We bought a new house last year and would get the key around the end of March 2025. I started looking for window covering contractors in Yelp.com since I found an excellent HVAC contractor (A Cool Air) before from this web site. I only read those contractors with at least 4.5-star review rating. Jackyre's Drapery is one of those. I read every review (over 100) before we dropped by Jackye's show room. First impression about Sean is very positive. He is very knowledge and not pushy. He gave us some good idea about different window coverings. We are particularly interested in the "Hunter Douglas motorized pirouette window shadings". Sean impressed us with the demonstration of this particular product. We end up having this for 7 of 11 windows. The other 4 windows are having Norman shutters. We also used "Graber custom drapery" for all the windows with pirouette and backyard sliding door. We also checked out Costco recommended window covering contractor and 2 other window covering contractors. Jackye's pricing is the best among these 4 companies. Sean came to our new house in early April, 2025. We discussed all the details about how we wanted to do the Graber drapery for each window with pirouette and the backyard sliding door. We picked our color and material for the finishing products. He also did all the measurements. After we agreed on the pricing, Sean set up an initial installation date. Before the window project was started, Jackye's placed temporary window covering for us. This is extremely helpful for a brand-new house. Installation was done in 2 phases since Graber custom drapery took longer time to complete its order. Scott is the main installer, along with Steven who is his helper. Scott and Steven are very detailed-oriented and professional during the entire installation process. They clean up the area after the work is done. Scott and Steven ended up coming to our new house for the 3rd time to install the metal wands for all the draperies. To conclude, we are extremely happy with the entire experience, from initial visit to the show room to the completion of the project. We really like the motorized pirouettes since we can set up different schedules (for each window) for their opening and closing. I promised Sean that I will write a very detailed review for our experience. I finally did it since we had 3 overseas trips after the window covering project was done in late June. His company and the staff involved deserve an excellent review from their happy customers. I have already recommended Jackye's to several new neighbors. I will continue to recommend this company to all my local friends and relatives who need an honest and professional window covering contractor. What a nice experience to work with this team! I love supporting family owned businesses. We recently bought a home that had dark shutters and blinds in our family room. I wanted to be able to see the sky and let the light in! I worked with Sean to make selections and narrowed it down to what would work with the existing window coverings but make changes to accomplish my goals. We removed a dark shutter that covered half of the patio door and replaced it with vertical blinds because I wanted to have maximum flexibility for opening or closing the blinds. We removed 5 dark shades that I could not reach to open, and replaced them with motorized Hunter Douglas shades that I can control with an app on my phone or a remote control. When the batteries need charging (battery life about 9 months), there is an extension pole with a magnet that I can easily attach and plug in for charging. What a difference these changes made! I am thrilled. The entire process from quote to selection to installation was extremely well thought out and professional. I worked with Sean for quotes and selection, Scott for installation (and his younger brother who was also so polite and helpful), and Ravana for contracts and scheduling. We are so pleased that we called Jackyes Drapery when we needed to update our window treatments in our living and family rooms. Sean came to our home and showed us a couple of options for our sliding doors. We were replacing old vinyl vertical blinds and thought we might do that again but Sean also showed us the Norman SmartDrapes and after careful consideration we went with the SmartDrapes. We didn't even know this type of window covering existed and it is far better than the vinyl blinds we replaced. The beautiful headrail adds elegance and the blinds are quiet, but they act like vertical blinds. And washable! Also having the filtered view to the outdoors is a plus. For our front windows we wanted the cellular blinds that can be pulled from the top down or the bottom up. Sean showed us several options and the blinds are perfect for our front window. Being able to pull the blinds from the top down has reduced our dog from barking at people walking by. And we still get the view out the windows. We had a quote from another company before calling Jackyes Drapery and Jackyes Drapery's prices were better. And to top it all off the installers Scott and Steven were amazing!
