Regular gyro with onion and tomato, side of tzatziki
Josh G.

I haven't been to Sebastian's in a couple years, since Alex sold the business to the new owners. I have to say, it is just as delicious as it always was. I used to live right down the street and walk there regularly. I am super happy that the quality of food has not dropped an iota. As a matter of fact, the tzatziki seemed a touch thicker than I remember, and just as packed full of punch as always. Picked up a gyro all the way and am super happy with my lunch choice today!!

Open Gyro Dinner

The food is incredible and authentic Greek. The staff makes you feel like family. I try to stop here each time I am in town. I would highly recommend the open gyro dinner if you love gyro meat.

I haven't had this west side staple in a long while. I was craving a good old gyro loaded with a bunch of tzatziki sauce. Sebastian's serves up the freshest made to order gyro around. Still owned and operated by the original owner quality is still there. I sided it with their delicious fries. Great little lunch spot. Inside is no frills as there are only 5-6 small tables. I always get it to go. Sebastian's is a must try for those who haven't been here. You won't be disappointed.

This is a very small restaurant on Glenway Avenue in Cincinnati. They focus on Greek food specifically gyros. Although they have very limited space and tables inside service was available at the time of my visit. I got their original gyro more or less plain with just the pita bread, meat, and Tzatziki sauce (I don't really like tomatoes or onions too much). The bread was warm and delicious and their Tzatziki sauce was an excellent take. But the star was that lamb meat as it just had so much darn flavour. Plus they really loaded tons of it on my sandwich too. As good as gyro gets for sure. We also got an order of Spanakopita which is phylo dough, feta cheese, and a little spinach. The combination is really delicious as I really love feta cheese. This is one of those small, old school restaurants that's been around a really long time because they deliver awesome gyros and I'll definitely be back for another soon. Thumbs up.

I lived on the west side for a while now and I'm almost embarrassed to say that I've never been here. I've never had Greek food other than baklava either. I went in in the afternoon and there was a gentleman who I'm assuming is the owner and another lady. They are both very friendly. I got a little bit of everything. The small gyro Was still pretty big I couldn't even finish it. The Greek fries were amazing I wish I knew with that seasoning was but they wouldn't tell me. It's a restaurant secret. And the desserts were wonderful as well. I don't have any kind of Greek food to compare it to but I highly recommend you stopping by and trying it out.

Stop by here if you want some great gyros! It's located on the west side and definitely worth the drive if you're not from the area. Find some parking spaces in the back of the restaurant. When you first come in, you'll see that there are only about 10 tables (fits 4 each) and you'll have to order at the counter. Don't be afraid if the line is a bit long since they serve the food pretty quickly. My favorites go-to are their gyros and French fries.

A happy sebastian!

It's hard to find a good gyro these days but now I know where to go! My gyro was juicy, delicious & the pita was soft with a grilled crispy outside. Exactly what I'd hoped for! The fries were slightly greasy but that's kind if the nature of a French fry. The baklava was large, crispy sweet & totally satisfying. I'd probably stick to the gyro & baklava next time. But, i Can't wait to go back!

Sebastian's Gyro, yum.

Great gyro and fries. Only complaint is the tzatziki is like water and just runs right out of the gyro while you're eating.

Food was nasty and so was their attitude. Never again I'll just stick with Chicago gyro.

Count your change, especially if you pay with a 20.00. Just sayin' and I am not the only one where a "mistake" on the change back occurred.

If this appeals to you, try this place. Their service makes you quickly feel right at home, and that continues throughout the meal. There were five of us, so we ordered several dishes to share. The hummus was fresh, the falafel was crispy on the outside and tasty, the lamb was tender, and the lahmacun ('Turkish pizza' for those that haven't tried this) was outstanding. The Lahmacun reminded me of my visit to a Turkish restaurant in Kazakhstan many years ago -- it was that good. My adult kids also had the salmon and a chicken sauté and loved both... I almost lost a finger getting a nibble. The drinks and desserts were also spot on. It's a very relaxed atmosphere and has seating to accommodate larger groups, so bring your friends and family and share. One recommendation for the Cafe -- we wish the lighting were a bit dimmer. Seemed a little bright in the main dining area. Other than that, thanks for a great night.

Food: 5/5 Dishes are explained as slightly larger plates than tapas style. My favorites: Wood Grilled Octopus, Crispy Falafel, Bouillabaisse. Love the Moroccan Mint Tea as well! Service: 4.7/5 Very friendly! They course out your plates for you which I always love. They were able to accommodate my pescatarian diet (I.e., meats on the side to give to others at the table). On a less busy night, they offered a free toast for my birthday. I've been for other celebratory dinners here on busier nights where that hasn't happened, so it was a lovely surprise! Ambiance: 4/5 A little busy and can get loud on the weekends with table chatter, cutlery clinks, and the brick walls echoing noise around. Tables are also close together, so you can definitely hear the conversation next to you. The decor is pleasant and the lighting is soft and romantic enough that it is still a perfect date night spot! There are also a couple larger crescent booths for larger parties.

After a Great Clips haircut, on the recommendation of the stylist, I tried it out, was very impressed. Been there many times since, never been disappointed. I've since moved to Liberty Twp. but the Phoenician still beckons. Had dinner last night there with my wife. It was a wonderful experience. I felt it was high time I wrote them up. We started with an excellent double-hop IPA and a great Lebanese red wine, I think it was called Kefraya. Gonna seek it out locally, maybe at Jungle Jim's. As always, the pita bread is fresh, oven-hot and delectable. The shankleen appetizer is outstanding, a lovely fusion of greens, lentils, feta cheese, olive oil and spices. Wife ordered schwirma - slow-grilled combo of sliced chicken alongside sliced beef and lamb. The waiter obligingly substituted a side of couscous for rice, no extra charge. I had a braised shank of lamb in a rich tomato sauce. Both entrees were delicious. As always, the portions were very generous, so we took food home along with complimentary fresh pita bread. Besides the great food, the service is superb. The owner makes a point of stopping at each table to ensure that the diners are happy. We look forward to our next visit.

We ended up ordering: Appetizers: Baba ghannouge M'hammara Taverna falafel Dinner: Shawarma chicken Kebab mixed grill Drinks: Chateau kefraya, Les Bretches Almaza Pilsner My favorite from the appetizers is the eggplant and falafel! Super fresh and the bread that came with it was so good. Even the dipping sauce was amazing. My Shawarma chicken was super delish. You have to put the garlic butter on the rice! It gives it great flavor. My Mr enjoyed his meal as well. We definitely had to get a to go box because there was so much food. But we will look forward the next day to eat it. Overall, the service was great and I loved the experience. We can see ourselves coming back for more! I can see why my best friend loves it here! Highly recommend you try it.

We are in town visiting and we went there for a nice meat meal after several days of dairy on the road. There were 6 of us at the table with 2 children. If I lived in town I would not be going back. They had 1 waitress working the entire place. She was kind enough but all she did was make excuses. We sat down at 6:15 and we did not get our hummus appetizer, which apparently they ran out of soon after, until 7:15. When we arrived there was only 2 tables occupied so it was not bustling. I am not sure how or why it took so long to prepare Hummus but given the ingredients I could have scratch cooked our entire meals in a fraction of that time. Again, when we arrived there were 2 other tables of 2 and maybe 1-2 small orders picked up during out time there. During our visit they had several more groups come in, some served before us, some getting the constant refrain, "we are out of this." It seems like there was 1 chef in the kitchen preparing all the food on their own. It is also highly problematic that they had 2 small children sitting there for an hour with not even a little bread or anything. We had to push the waitress to get the hot dogs out so they would calm down. As for the food, most of it was OK. The ribeye was properly cooked. The braised short rib was tender with a little wine flavor. The kids hot dogs were hot dogs. The chicken schwarma was flavorful. The Israeli salad was what you would expect. The green beans were overcooked, unseasoned and tasted like nothing. The worst and most impressive thing was how they got the mashed potatoes to taste like they came from a powder out of a box. I don't often leave something completely uneaten but they were inedible. How you can serve a $50 steak with such artificial swill is beyond me. I get it, they are the only option. Fail!
