I'll start with the positives. This storage facility is recently built and still looks pretty new inside and out. There is one or two employees that I came across that knew how to do their jobs as well as how to talk to a customer. Lastly, there is a pretty nice electronic sign that tells you the time as you are pulling up to the facility entrance.
Now the stuff that matters. I moved out of my storage today after only being there a month because of one terrible experience. I'll go into detail but before I do, that experience led me to research this company. You cannot find a corporate number anywhere, not on their website, not on LinkedIn, not anywhere. What I could find was a whole lot of horror stories on the Better Business Bureau website. Granted I didn't see any from this particular location but it gives you an idea on how the company as a whole does not value customer service. This is what happened to me.
On 2/18/19 I pulled up to the gate and entered my code to get in. The gate opened and I pulled in. It was 6:52 pm. I came straight from work and all I needed was to grab a pair of boots for work the next day. This would've been less than 2 minutes total from pulling up to leaving the property. As soon as I came through the gate I had a female employee come running out of the office telling me she needs to set the alarm and look at the time. I tried to tell her that the hours online are listed until 7:00 PM and that I just needed some boots for work. She talked over me the entire time I was talking saying that I needed to turn my car around and leave following it with she needs to set the alarm/look at the time. Seeing that I wasn't getting through to her I just turned my vehicle around and pulled up to the gate to leave. I wanted to go ask what the policy was for complaints and so I walked up to the door to the office. It was locked and from behind the desk, this "lady" shouted at me rather loudly that she already locked the door. Not once or twice either she continue saying this in a loud manner as to drown out anything I was trying to ask her through the glass door. So then I held up 7 fingers and this model employee just rolled her eyes and looked up at the ceiling to avoid acknowledging any kind of communication I tried. So I pulled out through gate and I look to my left to see an open sign in the window and the tine of 6:54 PM on their Electronic Sign. See my picture attached to this. I was in shock at the way the last two minutes of my life passed by and so I pulled over and wasted another 15 minutes. Wasted because I could not find corporates number and the contact us feature is a joke. I sat there and typed out this whole story on that contact us hoping someone would call me back after reading it but nope. After spending the time to try to reach out to them, it could not be processed because it exceeded the character limits. That would've been nice to know before I typed it. I tried to edit it down leaving only the main items but it was just too complicated.
The next day when I was at work without my boots that I needed, my wife went it to pick them for me. She found little German cockroaches and freaked out. These are the worst kind, and so she told them we would be out at the end of the month. That's today. While moving all of our stuff out, I found rodent droppings in the corner of our unit. Roaches and Rodents in the manner of a month. My house is treated every 60 days by a professional exterminator but hopefully these pests don't follow us home.
The following day and a few days since then when I drive by before they are supposed to be closed, no more open sign and lights were all turned off. This was even as early as 640 one night. It must depend on who is closing I gu
If you are thinking about renting a storage please go to the Better Business Bureau website first and see how companies deal with customers when a problems arises. Another tip is have a corporate number before you rent so you can call if an issue does come up.

She was not strict, she was rude. It was not 7 when I got there and I was not allowed to go to my unit. I appreciate the response, but it seems as if it is just an excuse. read more
