Staff was friendly,welcoming- and helpful while ordering! Food was ok. I've had better tapas- both in Kansas and Barcelona I think! We got salmon, toast w/goat cheese- these were bother really good! We also got the: Cod fritters: were ok. We thought they were kind of dry and should've had a sauce or something Fried prawns: also just ok. Also dry, no accompanying sauce, which I think would've made it better The omelette potatoes: was kind of bland and very dry also I needed to end in a good note- so order garlic shrimp, which was better than some of the other things we ordered! Ambience cute- we sat outside; was perfect weather!

This is my first time coming back to Barcelona. This time with my kids. We walked from our Airbnb to La Rambla as a jump off point for finding food the first night in town. Similar to my last time here, I stumbled upon good food. The kids and I were looking for a completely different restaurant but our cell coverage is awful and we ended up at Sedna right at the edge of the Gotic Quarter. We are outside and I just asked the kids to pick the pictures they liked from the Tapas menu. We ordered the Ham Croquettes. They were only a hit with one of my three kids. I thought they were well done from what I remembered. We ordered the Garlic Shrimp. Those were gone in seconds and be careful they have a unexpected kick at the end. We ordered the Chorizo Sausages = exquisite and the kids loved them. We ordered one of my go to ... Patatas Bravas. These were smaller cut than I remember but just as tasty as other restaurants in the city. Finished dinner off with a Créma Catalana and three orange juices with vanilla ice creams for dessert . All in all a good first time for me and the kiddos.

The team at Sedna became our Barcelona family!

Everything about this restaurant is what you would hope to experience as part of your travels in Barcelona. The food is delicious, the atmosphere and people watching opportunities are fabulous, and the owner and his team go above and beyond to make your visit a great experience. We rented the apartment above Sedna and after two weeks, we felt they were our Barcelona family! Thanks so much!

The feta cheese was absolutely disgusting, it tasted like imitation rubber cheese. - The "Al Ajillo" Style Shrimps (GAMBES AMB ALLADA) had a very strange flavor within it, which overwhelmed the garlic flavors. - The Beef Tenderloin (FILET VEDELLA), she had to spit 1/4 of it out because it was too tough. - Everything was overpriced there for the value. If you are in the area DO NOT waste your time nor money dining here!!!

Thank goodness we had a reservation, otherwise the wait time for walk-ins was quoted to be 2-3 hours. We were seated at the counter, smack-dab in the middle of all the action. The drinks were just okay, but the tapas were great! We tried the anchovy dish, jamon, tomato toast, paella, padron peppers, spanish omelette, mussels, and finished with the crema catalana for dessert. All of the dishes were outstanding and they did not disappoint. Service was phenomenal and they were all very friendly and engaging with diners. They guided us on how many plates to order and stopped us from ordering too much, which I appreciate since we weren't sure how big each portion was. Would definitely come back if I had the chance!

Maybe in all of Spain. I could make a case for it to be THE BEST RESTURANT ON EARTH. (Except that title goes to Commanders Palace in New Orleans or Caviar Kaspia in Paris. But maybe not.) Great service. Great food. Great feeling place. Drawbacks? The neighborhood. The entrance to get in is AWFUL. The place is always too crowded and it can get very loud. It's about a 6 minute taxi ride from there. We were seated in the back room with the writing covering the walls. The front bar seemed a little livelier but we took what was offered. Husband had house red wine (3.50 euros) and I had sangria (4.50 euros). Good pours for both. We started with the red shrimp (gambillos) in a lemongrass sauce, about 6 shrimp for 15 euros. Then grilled octopus (which was very tender) over mash potatos and snap peas for 15 euros. We also had a side of grilled bread (4 pieces) for 3.5. We also ordered the Pepita beef with mash potato but took home for dinner as we were full (18 euros). We finished with the homemade corn ice cream with carmelized popcorn and raspberries, which was very unique at 6.5. We added our names to the wall to top off the meal. Service was quick and friendly.
