Ken then called and indicated the weight of the move would require them to come out for several hours the day before to prep the furniture and that I needed to sign a new contract . The new contract was 1200 .00 more .. started looking at the new contact and the moving materials were being charged on both days . He apologized , blaming the computer . The job went from 5300 to 6800 . Between the 2 day change and double billing for materials , requested my deposit back and found another company . Last week my Fiancée and I used Movher as we were combining households ahead of getting married at the end of the month. It was very short distance move as I was moving from Spokane to Liberty Lake, and my fiancée was just moving within Liberty Lake. They came and collected my goods, then my fiancée's, then unloaded everything in our new place. I bought the 3 guys pizza while they were moving us and also tipped them. They were all friendly and seemed to take great care of everything while they were moving our stuff. However, once we started organizing and unpacking we were very startled by what we came across. The first thing was small- they broke an end table and just propped it up so that it didn't look broken, instead of just saying that it was an accident. Not a huge deal, but still - I would've appreciated the honesty. Next, though- is extremely disturbing and has left my fiancée feeling violated and me beyond angry. My fiancée is missing 3 boxes. Her place was packed up last and was at the back end of the truck. It went the shortest distance. From within Liberty Lake to within Liberty Lake. And somehow 3 boxes are missing. Even more disturbing is the contents on of those boxes. One box was labeled "bras and panties." The other "shoes." The third box was unlabeled. I cannot explain to you the ABSOLUTE ANGER that 3 male movers moved us, and that those are the boxes missing. This is absolute creepiest, most disgusting thing that I think could ever happen. Especially for a company named MovHER. How could any woman ever feel safe when somebody else has been violated like this? How could any family feel safe? And what's worse is that after reaching out to the company they said that they "looked into it" and there were no extra boxes found and actually tried to blame the missing boxes on us, saying that because not every bedroom was moved (because we moved everything for them to take into 2 rooms, and the sell/donate items stayed in the other room) that we must have misplaced them. The other place has been completely cleared out and the boxes are nowhere to be found. They then just sent us the standard claim form to make a claim about it. It's not even about the absurd amount of money that contents of those boxes contained. My fiancée and I are well aware of how the claims process is going to go and that we're not going to get hardly any financial compensation back. That's whatever. It's the principal of what the contents of those boxes missing were. That of all of the boxes, it was THOSE boxes, that were moved by 3 male movers. My fiancée feels violated, and I don't blame her. But I do blame MoveHER for responding better or understanding how gross of a situation this or how violated it makes my fiancée feel. I cannot recommend Movher to anybody and anytime that I hear them mentioned, this story is going to be told. Absolutely disgusted and furious over this experience. read more

Very poor management. The first deep clean plus extra payment for cleaning the oven was anything but. They had to come back to the house the next day to "clean". It was left dirtier the second go around. Bathroom and kitchen counters left dirty. Our contractor even commented on the horrible cleaning work "I would not move into a house this filthy". A total waste of money. Absolutely do not recommend. Management offered no solution to very, very poor service. Being prior military, we have had to clean base housing to pass cleaning inspections for moving out: the condition this company left our house in was left in a condition that never would meet anyone's standard of clean. I called (didn't request on-line quote) and they answered right away, emailed a quote and scheduled our piano move before the call ended. The 3 man crew were on time. They had the best attitude and were friendly and outgoing, along with being professional. Young people with this work ethic are few and far between these days. And on a funny note, they resembled my sons. In my experience, more often than not, movers and delivery people I've hired were unkempt, dirty and crabby and in the past I've hired piano movers who were much more expensive and unnecessary. (Maybe different for a grand piano but mine is upright) Unfortunately I didn't get the crew's names but they deserved a far bigger tip than I gave! Called for a quote 2 days ago and spoke to Ken. He said he would have something drafted and sent over by the end of the day. Well he didn't just received an email (1 day later) estimating @ $800 to move 5/6 items. king size bed (counts as 2 items because of box brings), 2 dressers, 3 seat couch, and a coffee table. Wow! I sent an email back asking if this was correct he said, yes! Could be from $350-800 depending on how long it takes. He estimated it would take 3 hours. That's so ridiculous moving from liberty lake to Spokane valley moving 5 items is going to take 3 hours? Just wow I don't even have words. Went back to screen shot the quote and it's gone now. The people who helped us with our move really were as good as it gets. We moved from Spokane to Seattle (mid December 2017) and everything went smooth and the team was amazing. Andrew who came for the estimate and scheduled the move was great. Additionally, the three men who came out to move and the woman who listed all of our items were fantastic. For all of our recent moves we have broken down the few shelves we have so they don't get scratched during the move. For the first time we didn't break down all of it and to our surprise they wrapped everything using moving blankets and saran wrap to protect items. It was incredible and so appreciated. They were efficient, friendly, professional, and managed to get our couch up over a balcony into our living room since the stairwell was too narrow. These are not professional movers. There is no one in charge. The crew is not trained to pack or handle your delicate items. The company outsources the office staff outside the US and does not answer the phone. The estimator was "not available" to come to my home, so I was asked to send photos of my belongings and check boxes on an online, pre-printed inventory form that did not include spaces for most of my items. On moving day, the truck sent by the estimator was too small, and the crew was short by three people. When I frantically called to speak with someone in charge, I was sent to voicemail. In the end, it took two days and cost me over $10,000 (my original "bid" was just over $6K) to move 90 miles away. Because there STILL wasn't room on the truck, my upright freezer, garden tools and a dozen large kitchen boxes were simply left at my former home. The next morning, I called the estimator, Ken, who sold me on all of this, but was unavailable during the move, to tell him that items had been left at my home. He said, "Wow, I am just really, really sorry." This, of course, after Movher cashed my check. I emailed the owner, Sabrina Jones, and I left messages. She has not responded... This was the worst moving experience I have ever endured. I should have used Allied, AmeriSafe, Safeway... anyone but Movher. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and I really, REALLY hope that they do not do this to anyone else read more

The workers were excellent for their service, but the mis-quoted estimate, the understaffed response, and lacking of a meeting of the minds on the services rendered ruined the experience. I have used them twice for very difficult moves up two flights of stairs and I'm narrow hallways with VERY heavy and awkward and expensive furniture and we've been 100% satisfied and would never, ever consider moving again without them. Their service and quality of personnel are outstanding. Sabrina had me at "Transitions"--when she advised she donates a part of her proceeds to Transitions Women's Shelter and/or community non-profits--I haven't used another mover since (except maybe my two boys, on storage moves)! Movher hires students for moving--no more stinky people showing up without showers or smelling they didn't sleep off last nights boozing (Yes, this has actually happened with a different company). Movher is nothing but professional. I was given documents about moving and an actual free estimate before one of my bigger moves locally--things I have never received from any moving company. I love it! Along with efficiency on the moves (no sloughing around--they MOVE), I have never had to have them fix anything--no broken anythings. They have moved me into large or small, storage, complicated apartments, done several stops (mind you several stops aren't free)--nothing is too much for them. They can also store if need be! (last I knew!). I have had several antiques as well, appliances...everythings is wrapped and taken excellent care of. Movher also now has an additional business of selling furniture and home items--I have purchased a few items at excellent prices and exellent condition--Jerry (partner and husband) is talented at restoring/refurbishing/renewing and I love shopping their furniture page as well, on Facebook. At their price, I should receive great service. Instead, I received ok service and was charged too much time. They were on time, that was good. They were also polite. However, they were a bit slow and used masking tape on oak bookshelves rather than wrapping first. That soaks the oil right out. I have to oil the shelves before putting the books back up. They had a dolly, but they never took it out of the truck. They carried my file cabinet out horizontal. File cabinets are full of papers in folders. Those slide out when it's not kept upright. The 1.5 hour delay because the truck wouldn't start was on the company, not on the movers. Then I had to drive back to my old place to get the tools they forgot, so they could re-assemble the bed. Then I got the bill. I've moved all around the US and nobody charged time from the office to my home. I was surprised when that was a part of what was charged. Between that and the wasted time from my trip, they charged an hour more than they should have. I complained via email and heard nothing back. They weren't terrible, but they're certainly not worth what they charge. read more

We did have damage to a big screen tv for which we got a reasonable refund (we had bought the insurance). An old, but cherished table had a leg come off, but their cabinetry specialist fixed it and spruced up the table, as well. From the start with Annie, our MovHer estimator and throughout the actual process of moving we have been so impressed with this company and the people representing them. Michelle, Su, Dustin, Quinsie, Michael, Melik, and Shawn executed an organized, efficient, careful pack up and move of our 6,500 sq. ft. 3 story home and garages. Added to the difficulty of the move, multiple heavy, stone or bronze statues spread out over an acre lot had to be retrieved and carefully crated. To complicate the process even further, the home is on a steep lot with narrow driveway necessitating ferrying most items to a larger truck down below on the street. This group of pleasant, hardworking, amazing team players arrived early and stayed late to finish. It was a marathon. We are so appreciative of the effort and attitude. Movher came highly recommended by my agent. I loved the fact that the company is owned by women and they contribute to many wonderful local organizations. Unfortunately I used both the movers and the Maids for my recent move (from my house to a small storage unit) and was incredibly disappointed. It hate to write a negative review, but the response to my valid complaints was woefully inadequate. I gave both managers Lonnie (movers) and Cary (cleaners) an opportunity to respond to my concerns by email. Cary was very responsive. I will refrain from reviewing the cleaners, although I can't recommend them. Movers - lacked professionalism and care, neither of the two guys who showed up seemed well-trained. They broke a piece off of an antique dresser and just brushed it off. This was the first piece they moved, and I figured it was an honest mistake so I let it go. It wasn't until the truck was almost fully loaded that I realized that I needed to be paying more attention. A small decorative piece from my bed was left in the empty bedroom (I retrieved it and gave it to them on the truck) and then the same piece was left on the truck at the storage unit until I pointed out that it was missing. A packed hope chest must have opened while being moved because a long strand of beads (that had been packed in the chest) had apparently fallen out of the chest onto the moving truck floor and then the rest of it ended up on the floor of the storage unit. It was fortunate that I had started to watch the unloading more carefully - I had to ask about the broken beads on the floor of the storage unit before the movers admitted the damage to me. By this time I had lost all confidence in the two young guys, but gave them a tip because that's how I am. In reality I was just relieved to see them drive away. I was annoyed that I ended up paying the full estimate despite moving several pieces fewer than what I had originally planned, but I probably wouldn't have complained at all until... The day after the move I got an email (not a call!) from Lonnie informing me that one of my boxes had been left on the moving truck. He wanted to know how and when to deliver my box as if this was no big deal. The missed box created a huge hassle for me. I was very angry. Before responding to Lonnie, I spoke with the agent who recommended Movher, and she suggested I give them a chance to make it right. As mentioned previously, the Maids of Movher were responsive to my complaints. Lonnie, on the other hand, offered me an insulting "discount" (essentially $32.50 on a bill of over $1000). He also said that the movers would be getting "remedial training". That training won't help me now. I expected professional movers as advertised on the website. Also, it took until a week after the move before Lonnie finally dropped off the missing box on my friend's front porch (even though I'd requested movers meet me at the storage unit to help rearrange the poorly placed items). I reached out to Sabrina Jones 3 days ago and have not heard back. This does not seem like the same company that is mentioned in so many of the other reviews. What happened? read more
