Stay clear of this transport company and all of its shady practices. They did not and will not live up to any of your expectations or to their contracts. They left my car in a store parking lot (telling us it was at a dealership) without the recipient signing for the car and the keys on the tire. The transport truck even passed the location to which it was contracted to be delivered to and the roads were clear and dry. We were more than understanding of the late delivery due to weather but there is no reason whatsoever for the extreme lack of communication. On every turn of this experience the company blamed us, the customer, for all the issues. Update: My husband spoke to Ross about this horrible experience, he advised this driver would not be used again and would make right on this situation. He also stated that the review that was written was a reflection of his company which is 100% correct as it was "his" company we contacted to transmit car. My husband told Ross that we are more than willing to remove the reviews once he made some type of effort to compensate us for such a terrible and stressful situation. I wish I could give 0 stars. Scam!!!!!! Beware, this company is trash. Mike Thompson and thier Dispatcher Frank are scam artists. They were supposed to pick my vehicle up on Thursday June 30 and then changed the date to Friday July 1st but not before asking if they can do it July 5th. I said no. They found a driver for July 1st. I paid my deposit of $115.00 out of the $395 total. Then the driver Texted me and canceled. Called Frank back and he said he was going to give the driver a negative review and I was to give him a chance to find another driver. But he never called me back. so after calling him back, he said he still haven't found a driver yet. Asked if I could get my money back and Frank said yes and he would expedite my refund. Said it would be 3 to 5 business days. After waiting a week for the refund, called back and he said he haven't heard anything regarding my refund. Gave it a few more days before I called back and was told my refund wasn't coming because I canceled the tow, even though that wasn't true. Have been playing phone tag with this company and thier accounting department to no avail. Now they are not accepting my phone calls at all. The number is saying it is out of my calling area every time I make a selection. #3 for customer service and #4 for Accounting. DO Not send this company your money. The broker never picks up his phone. The car was supposed to be delivered to a residential address, he sets up a delivery with a semi truck that can't get to me. I was given the wrong number for the driver. I was never notified if the car was picked up at all until I called for days trying to get ahold of someone and being promised 4 calls back which I never got. I gave the seller the contact information of the driver and gave the driver the seller's info. It is 7:30pm eastern time and the seller called me and said the driver is about 20 minutes out. Finally, I receive a call from the seller at about 8:30 PM eastern time confirming the car had been loaded on an open carrier. It arrived to my area on December 27th about 7pm. It was very cold and dark and the "door to door service" was not available. The driver did not want to go into my neighborhood to drop it off as he said his truck was too big. So I met him at a shopping center about 5 miles away. They were in a big hurry and had me pay with credit card as they do not take personal check, and I do not have that kind of money laying around. I get on the phone to make a payment while they unload it off the carrier. They now say there is a 4% charge for credit card now we are up to 1716.00 plus I had already paid $200 for Secure Auto Shipping $1,916.00 the total for shipping was $841.00 more than the quote really. ​The driver was in a hurry and talked about having 2 more deliveries that night so I signed for the car that was supposed to be insured during transport and as I inspected the car I see the convertible top is completely torn off of the car and there was snow inside. Give me a break. I looked to call the transport company to address the issue and the bottom of the paperwork I signed and dated to take possession of the car says by signing this you fully release the carrier company from all damages. Is that why they deliver at night? ​The car also had a flat tire and the carrier has no compressor or pump and I could not get it started (not really their fault). So instead of dropping it off at my home as promised they left me in a parking lot to now deal with a tow truck to come and get me. By 10:30pm the car was at my house. This was one of the most stressful and disappointing experience I have had with any customer experience in my entire life. I will never ship any car again. I will never recommend Secure Auto Shipping. Secure Auto Shipping has discredited the entire auto shipping industry for me. In fact, I will be going out of my way to make sure everyone knows about this. If I need a classic like this or any car, boat, truck, SUV or motorcycle I will just wait until I can find one within 100 miles. 16 days after I requested a quote, damage to the convertible top, on an open carrier, for $841.00 more than the original quote. Secure Auto Shipping underbid everybody else with an email quote of $800, reconfirmed several days later by another email. When I called them, they said it was just an 'estimate' and that the price was going to be $925. I still wanted to give them the opportunity at $875 (second best bid). I did not hear back from them for several days. The target shipping day was today and still no call or email confirmation. I called again this morning and now 'the driver wanted $25' more. We originally were told that our Hellcat would be handled with "white glove" service, wrapped completely, put on the trailer in a location where it would not have to be moved until it was dropped off. How would you like to be moving to NH and arrange for your car to be transported from Florida only to find out the day of pick up that "they forgot". WHO DOES THIS?? So the unprofessional vendor gave us options: 1. He could pick up the car three days after the agreed date. 2. Leave the car at his girlfriend's house and he would pick it up. 3. Find another location to leave the car since we had plans to leave the state on the day of pickup since we SOLD our house. He acted like he was the trucking company but all he was in the end is an incompetent broker. The car not only was not wrapped as advertised we also had to pay full price for his screw ups. No discount was offered. Our car had been moved and arrived on a different trailer from pickup. Moving forward I would deal with the trucking company ourselves and eliminate the middle man. My experience was incredible disorganization, indifference to argumentative in dealing with their employees, and horrific follow up that had to be fully initiated from my end. Terrible!!!!! This company is a joke!!! The driver had never hauled cars before and caused extensive damage to my 1941 chevrolet. Dont go with this company. I called the company and spoke with the owner Gary Staggs and he refused to give me insurance information. He said for me to send in a bill so he can review it ??? WTF ? I called my AAA insurance and they are going to proceed and fix my car and will pursue restitution from their insurance. I cant believe the owner Gary said, " I am a grown man and I will decide whether or not I will give you my insurance information. I am not going to turn this claim into my insurance because my rates will go up." I canr believe they are not taking responsibility. i have statment on bill of lading that i signed indicating all damage and i have photos and video of my car on the trailer. Also driver did not follow instructions to leave vehicle in the center of trailer and was not to be moved til it arrived in california and I was supposed to drive it off. He moved it during transport to the back of trailer with the front end of my car hanging over the rear edge. He said after driving so many hours he was so exhausted he was dead to the world and while asleep at a truck stop another truck must have hit my car causing the damage. If the owner takes responsibilty and covers the damages to my car I will revise my review. But if my insurance ends up paying for all of it i will also add to the review and include photos of my car with damage while still on the trailer. This is supposed to be Secure Auto shipping? The owner basically mocked me on the phone and denied there was any significant damage. I have no complaints. Ross was my agent at SAS. He was very nice when I was trying to choose which broker to use and not pushy. I felt like a lot of other guys were trying to pressure me into a decision and getting blasted with emails/calls was getting really old. I was not bound by dates, so I took my time reading reviews. I read tons of reviews for about 3 days and checked the BBB site for ALL of the companies I was considering. SAS actually has a B rating right now and I chose it over other companies with A+ rating because Ross made me feel the most comfortable. I recommend going with the company you feel will honor your claim the most if you end up needing to make one. Read their complaints on BBB and how they have responded to them. I think that in the end, you are rolling the dice with whatever broker you choose because the actual carrier varies and they are the ones actually handling your car. Most reviews are about people complaining about scratches or noticing issues after the car has been signed for. If you have an impeccable car with no scratches, take your time and look at every inch of your car up close. Take pictures before so that you have proof of the state it was in at pick up. Take up close pictures in sections and make sure everything is visible. A lot of bad reviews are due to not pointing things out at the time of delivery. Also, pick up your car yourself if you are worried about it. If you send someone else, they may not see what you could've seen at the time of delivery. A lot of people also complain about the delivery missing the promised date, so ship early if you can. Be patient and know that the delivery date is only an estimate. If you have issues, complain. If they don't listen, complain on BBB. That's why you need to choose a broker that cares about their BBB rating. My carrier was CDL Transport and Eddie was very nice and gave me my car in San Diego in the same condition it left Miami, FL. It was filthy with weird greasy spots, but that's expected from the dirt. It did come a long way. I will update this post if those spots don't come out after the wash. I didn't care how long the car took to get to me as long as it wasn't damaged in the process, but Eddie arrived in San Diego about 3 hours off from the delivery estimate he gave me when he picked up the car in Miami. David was hands down the worst person to communicate with he flat out lied to me and now avoids telling me what's going on. Promised me one thing didn't happen and he just happens to leave work everytime I've needed a resolution. I will not only be reporting them to BBB but I'm disputing charges w my bank. I have emails from him stating one thing then the driver sent me a different contract stating the opposite. I will NEVER do business with them again whoever hired David and Albert should prob look deeply into their business practices and competencies (or lack thereof). Terrible business practice. I had secured a quote from David Valle 3 months in advance for shipping from Boston area to Naples FL. When the date approached to ship the vehicle it was almost impossible to get a response from David. Finally, 2 days prior to the shipping date, I was able to get a response from David with assurance that he would have all the pertinent information emailed to me that afternoon. Again, no follow through on his promise to deliver the info and no subsequent contact that day. Again, the next day, which was the day before the agreed upon shipping date, I finally spoke to David directly and he promised to have all my information to me within 2 hours and once again I wads left waiting for a response that never transpired. I finally sent an email on the shipping date cancelling the order due to a complete lack of confidence that they could be trusted to fulfill their commitment s agreed upon 3 months earlier!! At the beginning of the process, my agent, Jay, was extremely helpful and responsive. However, when things started to go wrong, Jay gave me misleading information and became unresponsive. Originally the car was to be picked up on Friday, July 8. Jay told me the driver was running behind and the car would be picked up on Saturday, July 9. I contacted Jay on Saturday, July 9 to confirm pick up and he said that the car would be in transit Saturday and I would receive updates on Monday, July 11. Based on this information, I did not use the plane ticket I had purchased for Sunday, July 10 to go retrieve the car myself. Monday, July 11 went by with no contact from Jay. I called Secure Auto Shipping directly on Tuesday, July 12 for an update. They informed me their subcontractor had picked up the car on Monday, July 11. This was not the case, as the subcontractor contacted me on Tuesday, July 12 to say they were picking up the car. Jay said he would "look into the issue," on Tuesday, July 12 but it has been radio silence from him since. Jay Warde and Secure Auto Shipping misled me and did not take the time to find honest answers to my questions. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this business. It looks like there is miscommunication between Secure Auto Shipping and Pro Logistics Transport. I paid Secure Auto Shipping the down payment to get things going for my car to be shipped 2 weeks prior to sending my vehicle. Pro Logistics who was brokered by Secure Auto Shipping still had me paying full price of shipping my car on COD. I don't understand how I am owing the full price of shipping my car when I already paid $250 of it. I would not suggest going through Secure Auto Shipping and Pro Logistics Transport, it seems that they need to work on communication issues. If you value your money then don't waste your time and money on these two companies. The 24/7 customer service support also does not apply on weekends for both companies. I recommend looking at other companies and probing better than I did on the cost of shipping and what is owed on COD. When car is picked up to also make sure the COD price is the price minus the down payment you paid. Yelp is not the only mode of communication about these two companies thank goodness so the word will spread. I hope you are able to make a decision better than I did and not use Secure Auto Shipping. read more

After multiple times asking this guy, James, if they were a broker and him repeatedly telling me,"No sir we operate and maintain our trucks" I decided to go with Secure Auto shipping to ship my car to my new duty station in Pensacola Florida. Only to find out that they indeed are a broker and they lied over the phone just to squeeze a couple of bucks out of my hard earned pocket. Well, good thing you can dispute fraud over false representation on credit cards because me being in the Military as an E1 I don't exactly have $195 to spend on a company who pretty much did the work I could have done myself (if I'd known they were a broker) and just posted my car on a website and let drivers bid on it. Hats off to the driver who drove it here though, very nice gentleman and was even willing to explain how many brokerage companies actually do this. Terrible! Do not believe what they say! The positive reviews must be from friends or family. I spoke with Jay who was a wonderful salesman. Nothing they promised could be delivered. They also sent it over to another dispatcher D Grass Transport who when I questioned the issue of door to door told me "what I was paying was too cheap for door to door" and hung up on telling me he would refund me. I became concerned that Secure Auto gave out my credit card info. Secure Auto kept trying to set me up with drivers that couldn't come on the day requested or pick up door to door as promised so I requested a refund for the reservation fee which I never had signed the contract for but they put the charge through anyway. I asked to speak to a supervisor in billing for a refund. I was connected to Dave. Dave just kept speaking over me and making me frustrated. Secure Auto Shipping has totally messed up shipping my Scooter to San Diago. They really don't deserve 1 star but that's the lowest I could choose. Even tho they knew the date the scooter had to be delivered to make its overseas shipping they picked it up late & dropped it off at another site where it has been stored for the past 3 weeks. They have lied to me all along about correcting their error and the scooter has still not been delivered to the correct drop off point. Now I have to pay storage charges to get my scooter out of the wrong drop off facility and I need to find a shipper to finish the job Secure Auto Shipping didn't complete. In the meantime my scooter has missed 2 ships for its destination. I've had to rent a vehicle at my destination & because of Secure Auto's Mistake & refusal to accept any responsibility I will incur thousands of dollars in additional expenses. I will take all legal action that I can to recover my extra costs but in the meantime they have created an unbelievable mess that has taken weeks to sort out. I have filed a complaint with the FMCSA and will continue to file bad reviews & complaints with all government agencies that regulate shipping, hopefully I can save someone else from going through this. read more
