The large Italian beef was indeed large (I should have ordered the regular; the large is more than any one person should eat) and packed with beef. The portion of fries was big, too. Quick service. Took only a few minutes to get my order. Minuses: While there was a lot of beef, the spicy giardinera was on the skimpy side. Traditionally, that would be piled high and falling off; this was not much and buried inside. The fries were limp; a few seemed not quite cooked through. My first bite into the beef puzzled me. It was mushy. This continued throughout the sandwich. From the pinkish hue of some of the beef, I'm guessing this might be due to being cooked less than I'm used to? In any case, it was disconcerting. And the jus was much plainer than I'm used to, as well. I expected to see flecks of oregano and other spices; this version was darker and seemed to be lacking those. It may be unfair to compare this to my expectations. Maybe, if you're new to Italian beef, you might enjoy this. But if you're looking for a Buona / Mr. Beef / Portillo's experience, you won't find it here.

Au Jus is a casual eatery that specializes in authentic Chicago-style Italian beef sandwiches. I…read moreheard all about this place on social media. Finally decided to stop in when I was driving by and noticed "open late" sign. AMBIANCE: Simple cafe with minimal decor. White walls and digital menus. Faux marble wrap around bar and a few chairs are available to dine in. All guests were picking up to go orders during my visit. FOOD: The menu is straightforward. It was easy to review it during first visit and make quick decisions. There are multiple categories including Italian beef sandwiches, sausage sandwiches, pressed sandwiches, and sides. I ordered Philly sandwich ($13), fresh cut fries ($4.25), and two Italian beef egg rolls ($5). I ordered Philly sandwich since it's a classic and I felt like it would be the best choice. The meat tasted high quality. Unfortunately, I did not like any dishes. Meat in Philly sandwich was bland and could use more seasoning. It seemed like something was missing - cheese or something like mayo or other ingredients. It was literally bread and meat. The price for the size did not seem like good value. Italian beef egg rolls were dry both exterior shell and meat. The fries were a bit soggy but included a generous portion. I didn't eat much of my meal. Perhaps other menu items are tastier. The cafe has rewards program through Toast. You receive sign up 25 bonus points then 1 point for every $1.25 spent. Although my points did not calculate accurately, less points were provided. SERVICE: I didn't feel especially welcome and was rushed. The service was very quick, order was available in minutes. It was very impressive. This eatery is a good destination if you're craving quickly served sandwiches. It's especially true later in the day or on weekends when most businesses in Parma open early. I didn't find any favorite menu items but you might!

Gluten-free rolls available!…read more DiBella's Subs is located in close proximity to the Corporate Plaza (Independence business district) and local hotel cluster (3 minute drive). There is plenty of parking in the plaza. My company used to frequently order catering from this location. And so, I decided to try something familiar while in the area. This was my first time at their physical location. Deli Feel: The deli has NYC deli feel - subway tiles and vintage deli art. Think a nice Italian elevated deli. It doesn't seem that there is A/C at this location or at least it's not running at its capacity. There were ceiling fans operating but on a hot summer day it was toasty. The restaurant offers tables and booths. I observed that most guests found themselves comfortable in booths. Around 1 PM on a weekday there was a steady crowd dining in and ordering takeout. Ordering: Your order is placed and picked up at the back counter. Signage is a bit disorienting. Think Penn Station type layout. You can also pre-order online. My order was ready quickly. I observed that other guests had to wait awhile. Orders were not called in the numerical order. If you have a large or complex order or are pressed for time, I recommend exploring online ordering. Menu: DiBella's menu is straightforward - subs, mini meals (5" small sub + side + drink), salads, drinks, sides and sweets. They conveniently highlight seasonal menu and top sellers on their menu. Best seller subs are Godfather, Turkey, and Cheesesteaks. DiBella's Subs are known for their old-fashioned submarines. They have in-house bakery, bake their own bread. They also market Grandma DiBella's cookies. While placing an order online or in person, you can choose your bread, cheese, and topping options. Gluten free menu items are available for all subs. My Order: I ordered 10" DiBella's BLT on sesame bread with American cheese for $11.39. The bread was very fresh and impressed me. The ingredients weren't notable - bacon was burned and clearly lower grade, cheese and veggies were just okay. I wouldn't say that the sandwich was heavy on fillings. The sub was fine, definitely not the best BLT in my lifetime. Customer Service: Customer service was condescending. The employee at checkout made visible unpleasant faces at customers. Questions were not well received from all customers during my visit. Questions were mainly order and menu related. Once it was my turn, I did not know where to look for bread and cheese options as a first timer. The menu was pointed out to me in a very impudent manner. It was really disappointing to witness interactions between customers and employees. Upon exit, I observed another employee returning to work looking very displeased. Hopefully bad service is not part of everyday culture. Catering: My company used to order catering from DiBella's. Orders were always efficient and right. Everyone considered the subs just alright. Bread wasn't as fresh as I've experienced at their location. Overall, it's a fine spot for a casual lunch if you're in the area. Good for catering if you want to treat your staff to something simple. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here.

I downloaded their app, placed an order for a scheduled time, and it was ready when I got there. I went with the prime rib steak and cheese. Everything was cooked as it should have been. I thought the bread tasted fresher than a typical Subway sandwich. Chips were good. My only complaint was they gave me a bottle of Diet Coke instead of regular and I didn't notice until on the road. Yuk.. but I supposed it was better for me healthwise. Lol. This was my first visit to any Potbelly and I was impressed. I'll eat here again when I'm in the area. I took my father there on Sunday April 19th at 5pm. Before I get started with the negative, I would like the manager of this location to know that they are very lucky to have Maddy as an employee. Now for the bad: when we walked in, at least four tables were filthy. Three tables had their chairs up like they were getting ready to close and there were three dirty tables in the back. We sat at the only clean table. The employee named Katy should no longer be working there. I don't know how anybody gets paid to be that rude to people. She didn't smile she didn't say hello when I told her I didn't come there often she wasn't helpful. I only ordered two sandwiches and drinks. It was a low maintenance order and she literally made me feel bad for making her take the time to wait on me. It was a horrible customer experience. While I was there, some guy came in who had gone home and come back because he was given the wrong sandwich. I didn't hear her apologize once. I took a picture and it's posted on this website of the overflowing trash area. The picture that I posted doesn't include our trash. I had to put our trash on top of the pile of trash. The place was a mess. I will say there is potential in the employee name Maddy she was super excited about the company and how they keep things fresh. She was excited to talk about the company and seemed proud. To the management, this place needs one heck of a makeover in every sense of the word

Walked in wanting takeout and glad I wasn't staying to eat in: the acoustics in there are horrible. Even with only two dining in, the sound was not conducive to conversation at all. Staff was very friendly and the order came together quickly. Nice touch offering a free sweet tea while I waited. The wings were meaty and charred. Flavorful, but sure wish they were fried longer. I hate trying to chew flaccid chicken skin. You get your sauces on the side here. Blue cheese rated fine. Two hot sauces had the requisite heat, but lacked flavor. Their version of buffalo was more vinegary with no resemblance to traditional Frank's RedHot. Sides included a tasty apple slaw and a very beany chili. I wish the serving size was larger for 5 bucks, but I won't fret over it. Nice beer selection, but other than one cheap offering (pumpkin ale...yuck) they ranged from 6.50 to 8 bucks for 12 ounce cans. Less costly options should be explored. Overall an okay experience...not dying to rush back.

We were told right off the bat that there was no cod or pierogies anymore, so we all ordered the salmon. The restaurant was really busy, so It took about an hour for the food to get made even though we were quoted 30 min. I was so hungry that I ended up ordering a lemonade to keep up my blood sugar and it tasted like rancid lemons or something! It was really sour. people who came in after us got cod which was really frustrating since we were told they were out for the night. For the food, we really enjoyed the fried salmon and the fries and slaw. We were enjoying the onion rings until we found a sticker in the onion ring within the battered part. It was really gross so we ended up not eating the rest. While we love the restaurant we will definitely not be going back to this location

I met a friend for breakfast this morning, and everything from start to finish was spot on. I ordered the Sweet Jalapeño Sandwich: an English muffin piled with jam, bacon, an egg cooked over medium, and cheddar, served with home fries. It was the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and just a little kick. My friend stuck with her usual: the Banana & Bourbon Caramel Bread Pudding French Toast, topped with fresh bananas and their homemade bourbon caramel sauce, plus a side of pork belly. It looked incredible and, according to her, tasted just as good as it always does. We arrived just a few minutes after they opened at 8:00 and were seated right away. The service was friendly, attentive, and very prompt without feeling rushed. Scratch has such a great casual, local diner feel, but with a menu that's anything but ordinary. The portions are generous, the flavors are unique, and the quality is consistently excellent. Definitely a go-to spot for breakfast or brunch...you really can't go wrong here.

White walls, glass windows in front, a few things hung on the walls. Not fancy, but pleasant. Very clean. The food is phenomenal. I've been dreaming about their biscuits and gravy since my last visit. Still perfect. The home fry-style potatoes are what a lot of places try to serve but fail at miserably. They are crispy AND fluffy! Yum! My scrambled eggs were not at all greasy or oily. My iced tea was delicious and refreshing. My lovely wife had the chorizo hash, which I tried. Oh, my. So good. And the chipotle crema on top was just perfect. They have excellent diner coffee here as well. My service experience was immaculate the first time and just OK today. He was fine initially, but I feel like he kind of forgot about us after he checked on our food. We were stuck way in the back. Maybe he was on a break, which is fine. I spent time as a waiter in two different restaurants, so I'm sympathetic, but I did not get a drink refill, and I wanted one pretty badly. This is one of my favorite breakfast spots, and it feels like a hidden gem.
