Four 4 Egg Omelet and Don't Call It...Corned Beef Hash
    Madi S.

We got the four egg omelette with peppers, onions, spinach, and cheddar as well as the corned beef hash, coffee, and OJ. GREAT classic breakfast spot, the corned beef hash had large pieces of meat. The portions were very generous, ended up taking food home. Would definitely go back, staff was warm and welcoming as well!

Our food was delicious! We got the banana and bourbon caramel bread pudding French toast, home fries, and the huge compassion burrito. The home fries were perfectly crispy, the pork belly bacon was thick and well done. There are about a dozen tables. It's a wide open room, basic diner look, some wall hangings that had their name printed. The service was quick and efficient. We loved our food and will definitely return to check out the other menu items!

This place was really great! A friend of mine got the corned beef hash which you let me try and the corn beef was amazing as they do it in House. The home fries or potatoes or the star of the show on both this and the breakfast sandwich that my other friend got. These potatoes were deep-fried super crispy on the outside and tender and perfect on the inside. I probably would go to this restaurant for these fried potatoes alone! I got the corn beef for egg omelette with a side of chimichurri aïoli. I honestly liked the corned beef hash that my friend let me try better even though I had corn beef in my omelette. It just seemed a little bit, not as tender in the omelette And the omelette lacked flavor, but I did use their ketchup, salt and pepper. I believe their ketchup was homemade. All in all, a solid experience. Will definitely be back!

I have been to Scratch a couple different times and I really do love having such a nice breakfast spot nearby that offers unique menu items and is filled with friendly people! If I could do half stars this place would for sure be a 4.5/5 stars. The food here is always nice and hot and very large portion sizes. their home fries are big chunks of crispy potatoes, and I LOVE THEM. I love that their menu has traditional and non-traditional breakfast items. It is a bit pricy but you definitely get a lot of food, the compassion burrito is MASSIVE. All the food was delish, I wish the pork belly was not so hard it was a bit too crispy but good flavor. I love that their ketchup and hot sauce is homemade, the verde sauce is definitely my favorite. The place is small so just expect a wait as they get busy, and it can get pretty loud in there with it being tiny. The workers are always very very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu which is helpful. Definitely drop in this place and give it a go, they have some awesome flavors and sweet and savory options, so you are sure to find something you like. I definitely recommend the chorizo hash, it is my favorite for sure and best flavor out of a dish I have had there but it is a bit spicy!

Scratch has been doing the damn thing for years. The tiramisu pancakes always exceed my expectations as due their homemade sausage patties. Service is great. Can be a little loud. Be sure to check their hours!

If I lived here I would eat here every day and die fat and happy. First visit I got the Eggs Benedict. I'd commit a misdemeanor to have it again. Second visit I got the Jalapeño Bacon Jam breakfast sammy. I'd commit a felony for it. Third visit I got the Compassion Burrito...I know run an international crime organization to fund my lifestyle.

Banana & Bourbon Caramel Pudding French Toast 2 Eggs Any Style

Hidden gem brunch spot in Independence. Interior is a bit small but we were able to get a table with a 15 minute wait. They text you when a table is ready so you can walk around the area while you wait. The interior is modern farmhouse style decor and, as a bonus, there's a chalkboard with chalk you can draw on! The food was INCREDIBLE, save for the fact they don't offer poached eggs. But their over easy eggs were perfect, and the bread pudding French toast was a unique and delightful addition to breakfast. The cinnamon roll waffle and chicken breakfast tacos are great as well!

Can't believe I've been a mile away from this place and never tried it. Amazing homemade food. Friendly staff. Cozy dining experience. This was a home run! At least someone in this town can hit one, as the Guardians seem to be in a funk right now... this place will at least make you feel better and full of amazing food! Run, don't walk here! French toast was amazing to look at as my friend had that and didn't share!

    Chicken Tacos

We stopped in on a Friday around noon on our way to Cleveland. I knew I was in for a great meal as soon as I walked in. Friendly hardworking staff, patrons that seem like regulars, and an open kitchen. I ordered the chicken tacos and wife ordered the steak and egg bagel (she loved it). I can't describe how good those tacos were. To be honest I was a little skeptical when they were 15 dollars. They were worth every penny. The time and care the kitchen puts into that food makes it worth it. I left full and happy!

Some of the best breakfast I've had in a long time. Wait staff was phenomenal. Educated, witty, energetic, attentive. My service was just as good as the food. This burrito was tremendous. Has to be on some sort of list ... perhaps a national treasure? Race here immediately to get your fix. It's a perfect breakfast cafe.

    Biscuits and gravy!

We will be back! Had a wonderful breakfast there! They have a sweet and savory menu. So hard to decide! We ordered the burrito and the biscuits and gravy. Both were delicious! The potatoes were the best I have had! Next time I'm ordering from the sweet side or getting the overnight oats! The service was great too! Thank you!!!

    Chicken salad - tasty!

I first went to Scratch at its previous location around the corner and had a wonderful pancake. Then I lost track of it. So happy to see this place is still thriving. Are there at Noon on a Thursday and it was packed. And noisy! So it you enjoy being in a lively place, this is your spot. I do wonder if the 1:30p close keeps folks away. Even an extra half hour might be helpful. I was curious to see how a lunch item would taste, since they clearly focus on breakfast. My salad was SO full of flavor! Yum. Barely even needed dressing; the chicken was seasoned to perfection. Can't wait to visit again and get another huge pancake.

I can see why no one else was in the restaurant when we were even though it was dinner time on a Friday. The lady taking our order answered her freaking phone in the middle of my order so I just had to stand there and wait. Wtf? The kitchen and prep area was messy and food scraps were everywhere. The soups all had a film on them too. I got the half turkey bacon club and a tiny cup of chili in the you pick two "deal." (LOL this ain't no deal!). The soup was way too hot. They need to turn down the burners. The sandwich was okay - probably one of the best options on their menu. The bread was quite good. However, they also didn't add mustard to my sandwich like I had asked for. There definitely was a language barrier, but I mean, come on. At least try to be nice to me! The price for what we got was outstandingly bad. It was even worse than Panera! I guess I would rate this Zeats location a 3.5 for food and 1.5 for service. On the bright side, I still had room in my stomach to get popcorn at the theater afterwards...

I downloaded their app, placed an order for a scheduled time, and it was ready when I got there. I went with the prime rib steak and cheese. Everything was cooked as it should have been. I took my father there on Sunday April 19th at 5pm. Before I get started with the negative, I would like the manager of this location to know that they are very lucky to have Maddy as an employee. Now for the bad: when we walked in, at least four tables were filthy. Three tables had their chairs up like they were getting ready to close and there were three dirty tables in the back. We sat at the only clean table. The employee named Katy should no longer be working there. I don't know how anybody gets paid to be that rude to people. She didn't smile she didn't say hello when I told her I didn't come there often she wasn't helpful. I only ordered two sandwiches and drinks. It was a low maintenance order and she literally made me feel bad for making her take the time to wait on me. It was a horrible customer experience. While I was there, some guy came in who had gone home and come back because he was given the wrong sandwich. I didn't hear her apologize once. I took a picture and it's posted on this website of the overflowing trash area. The picture that I posted doesn't include our trash. I had to put our trash on top of the pile of trash. The place was a mess. I will say there is potential in the employee name Maddy she was super excited about the company and how they keep things fresh. She was excited to talk about the company and seemed proud. To the management, this place needs one heck of a makeover in every sense of the word

Gluten-free rolls available!…read more DiBella's Subs is located in close proximity to the Corporate Plaza (Independence business district) and local hotel cluster (3 minute drive). There is plenty of parking in the plaza. My company used to frequently order catering from this location. And so, I decided to try something familiar while in the area. This was my first time at their physical location. Deli Feel: The deli has NYC deli feel - subway tiles and vintage deli art. Think a nice Italian elevated deli. It doesn't seem that there is A/C at this location or at least it's not running at its capacity. There were ceiling fans operating but on a hot summer day it was toasty. The restaurant offers tables and booths. I observed that most guests found themselves comfortable in booths. Around 1 PM on a weekday there was a steady crowd dining in and ordering takeout. Ordering: Your order is placed and picked up at the back counter. Signage is a bit disorienting. Think Penn Station type layout. You can also pre-order online. My order was ready quickly. I observed that other guests had to wait awhile. Orders were not called in the numerical order. If you have a large or complex order or are pressed for time, I recommend exploring online ordering. Menu: DiBella's menu is straightforward - subs, mini meals (5" small sub + side + drink), salads, drinks, sides and sweets. They conveniently highlight seasonal menu and top sellers on their menu. Best seller subs are Godfather, Turkey, and Cheesesteaks. DiBella's Subs are known for their old-fashioned submarines. They have in-house bakery, bake their own bread. They also market Grandma DiBella's cookies. While placing an order online or in person, you can choose your bread, cheese, and topping options. Gluten free menu items are available for all subs. My Order: I ordered 10" DiBella's BLT on sesame bread with American cheese for $11.39. The bread was very fresh and impressed me. The ingredients weren't notable - bacon was burned and clearly lower grade, cheese and veggies were just okay. I wouldn't say that the sandwich was heavy on fillings. The sub was fine, definitely not the best BLT in my lifetime. Customer Service: Customer service was condescending. The employee at checkout made visible unpleasant faces at customers. Questions were not well received from all customers during my visit. Questions were mainly order and menu related. Once it was my turn, I did not know where to look for bread and cheese options as a first timer. The menu was pointed out to me in a very impudent manner. It was really disappointing to witness interactions between customers and employees. Upon exit, I observed another employee returning to work looking very displeased. Hopefully bad service is not part of everyday culture. Catering: My company used to order catering from DiBella's. Orders were always efficient and right. Everyone considered the subs just alright. Bread wasn't as fresh as I've experienced at their location. Overall, it's a fine spot for a casual lunch if you're in the area. Good for catering if you want to treat your staff to something simple. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here.
