I hired two guys from Burnetts to unload my two storage cubes into my split level house. I had to work from my laptop while they were unloading, so I quickly showed them around and gave some directions of what I was expecting. They were respectful of my working space, and followed my requests really well of where I wanted everything (and even made some really good decisions for things I had forgot to give directions on). The entire experience was professional and super quick, I could tell that they enjoy what they do and that makes a difference. Hopefully I won't be moving again for a long time but if I do, I know who to call! read more

We hired two guys from Burnett's to load our truck for a long-distance move, and it was a good experience. From start to finish, the process was smooth, friendly, and laid back. The owner Ryan was easy to deal with, and the guys that came out were really friendly and efficient. They were also really good at playing Tetris! It was astonishing how much they got into our truck. These guys did a great job and at a fair price! I had called to schedule the movers on or around New Years Eve or day, so I understood I wouldn't hear back until at least the 2nd of Jan. Ryan (I believe he's the owner) called back and apologized for not calling me back on a holiday! Wow. We scheduled the unloading of our PODS for 5 days from then. The only snafu was that the paperwork he emailed me went to junk mail (not his fault) but it certainly stressed me out for a few days when I couldn't get ahold of him to check on status since winter is understandably not a busy time for a moving service! I guess my only suggestion here would be to ask for a cell # if you want to schedule during the slow months. Again, just a small suggestion - very very happy with Burnett! I was incredibly pleased with the two men who unloaded our PODS - professional and courteous. I will update their names when I find the scrap of paper I wrote their names on! Two guys showed up on time (well, early really, but we weren't there yet so they left to grab a coffee) and had the one-bedroom apartment empty in under an hour. They were professional and QUICK - those dudes were just going non-stop. I estimated the job was going to take two hours but they blew that WAG right out of the park and saved me $60 in labor. Overall the $85 I spent was worth every penny - no stress, no backaches, no dropped furniture or broken necks moving things down a flight of stairs. I'd definitely use these guys again. read more

They brought a 3rd person free of charge as he was a new hire and the manager was showing him the ropes, which shows that he cares about the quality and development of his employees. 2.) We hired two guys to unload our large moving truck. They were nice enough but moved very slow. After working for 40 minutes they took a 10 min smoke break. We sat around waiting for them to finish. My husband and I worked about as hard as they did. If we weren't there pushing them along I don't think much would have gotten done. Price was fair but I would have rather paid a little more and had a little more pep in the step. read more

Yelp - Burnett's Moving Service I've spent some time considering whether or not to write this review, and finally decided that it might help someone else. I contacted owner Ryan a month in advance of my move in late September, and he came out to estimate the size of U-Haul I would need for my move to another state. He was polite and courteous (although he complained about some of his customers), and I arranged with him to have two helpers for one hour on moving day to load the U-Haul from my 3rd floor one-bedroom walkup. Two days before the scheduled move, I emailed him to confirm the date and time. He replied that I was on his calendar. The day of the move, I got the U-Haul and started loading up. About 5 minutes before he was due, when my family and I were busy running up and down the stairs with boxes and small furniture pieces, he called my phone, which was sitting on my kitchen counter because I didn't want to drop it. When he didn't show up on time, I checked my phone and found a voicemail from Ryan. When I called, I learned that he had me on the schedule for an hour later than we had arranged. He and the other helper were "having coffee" and would be there shortly. They arrived 1/2 hour late, when we were almost finished loading up - except for the larger furniture pieces - and worked for a total of 15 minutes. When I was told the full fee would be charged, I asked for compensation, and was told the "fees" I knew nothing about for equipment (a dolly) and travel would be waived, but I would still have to pay the full hour. I was not happy. In contrast, when I arrived at my destination, I'd hired one helper for two hours for the same fee as Burnett's (no hidden fees for "equipment" or travel). This helper arrived nearly 1/2 hour early with a moving truck and equipment, worked his tail off getting my belongings up to my new 3rd floor walkup, and finished in half the time I'd scheduled. I was so pleased, not only did I pay the full two-hour fee as I'd expected to, but I also gave him a tip, and will call this company the next time I move. I contacted Ryan via email after I was settled and told him I was unsatisfied and felt ripped off. He was rude and gave me nothing but excuses. If you hire this company, be forewarned that you may not get your money's worth! read more

These guys exceeded my expectation in every regard. Ryan, the owner, was friendly and helpful in planning the move. On move day, the team called ahead to verify we were still ready to go that day and then they showed up on time. They were friendly, but not especially big guys, which had me a bit worried. Boy, did that turn out to be unfounded! I had some friends over to help (veterans of previous moves), but when we saw how fast and efficient the Burnett's guys were, we pretty much stayed out of their way until it was time for me to drive the truck to the other house for the unload. They did a nice job with the boxes and furniture, including the piano. They told us we'd need to have the piano tuned separately after they moved it, but we expected that. I saved the workshop, garage, and barn for another day, and if I end up using outside help for that, I'll absolutely call Burnett's. Can't recommend them highly enough! read more

I recently moved to the Coeur d'Alene area and luckily I hired these guys to help unpack my moving truck. I have nothing but great things to say about the timeliness, professionalism and integrity of these guys who work for Burnetts. They unpacked my 20' moving truck, that was packed to the extreme, quickly, efficiently and managed not to scratch even a single box. The guys were super friendly and didn't make me uncomfortable in the slightest, which I'm sure some random men moving heavy objects into your house may cause. I know that I will definitely be hiring Burnetts for any further moving help that I may need, and I highly recommend you do the same! read more

Booked Burnett's for moving, since they had such great reviews, but my experience wasn't as great... two guys showed up almost 2 hours late (I was on the phone frantically looking for new movers when they finally arrived). I had been unable to get a hold of anyone at Burnetts while I was waiting - and panicking... One of them had a hurt wrist, and the other guy seemed new (the hurt guy was sort of teaching him the ropes). They complained my boxes were heavy (but I'd originally moved them all to this storage area in my basement myself with no issue). They dropped a number of my boxes (and who knows what else, when I wasn't looking)! I had 90% of my stuff stored in a 9x9 room but they barely fit it into a 26' truck ... ??? Took far longer than I expected - so I believe I paid a little extra for the inefficient time they took... later in the day finally got a call back from Ryan the owner, from my earlier messages about his guys being late, but thought my messages were about booking a job even after I told him my name, still seemed confused that I was a customer. ugh... Ultimately, they got my stuff from Point A to Point B, and they were courteous, but overall I wasn't impressed enough to try using this company again. read more

We used this service when moving several weeks ago, and I will say after careful cleaning of our old home, and complete unpacking of the new home we were stolen from. I instantly knew that one of the workers stole something from us, and upon calling them I was given excuses and told that two of the workers were related to the person I was speaking with so it couldn't have been them. It was insulting. One of the other workers also made some sexist comments about the fact that I (a man) let my girlfriend pick the wrong size trailer. The monetary value of what was stolen isn't the issue, and I don't need it to be replaced. What is the issue is the fact that we used this service after a high recommendation, and then this is how we were treated. I didn't even bother calling back because the first experience was beyond horrible customer service. I hope Burnett's invests the hard earned money we gave them into background checks for their people in the future. read more
