I ate here a few nights ago while on a girls' vacation. The experience started out great. The menu has something for everyone, the food was good, although not lifechanging, and the waiter was friendly. We asked for the dessert menu and instead of bringing it to us, the waiter brought over a dessert sample and said was on the house. It was weird that he didn't let us order ourselves but we were appreciative. When the bill came, we noticed that he only charged us for drinks and appetizers leaving off three entrees. None of us felt comfortable with this so we told him about his mistake. He said "weird," excused himself, and came back and told us it wasn't in the computer and it was just our "lucky day." We didn't argue and decided to make it up to the waiter (Mario) with a massive tip. We spent a long time calculating it, (after a few drinks, our math skills were sub-par lol), and paid. We were about to leave when the manager came over (Gladys) and said we didn't pay for our entrees and couldn't leave. The waiter dipped his head and played clueless. Gladys was extremely aggressive with us when we simply had questions about the remaining bill. Rather than apologizing for THEIR mistake, she basically accused US of trying to get out of paying and threatened to call the cops if we didn't pay. We had no intention of refusing to pay and yet she treated us like criminals. Really messed up service and would not recommend. read more

Food was good but the service was highly questionable by both the waiter Mario and the manager, Gladys. Essentially the waiter was trying to scam the system by keeping two tabs and giving us only one. When we pointed out that our entrees were missing from the bill he said they weren't on the computer and he wasn't creating another bill. So we paid and tipped. About to leave and the manager approached us and after a very confusing separation of bills and recharging she threatened to call the police. Came here for the seasonal menu. Great staff, from the hostess stand to server; Juan was an excellent and attentive server. We did the flatbread and sip for $14. The sparking cosmo was strong but refreshing. Margarita didn't taste cheap. We also added a crab cake and the steak taco bites. For the flatbreads we had the bacon and corn and the chicken pesto which were both so delicious but the corn flatbread definitely is a must have. The crabcake is big enough to share. I must say I'm always hesitant with crab cakes if it's not the DMV area but this one definitely did not disappoint. The steak bites were ok, the sauce for sure took it home. Yet another wonderful event at our daughter's go to for all of her special celebrations Seasons 52 Miracle Mile. We celebrated her high school graduation last night and we couldn't be happier with the food and the service, always on point at this location. Not only is the restaurant always very accommodating for big groups but the food is always made to order and the atmosphere is relaxed. We had a wonderful dinner at Seasons 52. In addition to the regular menu they offered their version of Miami Spice. We each had a soup, corn and lobster bisque ($2 supplement but well worth it). The regular menu items were excellent choices: grilled scallops and grilled pork chop were our picks, and they were both excellent. Properly cooked and great vegetable accompaniments: green beans and asparagus for the scallops and a braised red cabbage slaw for the chop. The choices on the "dessert tree" were plentiful and wonderful. The service was impeccable. Our server was Sergio and he was excellent: smart, quick, pleasant and unobtrusive. He is a veteran, this is his second branch of Seasons so he's very experienced. We'll go back soon. read more

Came today for Easter Sunday brunch with a friend. Place is reasonably well kept after being around for more than a decade (someone should dust off the wood trusses and track lights - this is not just Gables, but Miracle Mike after all). I had the Shrimps & Grits, and he had the French Toast, both off the Special Easter Brunch menu only for today. Service was great, but my friend seems to be well known there, albeit our server didn't know him and still provided excellent service. The Shrimp and Grits were good, but on the light side - won't satisfy a big guy with an appetite (you'd need at least two servings) - I think they really skimped on the grits, which doesn't cost much - there should have definitely been 3 times the amount as it was only really a few spoonfuls. The shrimp was definitely bountiful although they were stark white in color vs pink, and a bit hard/overcooked - I presume overcooked was reason for the color. They were also oddly skinny longer shrimps. I'd rate this dish at a solid 4 out of 5, but needs more grits. The French Toast, came with bacon, which my friend asked for on the side (for me to eat LOL) as he's vegetarian. Bacon was good and crispy. Having said that, the bacon was the best part of that dish. I'd generously give it a 3 out of 5. While my friend loved it, I found it doughy and dry and not up par for the restaurant; And the flavors were neither typical of a French toast nor provided the kind of: 'this is different, but I like it' outcome - I would definitely skip this dish. I think it was made with challah bread. And that was that; I think most people are familiar with the place; ambiance is OK, and while place is perfectly fine, having been there when it opened 12-15 years ago, it seems like a bit of a time warp to back when. read more

I don't often have 1 star reviews, but the food and experience was quite dismal. The beet salad was okay, but the soup, espresso martini, and entree were just not good. The dessert tasted store bought. The prices were very reasonable, but it seems the quality must have suffered to offer these price points. In the past, I have had excellent service and food at this location. I am not sure if they were perhaps having a bad night? I believe we were the only people in the dining room though so it was very dark and lonely. read more

I came here for lunch the other day with a friend and it was a very nice experience! First of all, the wood grilled smell is wonderful! As soon as we were seated inside the dark, clubby interior and the server brought menus, I knew I wanted something that was wood grilled! My friend had eaten here before and said they were known for their flatbreads. I opted for a lunch special of a 1/2 flatbread (artichoke) and a soup (Tuscan bean). Friend had a wood grilled chicken salad (and good lord, my fingers typed "children" instead of "chicken", so thank heavens I read my review before posting it!). The food arrived fairly quickly and we dug in! Everything was delicious, full of smoky, umami flavor. My only disappointment was that the flatbread was really.... flat! It was almost like the thickness of a tortilla, or even a tad thinner. The toppings were chunky and bold, which made it a little difficult to eat. We ended the meal with a shared key lime dessert; the perfect little sweet ending. I had not seen my friend in quite a while and the server did not rush us out the door after our meal. We sat and chatted for quite a bit after we ate with no pressure to pay and leave. Extremely over priced. Food is not that great for these high prices . One domestic Samuel Adams 16 Oz beer is $7.50. They charge for take out like it's seat in. They need to fire the cooks for over cooking , food is served dried and cold by time you go home in a 5 minute drive. Hubby and I have been going to this restaurant for 12+ years and have always been very satisfied but not so much today. The food was not good and neither was the service. I've always asked for the Chilean sea bass as I like fish that doesn't taste fishy. Unfortunately on this occasion I was served a fishy tasting fish which was definitely not sea bass. When I made reservations I requested Mario to be our server and when we arrived were told he was off. As we've been served in the past by other servers which were very attentive we assumed it would be fine. After all these years I'm sorry to say we were very dissatisfied with the food and service. We left a 16% tip and our server came back to our table saying there was a mistake in our calculation as it was not 22% tip! I told her 16% was the correct amount we were tipping. We were flabbergasted that a server demand 22% típ! Last I checked, tipping is optional and at the discretion of the customer contingent upon service received and service did not warrant a tip over 10%. BTW...we are very good tippers if the service is good and usually leave 22%~25%. Unfortunately, we will not be going back as the food and service left us with a sour taste in our mouths. read more

Went to dinner with a group. Service was very good, very attentive to our needs. But, if you go with anyone who has food restrictions, make sure your service knows who that person is. We had chicken and pesto flatbread and mushroom flatbread. Truthfully, they fill you up! My entree was the filet mignon - looks surprisingly small, but it was just right. Cooked just right. Made a reservation through their website on yelp, and upon arrival we were quickly seated. They currently are serving their summer menu and a Miami Spice menu. We took a moment to look through the menus before making our decisions and patiently waited for our server to arrive. When our server arrived we began ordering. As we made our order our server seemed to be a bit lost. He took out his notepad and just stared at us as we were ordering, even after we finished saying what we wanted. He didn't write anything down, just stared at us while we ordered. We got the Summer Corn Soup, Caramelized Grilled Sea Scallops, Wild Caught Alaskan Salmon, and Brick-Oven Seasonal Gnocchi. The Summer Corn Soup was very delicious. It was rich and creamy and the touch of bacon and chives gave it a bit of a crunch. The contrasting textures and flavors came together in a wonderful harmony. The Caramelized Grilled Sea Scallops were tasty, however they were under seared on the bottom and over seared on top, being slightly burnt. The Wild Caught Alaskan Salmon was seared beautifully on both sides and seasoned well however, it was slightly over cooked as it wasn't moist and a bit on the dry side. The risotto and asparagus on both dishes were done beautifully. They were well seasoned and paired well with the dishes. The risotto was creamy and the rice was cooked perfectly. The asparagus had the perfect amount of crunch to them. For the summer season, the Brick-Oven Seasonal Gnocchi came with tomatoes, pesto, mozzarella, and a herbal salad. The gnocchi was chewy and pillowy and the char from the oven gave it a bit of a crunch. I did wish there were more tomatoes so that I had some with every bite. I wasn't a fan of the herb salad. Upon taking my first bite of gnocchi with the herb salad, I was overwhelmed with parsley. I wasn't able to taste any of the other components of the dish. If the herbs were chopped more finely and sprinkled all over I would have enjoyed it more. After dinner our server came to us with the dessert menu. He came out with a mini tower of desserts and began explaining each one to us, however it seemed like he didn't know what they were himself. As he presented them he would repeat what the item was in his explanation. For instance, when telling us about the Key Lime Pie he said, "This one is key lime pie, which is a key lime pie." Despite the unclear explanations we got the Key Lime Pie and the Cinnamon Crumble Cake for dessert. The Key Lime Pie was well balanced with its sweet and acidic notes and the ratio of graham crackers to cream was spot on. The Cinnamon Crumble Cake was delicious, it wasn't overly sweet and it had the perfect amount of cinnamon. However, it was a bit difficult to puncture through the cake, it wasn't has soft as I expected to be. My cousin had a layover at Miami airport and offered to buy us dinner if we came down to meet him. Our significant others chose Seasons 52. My wife and i had dined at another location and enjoyed our meals. My Sonoma Maui salad was perfectly prepared the tuna had a nice sear around the edges. I also started with their corn chowder which is rich and creamy with a sprinkling of bacon bits. The dining room faces the open kitchen and you can see your meals being prepared. Fernando, the general manager and Chris, the manager are always great and helpful with any recommendations. They recently made a slight modification that I'm not so happy with (they now make the macaroni and cheese with some weird type of provolone; no bueno). I really like Seasons 52 for elevated-casual dining in Coral Gables. Their dishes are well balanced, with a good attempt to be on the healthier side. The atmosphere is calm, and you can always bet on good conversation to be had in the table. The food itself is good and there are plenty of options for anyone who is began, vegeterian, pescatarian, or gluten free. I also like their wine selection and wine flights. They have happy hour until 6 pm which is a good deal and their dishes are well priced, which is difficult to find in this location. Service is good as well and there were never any issues asking questions or asking for extra things for our table. Overall I really enjoy Seasons 52 and will be coming back many a times in the future. PS I though the caramelized scallops were delicious and filling! The service here is always good. They are very accommodating with their menu and don't give you a hard time with small menu changes. I enjoy their salmon salad and their appetizers are great. The flatbreads are a great choice too. Kids love their kid flatbread option with regular sauce and cheese. Many love their dessert served in the 2 ounce cups. I do NOT but almost everyone loves them. We had been eyeing this restaurant every time we stopped by Miracle Mile and finally made it a point to visit. I tried their sea-bass, hubby had steak tips, and my daughter the lamb chops and almost forgot a delicious refreshing watermelon salad on their summer menu. Not sure if we actually got lamb chops though looked more like a loin. My hubby worked in the kitchen and said they don't look like what we received, but still tasted good so we didn't complain. Lol The server was very friendly and attentive to details. All our food was cooked nicely and we had a great view of the kitchen which was a super plus. Not sure if we'll be coming back though. Their pathway to the restroom had a very strange smell :(. Either dirty carpet or moldy smell. Made me doubt their cleaning and it's near their kitchen too so you'd think it was cleaner.
