don't skimp on the toppings either so I did feel satisfied eating the two pies. I enjoyed both and i'm a mushroom gal so thought the funghi would be my favorite but I was pleasantly surprised by the margherita with bufala. Yum! Their menu is simple and there aren't a lot of options for other menu items like appetizers and desserts, but they have a good option of sides you can order.

Wait was estimated to be an hour but was only 30 minutes so try to stay in the surrounding area. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We got lucky with parking, place is small but cozy![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Started with oil dipped toasts and fresh burata, amazing start. Pizzas came out soon and were absolutely delicious. Pitate was delicious with waves of garlic, potatoes, cheese and cream, oh man was it good. The margarita balanced the rich flavors. We definitely didn't need to order both pizzas but are so glad we did. Their crusts alone are delicious and service by staff was excellent. Will definitely go back and get more pizza!

This is my 3rd time here and one of my absolute favorite pizza spots. There's a reason they rank top 2 in the USA... it's honestly well deserved!! The place is small so if you want to do a walk in be prepared to wait, but the wait is honestly so random. One time I got in 25 minutes later and next time 45 minutes. First time, I got takeout and was honestly disappointed. The pizza got cold during the 12 minute walk back to my apartment and it just didn't hit the same because it wasn't fresh. Second time, we did a walk-in on a Sunday and somehow got really lucky. Waited about 20 minutes at a nearby coffee shop because of cancellations. We got the Margherita special and Ruti's pizza, and both were out of this world. Especially the Margherita special... this is hands down my favorite pizza i've tried in LA. I tend to gravitate toward classic flavors and they did everything right with this one. The crust alone... probably the best Neapolitan dough I've had in my life. It's pillowy, soft, slightly chewy, and just has that perfect structure. Only thing to note is their pizzas are VERY floppy. Like... really floppy. So if that's not your thing, you might not love it as much. Ruti's pizza is a white base with soppressata, fresh arugula, and hot honey. The sweet and spicy combo worked really well, super balanced and not overwhelming. We also got the tricolor salad which was a great starter. Very fresh, bright, and tangy from the lemon dressing. It cuts through the heaviness of the pizza perfectly. Third time, we did another walk-in on a Saturday around 2:30 PM and got seated within 30 minutes. At this point I'm convinced I just have good luck with the wait times!! We ordered the mala lamb sausage, diavola, bianca, and tiramisu. My favorite this time was the bianca. It was lighter and acted as a really nice palate cleanser between the heavier pizzas. You can actually taste the lemon in it, which surprisingly I loved on pizza. Only thing is you have to eat it fast because once it cools down, the cheese solidifies pretty quickly. The mala lamb sausage is definitely a crowd favorite, but not my personal favorite.... It leans heavier and the lamb flavor comes through pretty strong. If you like bold flavors you'll probably love it, but I personally prefer something more classic and clean like the margherita or the bianca. The diavola was solid. The soppressata brought the right amount of spice and everything felt really balanced. And the tiramisu... I will always get this if I have room for dessert. It's a good portion size!! The three of us shared it after already eating three pizzas (and still had 3 slices leftover) and we were completely stuffed. I would come back again for the Margherita special and the tiramisu alone.

I liked it. Finally got around to trying this place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Small interior inside with limited seating. Wouldn't go with more than 2 people. Probably better as a to go option.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The pizzas are good though. We got the mala lamb sausage and patate. Loved the flavor of the lamb sausage. And I loved getting a bite of the potato and ricotta cheese. The middle of the pizza is quite soggy though. You can't really hold a slice with one hand even if you fold it. So you'll need a fork. Would definitely come back to try more. Service was good. Friendly staff. We went on a Friday night and there was a 30min wait, which wasn't too bad since there's a bar right next to it. Street meter parking up and down the block.

Believe you need reservations but we were fortunate enough to be seated right away.Service was efficient and people who did take out were told to order pizza to go and they needed 45 min.[[HIGHLIGHT]]Quite small but they can seat 2 or 4 people to a table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]Next time need to try the margarita pizza and the davines.Cant wait.

    Margarita with added prosciutto cotto

I don't understand how Sei Pizza was rated the #2 pizza place in the country. I was really excited to try it because I love a good pizza. But it was disappointing all around. I ordered online around noon for a 6:30 pickup (earlier was not available). When I arrived right at 6:30 I was told they were behind and it would be another 15 minutes. Given there's nowhere to park and wait to pick up, we drove around for 15 minutes. Fifteen minutes later it was ready. By the time we got back with the pizza the oil had leaked through the box onto my pants which was a mess to clean up. We had ordered the funghi pizza and the margarita with added prosciutto cotto. Both were very soggy. The funghi pizza was very salty, and both had burnt edges on the crust which I guess is their thing but doesn't taste good. The quality of the individual ingredients seemed very good but the execution of turning them into a pizza was lacking. Overall it was a disappointment.

So far my favorite Neapolitan pizza place in LA. You can't miss with the margherita and the SEI Margherita with burrata. Such a treat.

I'd suggest looking for street parking along 3rd St. if you can. There's also a parking structure nearby. The first time we came, we ordered a whole pie, half supreme and half BBQ chicken. It also came with ranch that tasted freshly made. The supreme was great. You could taste a little bit of spice from the sausage, and all the other toppings worked really well together. I also really liked the crust. It had a nice crunch to it without being too hard. Came back for a second time and got another whole pie, this time half supreme and half white. The white pizza was good. It had fresh mozzarella, garlic, and seasoning on top, and the crust was just as good as I remembered. I think adding something like mushrooms would make it even better. It is pretty cheesy though, so I could see more than one slice being a little too much for some people. The supreme was just as good as the first time. I'd definitely keep coming back. I think next time I'm going to try one of their square pizzas.

My friend and I dropped by around 2 pm and it was bustling. They have a number of pizzas available by the slice in the display, so it was super easy to pick a couple slices and eat quickly before heading out. Most of the pizzas available by slice were vegetarian, with only a handful of meat options. I wish they had the meat lovers available by slice. All slices were in the $5-6 range. We got: -Sicilian -Grandma -BBQ chicken -Spicy pepperoni I wasn't expecting much, but surprisingly I really enjoyed the pizza here. The crust was nice and crispy for all the slices. My favorites were the bbq chicken and the Sicilian (because of the pesto), but they were all solid. My only complaint is that it was a hot day out, and I wish the inside of the restaurant was cooler.

The pizza here is so killer, I was nodding my head(Yes!)as I was eating it. I rarely do this. The crust was so thin, the cheese had great flavor, and the cupped pepperoni added a salty richness. The…read moresicilian was not cut properly - the top was cut through the pizza but not at all through the crust. The sicilian was also strangely salty as far as the sauce and I don't know why. The regular cheese pie I got, which I assume has the same sauce on it, did not taste salty or odd like the sicilian. Their Monday deal of a XL cheese pie for $15 is a great deal. Now the few not so good things this second time. There is no parking. They have a small alleyway with maybe 6-8 parking spots on the side of the pizzeria. Considering the place was pretty empty when I came midday but the lot was full, I have to assume staff take the spots. No street parking. You're supposed to be able to pull out of the alleyway by going forward and turning into another alleyway that crosses the parking alleyway. Unfortunately, there was a motorcycle someone was working on or just left there so you could not get past the bike and the car parked in the last spot. I had to back out onto the busy main street, which was dangerous. Also annoying is that the menu has zero prices, and it's not like the girl at the counter knows the prices. She had to punch in whatever I asked the price to on her tab in order to give me a price. When I asked how much for toppings added, she couldn't give me a concrete answer. Even more frustrating is that the prices on your bill will not match what you were quoted. I think what they quote is the price plus tax, and then the bill has the real prices and all the tax bundled together at the bottom, so it's near impossible to figure out the cost of each item. Who doesn't have a menu with prices?! I do not like this!
