We were so pleased, we rented a second unit in October. Every time we go by the office, they are friendly and welcoming. I compared prices online and felt theirs were competitive, plus the facility was nearby the area where we anticipated buying a home. When we had trouble with one of the locks (turned out to be operator error LOL) they quickly and graciously replaced the lock. To top it all off, we won the recent gift basket and have been enjoying our goodies and gift certificate.

My belongings are safe and the facility is clean and well groomed during the snowy days, and for me, Marissa is the very best at her position and treats us customers like we are royalty! Bessie The U-Haul Truck Finds A New Home…read more SITREP Well, we picked up "Bessie" - our 20-FT U-Haul Truck in Glendale, CA - in the barrio to be precise. THE GLENDALE SETUP One reason I say that is that as soon as we got the truck ready to go, several Spanish-speaking gentlemen standing on the curb swarmed up to me asking us if we needed help loading up the truck full of furniture. And I don't blame them for trying to find a temporary job, and I wish them best. [As it turns out, we are DIY and didn't need their help.] But that sort of thing doesn't usually at U-Haul Truck centers up north. Not in Sacramento. Certainly not at this pristine Spokane location where we were returning Bessie. SPOKANE RETURN METRICS As it turns out, we already know we had gone a bit over the 1343 miles that we were allotted for this road trip from Glendale, CA to Spokane, WA. [I don't know who makes these calculations, but they always seem to short-change the customer, but that said, moving on....] I had already swept out the truck, and folded up all the blankets we used to cushion the furniture. The check-in process was quick & smooth and in less than 15 minutes with the walk-around the truck, we were on our way. I have called several times and the owner is always unavailable to check with according to the nice receptionist. We rented a large unit to put our RV trailer in, OOPS...there was not enough room to back the trailer in as the alley was too narrow. Yes, $300 and no refund, could not use the space. We went to outside storage, very small space, hard to get in, and they credited ahead but when we left 2 months early, too bad.. I rented a 10 foot wide storage unit to put my car in, oh the opening is only 8' wide, very hard to get my suburban in, only had 4 inches per side. Just be careful when you rent from this business.
