And they do not give you the $10 credit that they promise to give you for writing a review. I have completed 4 and still have got nothing not even an acknowledgement of it being completed. So BEWARE of smiling faces, especially when they are "going over the details" because they are just a diversion to get you to sign an agreement that is full of crazy charges for every little thing and numerous fees that can be applied to your account. And make sure to read all of it because if you just answer a question based off of them reading it to you then you are the one who will be deemed as "falsifying" answers in the contract. I would give 0 stars if it was an option. we have had this unit for a few years. I rented it for my kids father as he had cancer. he passed away and the kids and I have sloy gone through it. There are only 2 bags and 2 twin box springs left. We canceled it and they said we had to have our stuff out the 25th of March. I went there the 25th and they deactivated my code. I went home to check my account and they charged me another month. If they are charging me then I should have access. I called and the lady was extremely rude. she said she told us we had until the 23rd. Which I know she did not. So I said whatever. My daughter comes to town from Montana and goes to get the rest of the stuff out and the code worked but they put a lock on it! They are not in the office today and my daughter had to leave back to Montana. I am extremely frustrated as they took payment from me!! I would NOT recommend this place!! read more

They are California owned. Do not rent from them. Cannot contact the owner of the company. The prices on their website are different all the time and the company will raise their prices higher to present existing customers than new people renting. My rates were raised within a few months with little notice. I recently moved my belongings out only to find mouse feces all over inside my unit. These units did not have a ceiling in them. Anyone could use a ladder to access your belongings by crawling over the wall. Terrible! read more

I really was hoping to avoid having to put this out there in public but now I feel like I have no choice. I have been renting from South Hill mini storage on 57th for about seven months now. I went by my unit in the middle of November to grab some holiday decorations and discovered that my unit had been broken into. Everything in there was completely ransacked and the part that was most disturbing. Is that the wall on the inside of my unit that is shared with another unit had clearly been broken apart halfway and then repaired by replacing it with a metal wall. Clearly the storage unit manager was more than aware that my unit had been broken into. So here's where the problem starts! Ironically, as rare as I am down there and I can't tell you when it got broken into because I hadn't even visited the unit in over a month the people that rent right next to me had just shown up and also realized their unit have been broken into. None of us had been contacted by the storage unit company. I had to basically beg the manager that was working at the time to come over and speak with us in person. Once she showed up, her answers continued to change. From what myself and the other renters gathered, the units had been broken into and multiple units several weeks prior, but she attempted to act like she was unaware ours had been broken into. I questioned her how on earth the end wall to my unit ended up being replaced, but they were unaware my unit had been broken into and completely ransacked.!? She also told us she had only recently taken over the management position, and that there were no cameras however, when I decided to rent from this location, after looking at many different companies that were within a mile of my home I chose them because they assured me they had excellent security coverage, including cameras in the section my unit was. The manager on this day though told us that the cameras were there, but they were never working. Again, this was mid November. It was a Sunday and I had to work at 5 AM the following day and did not have a ton of time to keep running in circles with this lady. She asked me if I would be OK with them putting one of their locks on the unit so that they can get in there and take more photos, file a report, and have the rest of the damage fixed. I uncomfortably agreed to this arrangement, and she assured me they would call me as soon as the damages were repaired and I could put my own lock back on the unit. At this point in time I no longer have anything of any value left in my unit and had not had a chance to do any sort of an inventory. I knew I had several bags of brand new items in the unit that were now missing I had purchased over the last six months for my children and we're hiding them there until Christmas. On January 3 I receive a letter in the mail informing me that my storage unit price is going up. I still have not had any access to my unit and I have not been contacted to be told anything is repaired and that I can now get into it to do an inventory and put my lock back on. So they were able to contact me to let me know that I would need to pay them more money starting the next month, but not take care of everything associated with the break-in. I called the number that is listed for complaints for this company online and received an after hours person. I explained the situation and told her I do not want to deal with the manager on site at the location as she has let me down and not followed through on anything she said she would. The lady remained nice on the phone, but told me there was nobody else that could handle my issue and I would have to deal with her. I should have followed up with them sooner but I wanted to have good faith in this company and think that they were going to do everything they could to make this right. I have never received an apology, they have not communicated with Me , they never tried to fix any of this with anything but lies. I am going to do everything I can to follow through on assuring that this is made right and that I am reimbursed for everything I can at least notice at the time is missing, but I want to make sure that a warning goes out to anyone that is considering renting from this location. I had also broadcasted this on the Nextdoor app, and had 100s of responses from previous renters that went through the same situation with them. The only reason I got a storage unit was to keep holiday stuff and to hide Christmas gifts from my kids every year and I was so excited to be able to do that! This unfortunate and dishonest situation ruined that entire fantasy I had!!! Please beware of this storage unit and do not take your business to them. They are dishonest, and your things will not be safe. they are unsympathetic of any circumstance related to their negligence. I don't want anyone to go through what I have with them. read more

We had home furnishings there for about 9 months. Over the winter water leaked into the unit and many items items were ruined. Also, many storage units were broken into, mine included, and we were never notified. We became aware of the break-in while vacating the unit. We purchased insurance through them and submitted a claim about five weeks ago but still haven't heard anything. I hope to update this later and say we recovered part of our loss via insurance. If you get their insurance, get the 5K maximum. Janice was a pleasure to work with and very helpful. read more

We've rented a unit from this business for 1 1/2 years. Since then the rate has gone up quite a bit per month. I understand a fair rate increase is sometimes needed but this is ridiculous. The reason we were given for the rate increase is "there's a shortage of storage units in Spokane." In other words, they can name their price and take advantage of the market. A few months ago we could not access our unit on the weekend and of course no one around to call. Turns out something was wrong with their gate, but no "sorry" email or anything. I've been trying to pay my bill online for 2 days now and something is wrong with their website preventing me to do so. I call the number and you don't even get the local office, just an answering service that hung up on me. So now I have to go out of my way to drive and drop off a check so I can get in my unit. I know there's worse things to be dealing with. Just wanted to let others know that the service at this storage unit is very sub-par. read more

Janice is great, friendly and helpful. The storage is easy to access and was clean when we moved in the unit. It is very easy to reserve and pay for the unit. I got a call a day after I reserved a unit and were able to ask questions and received answers to all my questions. However, the mandatory $21 for insurance per month is expensive. Most rental insurance charged about $10/mo for a 2 bedroom apartment. read more

I've had a locker there for years and in the past I've never had problems. But recently the back gate was broken all summer, the late fee used to be $10 but now it's $32, the office has posted office hours of 9-6 pm but I've shown up a many times only to see it's closed, now they charge an extra $25 for insurance if you don't carry your own policy, and the rates have been jacked many times over the last few years. I don't know what changed there, but I wouldn't recommend the place to anyone. read more

Started out fine then the business changed owners and got very greedy. In the first six months that I rented a unit they increased rent by $50 an month and now they are forcing me to get insurance on the storage unit which is just a scam so they can charge me another $25 a month. I would not recommend storing your stuff here because it is highly over priced and once your stuff is moved in they will take any chance to squeeze more money out of you. read more
