popped in after my mom randomly found an old certificate from 2009 to redeem a one pound box of chocolate from see's. i wasn't confident if they would still honor it, considering it's been nearly 20 years, but lucky for me, they did! emily was very kind in helping me put together an assortment for a custom box, providing recommendations and strategies to help maximize my box's worth. in the end, it was just over a pound and i only needed to pay 89 cents to cover the leftover weight! i tried a bunch of the seasonal/limited time flavors, like the white chocolate peppermint, and they were delicious. i can't say i'm usually much of a chocolate person, but i will be taking my time going through this box because each morsel is divine! read more

I went in for our annual valentine's box (a little late) and I was greeted warmly and given a sample but that's where the good customer service ended. Jaqua, the assistant manager was not warm or friendly. She seemed like she was aggravated by my presence. She rushed me along and answered my questions curly. I came in to get a box of chocolates for the lady surgeon that did a wonderful job putting my hand back together. I was greeted by a male employee as I entered. He offered me a sample which was delicious. I went with the box with soft centers. At the register I was asked if the chocolates was for a special occasion. I said it was a thank you for my surgeon. They switched the sleeve on the box with a medical theme sleeve. I thought that was really nice. Everyone here was excellent. This is a nice store. read more

Y'all, if you know me, you know that the one sweet treat I can't resist is See's Candies. My location of choice is usually the one in the South Coast Plaza (great spot to stop during a mall walk), but I got a gift card and decided to spread the love a bit and try out a new location. I'm so glad I did because this spot is excellent. Located in the Tustin Marketplace, there is plenty of parking and the space itself is quite large. We came on a Friday night and were immediately greeted by a friendly staff members who offered us our choice of chocolate samples (white, dark, or milk). We went perusing for a few boxes of lollipops and chocolates and then approached the candy counter. So many options here! We ended up getting a small bag in addition to the boxes of goodies we had selected in the store. The cashier was super patient as we figured out how to redeem the e-gift card (unfortunately she had to enter in each number of the pin there was no way to scan it). She also gave us punch card. If you spend more than $40 a month for at least three months, you get a $20 gift card. That's the kind of girl math that just makes sense to me! After cashing out, the cashier gave us TWO samples of their bridge mix. She was so sweet! I had actually never tried it before and am totally converted to the bridge mix now (don't knock it til you try it). It's a great variety and our sample came with lots of molasses chips (one of my faves). I will definitely be back! read more

The location is prime as it has a large parking lot and is situated by Sprout's. I had to go here twice for last minute Christmas gifts and each time I've been there, the staff have been super helpful. I live for the free samples that they offer. My favorite thing to get here are the milk chocolate nuts and chews. I know, I know....everyone loves the dark chocolates but for whatever reason, dark chocolate tastes so bitter to me in comparison. What's great about See's is that the quality and taste never changes. The same delicious chocolates you had as a kid are still here. Ok, well I will digress and say there are a couple of things they've discontinued: Peanut Butter Lollipops and their filled pastel bon-bons. Thankfully the Butterscotch Squares are still here, which is officially described as: "A firm brown sugar, vanilla and heavy cream coated in smooth milk chocolate." My mom had the most unexpected experience at sees Tustin Market place , I have always had great service in all your stores. Today was special! I'm having surgery next week and my throat and esophagus will be swollen, so liquids only for a few weeks! So I wanted to get a scotch kiss, it's my late grandmother's favorite, and we were born on the same day. I was gonna walk over and but I have one foot in a boot , immobilized so I didn't wanna walk that far But my mom said oh no, you should have a treat because you won't get anything for a while so she walked over ! Absolutely love coming to this See's Candies location here in Tustin Marketplace. I got the opportunity to chat with their senior staff and let me tell you these 2 ladies crack me up. Every time I go here, I end up chatting with them for over 10 minutes. They tell me about the history of See's candies as well as give me samples to try their new flavors. I love coming here because you can customize your box. Whether it's for myself or as a gift it's a great way to select the pieces that you like! They have a new flavor Summertime Hazelnut (hazelnut chocolate soft center with English walnuts) and its quite tasty. I really their rum nougat and their cashew brittle. Pretty much here there is little chocolate that's disappointing. I recently tried their birthday cake candy in which chocolate and it was good too. I prefer dark or milk chocolate so will be sticking to those instead. They even have candy boxes wrappers for you to choose for any occasion : birthday, teachers, baby showers, etc. My favorite one right now is their scene of the golden gate bridge with space needle, palm trees, grand canyon, and statue of liberty. My favorite place to buy candy!! The employees are so friendly & knowledgeable about the products they're selling. We were also offered samples pretty quickly once we entered the store, which were SO delicious. That blueberry chocolate was to die for! I also love how clean & bright the establishment is, since I can easily see all the chocolates & candies that are available. Needed help this year with purchases. Went into the tustin location for both thanksgiving items and Christmas items. Michelle P met us inside and saw that I needed help. She took the items I had already picked out and took them to the counter for me...then the helped us with our other items -and she gave us a nice sample. She was also great with my children. We left the store and the kids talked about her all the way home. So...we will be back. Parking is super easy here. The store is large and the workers and management keep it stocked. Most of all...the service. The holidays - it's east to be frazzled and Michelle was more that kind and way above and beyond helpful. Wonderful customer service from Colette (and other staff)! The first thing when I entered the store, an associate walked up to me with a free sample (which they give to all customers) and asked if I needed help. I picked my own box of chocolate and Colette was very informative and gave great tips on what to get and what not to get if chocolate is traveling, etc. She even let me try chocolate that I've never tried before. As with all Sees, they will wrap boxes of chocolate for free! The chocolate (if you haven't tried it before): something for everybody! This is my family's favorite, because we are fans of chocolate with substance (nuts, caramels, etc) rather than the truffle fluffy center variety. That being said, they have a great variety of darks/milk/nuts/caramels/truffles. The chocolate and candy here is more of the "old fashioned" style and not super fancy like perhaps what you would find at Godiva (you're not going to find a "organically sourced. fair-trade, sea salt caramel expresso truffle butter chocolate" here). The best part is you can buy as little or as much as you'd like, of whatever kind you like (by piece), or if you are in a hurry or don't want to self-select they have pre-packaged 1lb and 2 lb boxes in different varieties (Nuts and Chew, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, assorted, etc). Pro Tips: you can request a specific sample if you're hankering to try something, they have mailers with coupons, if you go to costco you can buy gift cards at a discount read more

So after my terrible experience last Friday going into this See's to get Chelsea's and them being completely out of stock on a Friday morning at 11:30 with no one in the store I read the manager's response and decided to give him another chance so I went in on Saturday told the woman I would like a pound box of Chelsea's caramel patties and peanut clusters and I get home and they're not Chelsea's they're chocolate with chocolate no nuts no Chelsea's so apparently this place is passing off chocolate on chocolate as Chelsea's so beware if you're ordering Chelsea's you are not getting what you're paying for! 2 strikes See's!! read more
