About five years ago, he installed a…read morepatio cover for me, and everything was great--until about a year ago when I noticed leaking underneath it. Naturally, I was concerned and reached out to him. He came out right away, took the time to thoroughly inspect everything, and explained in detail why he believed the patio cover itself was not the issue. He checked the slope, sealed areas to rule out seepage, and made sure nothing was being overlooked. A couple of months later, after speaking with several stucco contractors, I was told repeatedly that the patio cover had to be the problem. Feeling confused and overwhelmed, I reached back out to Dan and shared what others were saying. Even though he still believed the issue was coming from somewhere else--possibly the stucco or second-story windows--he didn't hesitate to come back out. This is where Dan truly went above and beyond. Despite not believing he was at fault, he took extra steps to help eliminate any doubt. He installed additional downspouts and full-length counter flashing, which required removing stucco, just to ensure that water could not possibly be getting in from the patio cover. This was not a small job. That level of integrity and customer care is incredibly rare. During the process, once everything was opened up, he was able to clearly show me that the real issue was faulty second-story windows--not the patio cover. He had been right all along. But what stood out the most was his attitude throughout the entire experience. Not once did he make me feel bad for questioning it or listening to other contractors. He remained patient, professional, and genuinely kind the entire time, even when it would have been easy to say "I told you so." At that point, I was feeling extremely overwhelmed between conflicting opinions and high quotes. Dan didn't stop at proving the issue--he continued to help. He guided me in the right direction, recommended the proper solution (including new construction windows instead of retrofit and elastomeric paint for the stucco), and connected me with trusted contacts to completely resolve my issue. Dan is the kind of person you hope to find but rarely do. Honest, knowledgeable, patient, and truly committed to helping his customers--even when he doesn't have to. He went far out of his way for me and my family. I'm incredibly grateful for his time, effort, and integrity. If you're considering working with him, don't hesitate. Not only does he do exceptional quality patio covers but he stands by his work, takes pride in what he does, and treats people the right way. He coordinated the crews, communicated consistently, and, most importantly, made me feel like he genuinely had my back. The demo crew did an excellent job removing the old deck quickly and efficiently, giving the project a great start. A huge thank you to Chad and Mike for the electrical and HVAC work. They went above and beyond, finding creative solutions and making sure every system worked exactly as it should. Nothing felt rushed--they took the time to get it right. The sunroom installation by Vlad and Serge was nothing short of impressive. They worked incredibly hard, completed the installation beautifully, and even stayed until 9:00 PM one evening to finish the job. Their craftsmanship and work ethic were outstanding. The concrete crew--Gabe, Miguel, and their helpers--also did beautiful work. Not only did they create a fantastic finished product, but they made the experience extra special by helping me place my dog Yuri's paw prints into the fresh concrete. That simple act created a memory I'll treasure every time I walk outside. Despite the difficult site conditions, preserving a beautiful tree, and working through the natural challenges of the property, the team found solutions every step of the way without sacrificing quality or appearance. He didn't ask us what our budget was he gave us prices line item by line item. If we wanted to cross something off to make it work within our budget we could do that. I recommend Solinsky Gardens to everyone that comments about our landscape project. They are great. My only regret is that I wish I had called them before I hired someone else to do the backyard.

I never write reviews, but David did such a great job that I felt compelled to write one. First, David replaced three very old, outdated valves. What I appreciated most was that he took the time to explain what he was doing and how the valves and solenoids work together with the controller as a system. As someone who knows very little about sprinkler systems, I really appreciated the clear explanation. Second, he installed four new sprinklers, one of which was a challenge because of the concrete surrounding the PVC piping. In addition, he replaced eight heads, six risers, and capped one sprinkler. He adjusted every single head across four stations and zones, walked me through each zone, made careful micro-adjustments, and explained how everything worked. Lastly, he left my backyard spotless and looking as good as new. I would not hesitate to work with Mark and David at First Class Irrigation again. Speaking of which, I am thinking of having them convert my sprinkler system into a low-maintenance drip irrigation system with a Rachio controller in the near future. Highly recommended!

They arrived on time every day and even worked through the weekend to make up for some lost work time due to rain. Despite having to dig up big chunks of our yard and temporarily move plants, they put everything back together perfectly. We really appreciate that they use high quality materials that will do the job better and last longer than materials purchased off the shelf at a big box hardware store. After buying our house earlier this year, I went down the YouTube rabbit hole of drainage videos--mostly because our foundation issues came from decades of poor drainage. Finding a local company willing to do the work was surprisingly hard, and when I finally did, they installed something that just wasn't built to last. I rushed that decision, and sure enough, it didn't feel right. Sometimes you just have to fix it before it becomes a bigger headache. Luckily, the trenches were still open and no landscaping was done yet, so I decided to redo everything correctly. I wanted to use the high-quality French Drain Man materials--patented, made from new materials (not recycled), and engineered to last. The challenge was finding someone who knew how to install them properly. That's when I found Brent. Turns out he's the west-coast installer who actually uses those same products--and he's just as passionate about proper drainage as the French Drain Man himself. Brent even has a YouTube channel and Instagram where he shares his projects and tips, which shows how much he cares about doing things right. From the start, Brent was responsive, professional, and easy to talk to. He called me back the same day (which never happens anymore!) and worked with me to create a plan that made sense for my property and budget. Brent mentioned that most of his projects are re-do's of failed systems installed by others--and after this experience, I totally get it. Too many people do quick fixes instead of building proper, long-term solutions. I couldn't be happier with the results or the overall experience. Dave told me that he carries only Anlin but their double pane windows with a sound package and it's so good as triple pane windows. The quote I got was very detailed and included window specifications. It was very handy for a geek like me who wanted to verify and confirm all the details. In my recearch I found that Anlin sound package windows reduced noise by 29 decibles, comparing to 30 decibels for triple pane Pella, which confirmed Dave's statement. I had some limited availabilities due to my schedule and Dave was good at meeting me half way to find a working times for the installation. On the day of the install the team worked calmly, steadily, with great attention to the detail. It's been three months so far, but I've really enjoyed the noises reduction, temperature stability, and the high definition views these new windows provide.

My first instinct was to call Blomberg since they were the original makers of this glass sliding door but Blomberg was closed so I called Dick's. Thankfully, Jay answered - he knew exactly what type of door I had and graciously got me an appointment for Wednesday afternoon which was only 2 days after the incident. All I had to do was measure the sides and he said they could replace it the same day. I couldn't believe it, I thought I'd have to live with this broken glass for much longer. He was kind enough to suggest setting a drop cloth to collect the glass incase it fell to the ground and caused a big mess so I did that the same evening.On Wednesday, Nathan (Nate) gave me a courtesy call before showing up on time and was very friendly and professional. He was ready to install the glass and realized that the border didn't match my current colors which was more of a dark brown instead of the chrome one they had in stock. I really appreciated the disclaimer because even though it was as a minor detail, it would have definitely been noticeable especially since the other side didn't match. They didn't know what color mine was because it was somewhat of an urgent request so everything was done over the phone. Nate said it would take about 1-2 weeks to get a custom order and they could come out and install it same-day. I opted to wait and he gave me the ETA as soon as got back in his van. I was worried about my glass falling and Nate offered to break it down for me and clean it up. I got to watch the whole process and it was very fascinating. It worked perfectly. A few days later it failed again, and they quickly came out to fix it. One thing led to another, and they ended up cutting/grinding 1/8th inch from the aluminum sliders at the doors bottom (the sliders that protect the rollers). It's like a new door now, and they didn't charge extra for the enhancements they made. These are good folks!

Saw this company at the home show at cal expo sacramento. They came and gave us a quote for retractable screen door for front. Ordered same time as Beginning of Covid 19. So it delayed the door. Whenever I checked status of door I would get a return call. The day before delivery they called to set time for delivery. Was very prompt on time. Installed door. We had hang up few days later. Called after hours. Wade called me right back. After days later they came and made adjustments to screen. Very pleased with this company. I would recommend them to anyone. Especially since I can be a pest. No matter how often I called they would call me back. Covid 19 did delay the door. But that was not there fault. It is the factory where the door came from. We had an excellent experience with Screen & Shade Solutions; my neighbors recommended them to me to have a heavy duty screen door made for my house. I had admired the one S & S made for them and wanted one as well. Jules Jensen came out to our house and discussed options with us; he also installed the door when it arrived (all doors are custom made). Make sure you verify that they have insurance and their workers are covered workers compensation insurance. First they need to come see it and I told Katie, I needed a new remote because the owner died and there was no remote. She wrote an estimate for 2 guys for 1.5 hrs @ $310/hr And a new remote. They decided the motor didn't work so they ordered a new one, but did not leave the remote. Then when they came back, they brought the new motor but no REMOTE! But did remove the old motor and took it and the new one with them, since they didn't have a REMOTE! When I called Katie, she called me a liar, said I never ordered a remote, even though I can prove it was on the invoice. Then Jeff called to say I hurt her feelings...it's great that he stands by his employees, but not when they are dead wrong, and I can prove it! My general contractor Christian Construction, who did all the renovations on the home, came back after the job was done, and made recommendations. I felt two general contractors were better than one. I often do this with my projects. Taryn returned and corrected the issues. It was very easy to contact Jeff, who is related to the founder. It also helps to have two civil engineers in the family! Debated whether we should go back to Home Depot/Lowe's and get our normal inexpensive blinds or go a little fancier. Decided we would get a few quotes for custom window coverings. We weren't sure if we wanted honeycomb shades, shutters, blinds or what. Found a few different companies on Yelp to meet with us and give us their opinions and ideas for what would work best in those areas. Got a few different quotes and also met with Colby at Future View Window Fashions. It was an interesting process to go through his sample books, pick out materials and then hold them up in the windows to see which ones we liked. SO MANY DIFFERENT OPTIONS! At first we thought about getting Alta brand coverings since they were less expensive than Hunter Douglas. But after looking through the sample books, there was a material in the HD book that I really liked. And of course it happened to be one of their fancier lines too. ^_^ Plus we loved the "Top Down Bottom Up" feature where you can pull the shades down from the top for extra sunlight. Fortunately Colby was able to work some numbers and give us a great price that was considerably less than other Hunter Douglas dealers in the area. (We had another company that was close to Colby's price but they happened to be on vacation during that time.) After receiving Colby's quote, we told him we would think about it. He even encouraged us to get other quotes, since he knew his prices were competitive. A few days later, he called us to see if we had any questions. We told him we decided to go for it. He was very happy to get our business and even dropped off a box of temporary shades for our windows, since we had no blinds or anything in our room. We figured the temporary shades would be on our windows for several weeks but surprisingly, our Hunter Douglas Alustra Duette shades arrived in about a week! I think even Colby was surprised they arrived so quick because he initially sent his installer to another customer, thinking our order was theirs! Installer David was great. He knew was he was doing and the installation did not take very long. We use the shades every day and have not had any issues. We like Hunter Douglas' quality and hope they last a long time. They seem to have a good "limited lifetime warranty" (though I'm a little concerned about one of Future View's reviews where the customer isn't getting help for a warranty replacement...hopefully they get that fixed soon). Had some confusion with getting texts that were going to the wrong person and some other minor issues but all in all, a great company to go with if you're looking for Hunter Douglas or Alta window coverings. Prices are lower and Colby is eager to gain your business, so definitely get a quote from Future View Window Fashions!

One of my blinds was measured incorrectly and ended up about two inches too short. Because the original order had already taken so long, I agreed to leave it alone. The salesperson assured me it would not be a problem because the blinds had a lifetime warranty and said I could call whenever I was ready to have it replaced in the correct size. I have been trying to get that replacement since February. I have repeatedly been told that a manager would call me or that my email would be forwarded to a supervisor. On February 27, I was finally told the replacement had been ordered. After I asked about the timeframe, I did not receive a response until March 3, when I was told it would take approximately three weeks. That timeframe has long passed. Despite repeated calls and emails, I have received no replacement, no meaningful update, and now no response at all. I have essentially been ghosted. My experience has been that the lifetime warranty sounds great during the sale, but actually getting the company to honor it is another story. Proceed with caution.
