What a lovely spot to enjoy coffee and breakfast while watching the sunrise and the ocean. The staff is wonderful, very friendly to both customers and the local non poisonous snake the lives in the brush next to the boardwalk. This rating is more for ambience than food but the food is good enough so why not! Beautiful setting - simply amazing little hut on the beach. Ruth, who was the bartender, was very attentive. The lunch food is better than the breakfast food IMO. The bacon was tough and eggs were just mediocre (kind of like a cheap disney resort breakfast in the lobby). But when I've gotten lunch there I've been more impressed. The mahi sandwich is usually always spot on and tastes fresh. The burgers and fries are also good. The beignets, if you are looking to indulge, are also quite tasty. All in all worth the trip. You won't regret it! read more

My husband and I came here for a quick breakfast on our way home after a weekend trip! The food was good. There was a little bit of a wait, however the staff is hard working, friendly and efficient. Tried to just buy two beers. Lady doing a comedy show behind bar and would not recognize me. She says too busy but will not ask for help. They cannot handle many patrons. I did not appreciate the way I was treated. I have been here since the 70''s and a seen the changes but she was down right mean. read more

We had lunch at the Seaside Cafe after a beach walk down to the House of Refuge....I must say we were pleasantly surprised by the whole experience! It was a beautiful day and the view is amazing. We sat at the bar and we had drinks and lunch with Kirsten waiting on us. She was cheerful and very attentive! We had the fish dip, fish tacos, Cuban sandwich and the grilled shrimp Caesar salad. Seaside Cafe is our favorite cafe in Stuart. We go there at least 4-5 times a week for everything from breakfast, coffee stop (they serve Lavazza which is my favorite), lunch and early dinner (they close at 4pm). First of all, their manager Sondra and their staff (Joelle, Amanda, Ruth, George, etc.) are absolutely wonderful. Always warm, welcoming and taking exceptional care of everyone. Second, their chefs Dan and Mark are amazing. The food is delicious and a very good quality. We love their mahi sandwich (served on a Hawaiian bun), mahi tacos, burgers, crispy bacon, waffles, omelets (my fav is their egg white florentine omelet) and beignets. Additionally, they offer specials on most weekends and they are really good. This weekend they have their shrimp and chorizo quesadillas which are yummy AND they have great mimosas! Third, you cannot beat the atmosphere with their tiki hut that covers the entire outside area so you can enjoy the beautiful views of the ocean while enjoying the shade. The cafe is pristine because of their attention to every detail. It is also very pet friendly and they have dog bowls ready and waiting for yours. We love seeing all of the dogs. We love it here and want to thank Sondra and the entire team for making Seaside Cafe a very special place for all of us to enjoy. read more

Still trying to get past the No-tipping policy; having been in the industry years ago, it's a completely new dynamic that may take some time to get used to. Shockingly, everyone here is beyond friendly. I thought without the possibility of a good tip, service would suffer. But it seams the hourly worker here is more than accommodating. Incredibly friendly staff; decent food, beautiful location and facility. Not sure how the government was able to find such awesome staff but they did! The manager, Mario, is the epitome of a truly professional hospitality manager; beyond friendly and accommodating. A HUGE thank you for everything this Thursday!! I HIGHLY recommend a visit to this establishment; I can not compare any privately owned business to the standards of this governmentally run cafe! The cafe is a hidden gem. Ruth our favorite bar tender/server always remembers us and always has a smile on her face. She's very engaging and easygoing. Makes us feel at home as soon as we sit down. The food is great. The beach view reminds us of being at a beach bar in the Bahamas. They are little dog friendly and provide a water bowl. The ambiance is fabulous on the beach and open air. The food was horrible! The fish in my sandwich was like jerky and my husband's fish tacos had a sliver of fish in each one....combined all three tacos in one and it was at best ... lacking!! We ate here for the first time yesterday. Before that, just drinks at this amazing scenic cafe. We got a French dip, mahi sandwich and burger. The French dip was super tender which is sometimes hard to find. So good. Mahi sandwich was huge and flavorful and burger was delish. Fries were kind of seasoned and excellent. Brought some family members to the Seaside Cafe today to enjoy the beautiful weather. It was our first visit. The staff was so friendly and I felt very welcome, but I feel like we must have ordered all the wrong food. I ordered the chicken sandwich and it was disappointing all around. The bun was twice the size of the very average, almost dry chicken. I typically love bacon-onion jam, but I found this one to be very weird. It didn't taste like bacon or onion, but more like a curry chutney, which might be fine but didn't go with the rest of the ingredients. The avocado was mashed, like guacamole, but without seasoning. The lettuce was limp. My guests ordered a black bean burger and a regular cheeseburger. While neither of them had specific complaints, they both said they would not order it again. All sandwiches came with an enormous portion of fries; more than we could possibly eat. I felt bad throwing away so much food. I will return to try other menu items, and I'll ask for a much smaller portion of fries. read more
