I don't even know where to start. After hours of digging through Google, Reddit threads, Yelp…read morereviews... you name it, I was genuinely overwhelmed trying to find the right company to ship my (new to me) classic car (1967 Mustang). It feels like every transport company has either horror stories of the car falling off the trailer and the driver didn't have insurance, car was taken to the Mexican boarder and never seen again, or obviously fake reviews. I eventually landed on Zip Auto Ship for two big reasons. First, the sheer number of legit 5-star reviews. Not AI-written nonsense, no bots, actual people with real experiences. I honestly didn't believe it at first. Second, I called and spoke with Josh, and that conversation alone pretty much sealed it. He didn't give me the usual sales pitch. He walked me through how the process works, why prep and proper insurance coverage matter, and how carefully he vets the carriers he works with. It was clear he actually cares about doing things the right way, and that immediately put me at ease. For context, I got five quotes total: two from friends' recommendations, two local companies, and then Josh at ZipAutoShip. Not only did Josh have the best reviews and the most transparent communication, but his quote was the best price by a noticeable margin. About 10% cheaper than everything else I looked at. And again... zero pressure. No pushing, no guilt-tripping, just straight answers and a fair number. From there, he made the whole thing ridiculously easy. He took my info, contacted the current owner on my behalf, coordinated everything with the carrier, and lined up the pick-up and delivery without me having to babysit the process. The car showed up at my door in Little Rock four business days after my first call with him. Smooth, simple, exactly what you hope for when shipping a vehicle but rarely get. And honestly, one of the things I appreciated most: he didn't spam me afterward. No "hey can you leave a review?" messages, no follow-up hustle. Just a job well done and letting the work speak for itself. That actually says a lot about the kind of business he runs. If I ever have to ship a car again, there's absolutely no question I'm calling Josh. Save yourself the headache and just go with Zip Auto Ship.

I originally hired another company to move my car up to NY. After they completely dropped the ball…read moreon any of their promises, I reached out to Josh. He was very sympathetic to my problem and got right into finding a solution. Within one day, he sourced another carrier, gave me a promised pick up date and supplied the carrier's proof of insurance to ease my mind that my car would be covered if damaged. Josh is an all-star who takes great pride in is work in an industry that is filled with less-than honorable people. It's one thing to make a promise, it's another if they can actually deliver on the promise - that's where this company excels!!!

We reserved our move probably around 2 months prior to our actual move date. On the day we got the…read morequote we were on the phone with Rachel for about an hour. After she gave us the quote and some "discounts" we were pushed to sign the contract without having time to go over it and come up with additional questions regarding our move. When the time to move came around that's when the nightmare started. First, the pickup was meant to be done from 8am-10am ( I am a healthcare worker and came from a nightshift to wait for them) and then they showed up at noon. Once they get there it appears as it's a different company that was doing the pick up, which we were not aware of- we hired we move anywhere, NOT some other moving company. That made us uncomfortable and worried about who we were giving our money to. As expected, our furniture took about 6 days to get to its final destination but that also had its own issues. First, we were told that they would let us know 12-24 hours before they arrived. The driver called us around 1:30pm to let us know that he was going to drop off our things at 7pm. We had to tell him that we needed to reserve an elevator at our new place so we would have to wait. The guy started saying that there were going to be other fees involved, including a "delay fee", when we asked how that worked he was not able to provide an answer as to what that meant. We called his supervisor, who said there were no fees. To clarify further we called Rachel to ask about all these other extra fees, she was unable to answer any of our questions and said she was going to arrange for someone else to give us a call in a few minutes to clarify our questions- we never received a call. How is it that the person who sold us the service cannot answer any of these questions?? This is the same person who blindsided us and pushed us to sign a contract without allowing us to review in detail all these other possible fees. When the driver gets here the next day (already upset because he had to wait until the next morning to deliver our furniture) - turns out he's driving an 18-wheeler. WHERE DOES AN 18-WHEELER FIT?? other than at a Walmart or a Costco? Come on! It's very very very unlikely that they are able to fit that anywhere. So of course, the driver makes a vague attempt and then states that we will need to pay for a shuttle service which could be $300-400 (which btw says $300 in our contract but in another paper they gave us it says $400 and we got stuck paying the $400). Yes, in the contract it says if they can't fit in the truck we would get an extra charge. But it never specified it was an 18-wheeler and that pretty much is a guarantee for the driver to get an extra $400. The only alternative was for us to rent a truck ourselves and finish the move ourselves if we didn't want to pay him the extra $400- seriously? I'm going to finish paying for the services they were supposed to provide me and do the move myself? When the driver finally makes it to our place in a smaller truck, he had no tools. Several pieces of furniture were also missing. Now we don't have a bed or nightstands. The driver reported the missing items and we were supposed to get a call later that day...we're still waiting for it. It's also kind of shady how some things we pay the driver directly and others we pay to the company (which btw also has a different name on Zelle). Bottom line: It is just a bunch of different companies handling the move and vague statements about extra charges. Get ready to be blindsided from every angle if you decide to hire them. And for your furniture to be missing parts.

At that point, we had no choice but to sign and proceed. This felt like a clear bait-and-switch during a vulnerable time. Shady Truck Loading Practices The crew blocked off part of the truck without telling us. Since we're charged per cubic foot, we asked them to shift items forward. Only then did they claim it was to prevent rain damage--despite no rain being forecast and items being transferred that same day. The foreman also claimed the truck held 2,200 cubic feet, but a standard 26-ft truck (approx. 25.11 × 8.1 × 8.1 ft) is closer to ~1,650 cubic feet. This raised concerns about accuracy. They later said the truck was "full" despite visible unused space (documented in our photos), forcing us to leave items behind and pay extra to retrieve them. We reported this with photos to We Move Anywhere but received no response. Damage & Poor Packing Items were damaged due to poor handling and inefficient packing. TVs were not placed in boxes we provided (one is now unusable due to a bent screen). Boxes had excessive empty space, fragile labels were ignored, and several boxes were crushed. Furniture arrived scratched and chipped. Property Damage The crew appeared rushed, resulting in dents in our hardwood floors and scratches on walls. Lack of Transparency Between Companies We chose Midwest Long Distance Moving based on reviews, but paperwork came from We Move Anywhere (a broker, which wasn't explained). Then we received a bill of lading from Jackson Movers--again with no clear explanation. We were pressured to sign quickly with little clarity on who was responsible. Warranty/insurance options were never properly explained. The entire process involved multiple companies, inconsistent communication, and minimal transparency. Unloading Issues STAY AWAY!!

STAY AWAY! PLEASE…read moreREAD: The platform they use to get your credit card info is NOT secure. The DocuSign doc has all of your info written out and can be distributed at will. My credit card started having fraudulent charges around the time the dispute was made and this is the only potential leak we can think of. --- I had to change my moving plans quite a bit, so by the time I finally decided I had to ship my car, I was in quite a time crunch. After quickly comparing quotes, I decided to go with Master Pro Transport. They answered my first call right away wherein I asked a few questions about my quote and some logistics. Everything sounded fine and dandy so I started signing the contract. While looking it over, I had some more questions come to mind and wanted to verify something so I called thinking they'd be just as quick. No answer. I thought maybe they were just overloaded with customers so I tried calling two more times a few hours apart. Still nothing. At this point I was starting to get desperate so I just signed since the deposit amount came up as $0. The next day, which was technically my proposed shipping date, I tried calling again when a new thought occurred to me. They were screening my calls. I tested this theory by calling with my dad's phone. Surprise surprise, picked up in a jiffy. I was assured that dispatch would be contacting me with more information and that I was on the schedule so a driver would be calling to schedule a pick-up time. Welll neither of those had happened by the next day. SO I did another round robin of using my phone (nothing), my dad's phone (nothing), then my mom's phone (picked up!). Same story. I waited a few hours before deciding this was becoming too much. To add insult to injury, I discovered that they had charged me the $100 deposit as soon as I had signed the contract when their OWN contract states that it wouldn't be due until they had a carrier in place. Ridiculous. I left a voicemail as well as an email stating that I'm canceling the order and disputing the charge. No replies to either, of course. Overall, NO!
