Love our new Hunter Douglas Alustra Duette shades! We recently had some windows replaced. Debated whether we should go back to Home Depot/Lowe's and get our normal inexpensive blinds or go a little fancier. Decided we would get a few quotes for custom window coverings. We weren't sure if we wanted honeycomb shades, shutters, blinds or what. Found a few different companies on Yelp to meet with us and give us their opinions and ideas for what would work best in those areas. Got a few different quotes and also met with Colby at Future View Window Fashions. It was an interesting process to go through his sample books, pick out materials and then hold them up in the windows to see which ones we liked. SO MANY DIFFERENT OPTIONS! At first we thought about getting Alta brand coverings since they were less expensive than Hunter Douglas. But after looking through the sample books, there was a material in the HD book that I really liked. And of course it happened to be one of their fancier lines too. ^_^ Plus we loved the "Top Down Bottom Up" feature where you can pull the shades down from the top for extra sunlight. Fortunately Colby was able to work some numbers and give us a great price that was considerably less than other Hunter Douglas dealers in the area. (We had another company that was close to Colby's price but they happened to be on vacation during that time.) After receiving Colby's quote, we told him we would think about it. He even encouraged us to get other quotes, since he knew his prices were competitive. A few days later, he called us to see if we had any questions. We told him we decided to go for it. He was very happy to get our business and even dropped off a box of temporary shades for our windows, since we had no blinds or anything in our room. We figured the temporary shades would be on our windows for several weeks but surprisingly, our Hunter Douglas Alustra Duette shades arrived in about a week! I think even Colby was surprised they arrived so quick because he initially sent his installer to another customer, thinking our order was theirs! Installer David was great. He knew was he was doing and the installation did not take very long. We use the shades every day and have not had any issues. We like Hunter Douglas' quality and hope they last a long time. They seem to have a good "limited lifetime warranty" (though I'm a little concerned about one of Future View's reviews where the customer isn't getting help for a warranty replacement...hopefully they get that fixed soon). Had some confusion with getting texts that were going to the wrong person and some other minor issues but all in all, a great company to go with if you're looking for Hunter Douglas or Alta window coverings. Prices are lower and Colby is eager to gain your business, so definitely get a quote from Future View Window Fashions! read more

The whole process was seamless. Colby was great and easy to work with. Prices were great for a top quality product. Would definitely use again! One piece of criticism, having examples of the different types of Roman shade fold types available to look at would be good to have. Colby was amazing presenting choices and even giving us time to talk it over. Thanks! read more

I had a great experience when Future View Window Fashion was selling me their products back in 2019, but everything changed when I needed support. One of my shades needed to be replaced, so I reached out hoping to use their "limited lifetime warranty." Initially, Colby Black responded, but as soon as he realized I was requesting a warranty replacement, communication became nearly nonexistent. After several follow-ups, I received excuses about a family emergency, and then he disappeared again. I even offered to pay for a replacement if the warranty wasn't applicable, but my messages were ignored. This has been an incredibly frustrating experience. Their customer service is excellent when they're making a sale (and charging you), but when it comes to honoring warranties or helping existing customers, they completely disappear. I would not recommend this company. Save yourself the frustration and choose a reputable business that stands behind its products and provides reliable customer service. read more

Had a fantastic experience with Colby and Future View Window Fashions. He gave me a very fair price and worked with me until the specifications were exactly what I wanted/needed, then we booked the appointment and as soon as the items arrived to his warehouse they were installed at my house the next day. Installation was fast and I was super happy with how everything turned out. Highly recommend using this business if you want great results at a great price from a friendly and trustworthy team. read more

I had a great experience working with Future View Window Fashions. Colby came out to give me an estimate and the price was very reasonable. What I really appreciated was that he wasn't pushy and didn't try any sales tactics - something I really dislike. He was genuine, honest, and straightforward throughout the whole process. Just like he said, the plantation shutters arrived in a little over two weeks, and he handled the installation himself. The shutters look perfect and really elevate the space. I'm extremely happy with the quality and the service. I will definitely use them again and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for window treatments. read more

If I could provide zero stars I would. I purchased motorized roman shades for four large windows at a cost of $4,485. The shades came down within 6mo. I told the store. They came to fix twice. The shades continued to come down. The problem was that they glued the fabric to the metal motorized shade. When it was apparent that there was no fix, and no comparable alternative, Daniel Gomez offered to refund me. But that never happened and its been crickets for two years. Money down the drain. Worst experience. With all the reputable window treatment companies out there, I would stay away from this one. read more

I had an excellent experience with Colby and Dave at Future View. High quality shades at competitive prices (we compared with two other quotes from local companies). Colby was very responsive and also granted us the space we needed to properly evaluate our choices and make a sound decision. The whole buying process was stress-free. I'd recommend them highly for Sac Area residents. read more

Future View Window Fashions deserves a five-star review for their outstanding service from start to finish. The entire process was smooth, professional, and reasonably priced compared to other quotes we received. Colby was fantastic to work with--knowledgeable, responsive, and helpful in guiding us to the right window treatments for our home. When it came time for installation, Dave did an excellent job. He was punctual, meticulous, and made sure everything was installed perfectly. The final result looks great and works flawlessly. If you're looking for quality window coverings, fair pricing, and a team that truly cares about their work, I highly recommend Future View Window Fashions. read more

I recently purchased a house and it needed some work and one item on the list was new shutters. I had Colby with Future View come for a quote along with several other companies, including one I had used before from Rocklin. I let Colby know that I probably would not be making the purchase for a few months and when I was ready, they were the only company that honored the months old quote. The others all wanted more money. The process went smoothly and the finished product looks great and has done an amazing job blocking the light that was disrupting my sleep. I highly recommend Colby and the team from Future View! read more

I needed window blinds and vertical blinds installed, and the service I received from Future View Window Fashions was outstanding. From the very beginning, communication was excellent--he was quick to respond to all my questions and even took the time to guide me over the phone with advice while I was making my purchase at Home Depot. When he arrived, he was friendly, professional, and courteous. Despite having 10 blinds total to install, he completed the entire job in just over an hour. The work was done efficiently and with great attention to detail. I'm very impressed with both the speed and quality of the service. I highly recommend Future View Window Fashions to anyone looking for blinds installation--you'll be in great hands! read more

I highly recommend this company if you want a good quality product for your windows. The service was quick with no hassle with plenty of options and unique material to choose from. Since I purchased from this company, I've had nothing but issues--from the wrong size blinds to shutters that don't close properly. I regret choosing Future View Window Fashions for my shutters. I first contacted them back in February and agreed to move forward after receiving a quote. The shutters took a while to be made, which I expected, but once they arrived, the problems began. One shutter was the wrong size, and another had the wrong border. It's exhausting having to constantly text and call just to get basic information or an update on when things will be ready. I am tired of chasing them just to get any kind of response. I have tried to be nice and patient through all of this, but the lack of initiative and communication from their end has been unacceptable. By this point, I was completely worn out and honestly regretted choosing this company, especially since I had multiple quotes from other businesses and wish I had gone with one of them instead. Now, as of today (10/2025), the "new" replacement shutters still have the same issue of not closing. To make matters worse, one of my blinds broke down in September, and Colby said he would contact me once the replacement arrived--but he never did. Just like before, there's been no follow-up, no communication, and no accountability. The lack of professionalism and reliability throughout this entire process has been unacceptable. The fact that such an expensive purchase has required so many attempts to fix--and is still not right--is beyond frustrating. Unreliable and disappointing. Unfortunately, would not recommend Future View Window Fashions. read more

I purchased a new home in the Heritage Placer Vineyards 55+ community (West Roseville) and could not have selected a better person to work with than Colby!! I contacted at least two other window covering companies after Colby was referred to me, and his response time, professionalism and competitive pricing was the best option for me. When we could not access my home that was in construction, Colby agreed to meet at the model home to discuss plans for my house. Then at a later date, he met with my daughter at my house (still in construction) to get exact measurements and to finalize the colors that were best. I was was out of town, but the coordination went so smoothly and enough information was provided to me that I felt very comfortable making a final decision from "afar" in hopes of the window covering installation being completed before July 4th ... and it was! I love my shutters and honeycomb shades. I am very pleased! read more

Future View installed my shutters yesterday. I had seven windows done, including a big slider. I could not be happier. Colby was my first contact and he did the measuring and showed me all the different samples. He did not try to oversell me and I was pleasantly surprised at the fair prices. I felt very comfortable with him. He communicated multiple times with me about the delivery and installation. David installed them and was equally awesome. When he was complete, he went back through and explained how to clean them, the best way for privacy, etc. I am just so thrilled with Future View, Colby and David. I wish I had another house for them to do. read more

I loved working with Future View. Everyone I interacted with the was great. From the initial phone call when I scheduled my consultation, to setting up installation, the customer service was amazing. Sommer was so helpful during my consultation. She answered all of my questions and really helped me to make the best decision based on my wants/needs and budget. We decided on Alta roller shades. The wait time was about a month (which is what I was quoted). Tim installed the new roller shades today. He was early and was in and out of my house in a shorter amount of time than was initially quoted for the install. Tim was super friendly and answered my questions as he was installing the shades. I will absolutely pass along Future View to anyone I know who is thinking about getting new shades or blinds. read more

Unprofessional unreliable the only good thing for this company is David their installer. Corey refuses to return any of my calls. We recently had shutters installed by Future View. We had a pleasant experience working with Future View Window Fashions from first contact to day of installation. An initial apt was scheduled to discuss options, obtain measurements, etc. The estimate was subsequently emailed to us (within the same day). They were extremely professional & responsive to our follow up questions. Due to budget constraints we revised our initial estimate; options were discussed with them. An initial pmt (half of total cost) was requested to submit the work order and the final payment due the day of the installation. It took about 3 months from the time we made the initial payment to installation. Shutters look great! We would certainly use them again. read more

The design center is located off of Vernon St in Roseville. I recently purchased a home where I needed window coverings installed and we were referred to Future View from our Realtor. Danny, the owner, came out to our home to take measurements of each window. Their options are very affordable and they have a large variety of styles for each type of window. Our kitchen window is a little shallow and so he advised for us to go with an accordion-like window covering. I was very hesitant at first, but the final installation looks amazing! I absolutely love easily the window covering can be pushed up or pulled down pulled down in the kitchen. In the bedrooms, we can now press a button where you can press to open/close the blinds and no longer need to mess with with a string that eventually snaps or can even strangle a small child! Wow! So awesome! The technology for window coverings rocks! Danny is amazing and his prices are extremely reasonable. We are so happy that our realtor recommended him for window coverings! read more
