Updated menu!

Haim and his daughters are the nicest people you will ever meet. The food is absolutely incredible, fresh, and prepared with so much attention and care. They play great soft music in the background, and it's very low key. Try the shakshuka, it's amazing. But also so is the entire menu. This is our favorite place in VA Beach, we come here every year when we visit. Thank you Haim/Alex/Tori/Danielle!!!

Gyro. Sorry, I had one already.

Good day, Virginia Beach! (Skip for food review) After reading the reviews, I'm honestly shocked at the amount of impatience diners that want everything fast. If you come to this place for the atmosphere, it ain't here...yet. Hopefully with the help of this review, we can get it there. However. THE FOOD IS TO DIE FOR. From what I have been told, it's one man's heart and soul into every dish. Family ran, I think, and very friendly. Alright, the food! I had the gyro, falafel, home made hummus, and crab dip. I'll write this, list form. The gyro is incredibly flavorful and equally as balanced. This is not your typical Gyro. It's packed tight with the lamb cooked to perfection, and well mixed with the lettuce, tomato's, and sautéed onions with a cohesive helping of Tzatziki sauce that sent me back to my seat to take a moment of reflection. Too good! The falafel is well packed and moist that allows the outside to be held together as it you held a longtime friend. Firm, crisp, and with love. The inside is warm, tender, flavorful, and fluffy! Great color that yells "I was made this morning." Unknown if this is the practice but it might as well be. The hummus is smooth, silky and with the perfect amount of grain that leaves texture eaters into a soothing calm and gets right back to the next bite! The crab dip. The CRAB DIP. Warm, flavorful...yeah, all of the above. Presentation could be better, but I don't care! This dip is an amazing appetizer! Now for the sides. The pita. Handmade, soft, comforting, warm...I'm sad the food was finished. The rice. Amazing. Perfectly cooked, seasoned to perfection. I feel like I'm home...but I'm Mexican! Not Mediterranean at all. Overall, I'm appalled that no one was here with me to experience this man's cooking. Well, the wife was but I came back a second time and will for sure come back 3,4, 7 times. This is the place to be!

Scrambled Burger with mushrooms, fried onions and a fried egg. So good!

If you want seriously delicious food that's high quality, you need to eat here. Maybe you'll eat every meal here your whole trip! We happened to try this restaurant because it was near us and we needed outdoor seating because of our dog. The people coming out told us it was really good food. I had the French toast with eggs & sausage. OMG. Homemade challah bread, absolutely delicious. The sausage was homemade, really nice seasoning. And for some reason these were the best scrambled eggs I've ever had. My husband had the Mexi Omelet. It was evident everything was freshly diced and it was tasty. I'm not kidding it was so good we came back for dinner! Chaim, the owner is so friendly and hospitable! He remembered us and treated us like family. How's that for good service?! We were made to feel really comfortable. It's a cozy place. So dinner: the best fries I've ever had in my life! And the Scrambled Burger. Totally scrumptious, and I'm picky! Thank you, Scrambled for making our trip to Va Beach so much better than it would be without it!

I arrived here around 10:15am on a Saturday morning with my sons. It was pretty empty. I opted to sit outside as we just left the beach and were a little sandy, lol. Most of the chairs are rusty, due to the metal and the rain, I assume. They did have 3 chairs with cushions, which we sat in. We ordered around 10:20am. We all got "the flop" which is 2 pancakes, eggs, and bacon or sausage. Toppings are $1.50 extra. My boys got chocolate chips and I got blueberry. The food came at 10:31am. It was hot, fresh, and Delicious. The pancakes, in my opinion, were average. No complaints but not one of the best I've had. The bacon was perfectly crispy. We were given a basket that has syrup, ketchup, butter, and other condiments. We were also given hot sauce, salt, and pepper. The waitress was friendly. She was the only one present. They do have drink and food specials as well. Overall, great experience. We ordered, ate, and left in under an hour. It was in a convenient location as well as it was in between the oceanfront and our hotel on Pacific Ave. I would return!

Mediterranean Omelet

Stopped by for a quick breakfast and was not disappointed. Menu feature breakfast classics as well as specialty dishes. Service was friendly and fast. Not a wide selection of mimosas but there is a bar so you can pretty much get anything. The food tasted home made and I will be coming back to grab some more!

Ambiance

We loved everything about this restaurant- food was excellent, service was very warm and inviting, and a lovely ambiance. The photos and plants, and music made us feel at home. I enjoyed the French toast and crispy potatoes and my husband had shakshuka, which came with salad and pita. There are lots of vegetarian options on the menu. The owner was very friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back the next time we come to the beach.

Coffee was great Food was okay. Couldn't cut the pancakes. They might want to change their dough. Cute little place though

I'm happy we stopped in. I love supporting mom/ pop businesses. The owner greeted us and very personable. Our waitress was nice and attentive as well. The food tasted like it was home cooked and not commercialized. The ambiance was cool, music wasn't too loud but cool summer vibes.

The Service was quick, friendly, and the staff knew what they were serving. And the food was delicious, my mother got similar scrambled eggs, and I got a crab Benedict. The ambience was amazing too nice and homey.

Before I get into the review of food, it's important that everyone knows that this is NOT just a breakfast place. They serve lunch, dinner and have a bar. Don't be fooled by the name Scrambled. Come here for the food and service not the ambience. Is it run down? Yes. But look past that and enjoy the delicious food with a mediterranean flair. It's owned and run by a father and daughter duo. My friend already knew him because she goes so often but he greeted me like family. I have no doubt he will remember me and greet me like family every time. I literally felt like I was in his house and he was cooking for me. It was a 1 man show on a Tuesday night. I started with the hummus plate and ended with a gyro. The hummus and the pita were so good!!! The pita was warm and soft and fluffy.....loved it. The gyro was packed full of goodness!!! It came with a side and I chose a pasta salad. I could not finish it all and took some of it home. They also have something on the menu called Beach Bags and it is food to go for the beach. Love it and very clever. I will definitely be back.....check out this local restaurant for the delicious food and wonderful service and friendliness.

Shakshuka

First time here and had a good experience! Went on a snow day so it was quiet - just us and a few other customers. We met the owner who is passionate and down to earth. He was willing to explain everything on the menu and how it's made. The shakshuka tasted great and it was ready quickly.

Avocado toast side of FRESH fruit (pineapple) , Rise & Shine breakfast with a side of Challah French Toast.

This restaurant is a hidden gem!!! I mean the service to the food is 5 stars! Immediately upon arrival we were greeted by the owner and his daughter, two incredible people! The owner is so personable! I asked about the vegan options and he let me know anything on the menu can be made vegan or without dairy in my case. BECAUSE everything is freshly made in house. No packaged food, no frozen food, no BS. I will definitely be coming back!

"The Flip": Chullah bread French Toast, eggs, and bacon! Yum!!

Not good at all, very bland food, only reason I gave it 2 stars is because the fries were ok.

We went on a Friday for happy hour which ran until 7pm. We sat outside since it was a beautiful day and they have ample outdoor seating. Only slightly disappointed they didn't have any cocktails on the happy hour menu. Ended up trying a Pina Colada and The CP's which tasted like peach and raspberry which was sweeter than I thought it would be, probably won't be ordering again. The highlight for me was the mussel bowl. It was so delicious and the garlic bread that it came with perfectly soaked up the juices. The shrimp were pretty good as well and give a decent amount for happy hour. The service was pretty good. It started getting busier as to be expected and took a little bit longer to get our checks. I would come back though especially for the mussels.

Startled the crap out of me. I almost turned around and walked next door for pizza, but I decided to set my anxiety aside and stay. Glad I did, because the longer I sat there, the more welcomed I felt. Sometimes you just gotta not let your anxiety win and give your nervous system time to settle down. And the bar tenders were very kind and warm the entire time. And also very polite. I've never been called "miss" or "ma'am" so much in my life. I guess I'm an auntie now... I got a planters punch drink and the capone burger. The drink was nice, fruity and a little sweet but not too sweet. When I saw how big the bigger patty was, I kinda got disappointed because I don't typically like big burgers like that. (Btw, I checked Yelp before deciding to eat here and saw how big the patties were in the pics...and still got nervous about it like I didn't know beforehand what I was getting myself into. Make that make sense.) When I bit into it, I actually started laughing. Like, outloud. Not maniacally, but just to myself in my little corner of the bar, because it was so good. Juicy, flavorful, not too big AT ALL even though I had to unhinge a part of my jaw to get a proper bite. The flavor ran through the entire burger. And the toppings honestly just complemented it so well. I usually like a ton of toppings, but it was nice to have a burger where the meat alone was just that good...I didn't want more toppings than what they gave because I wanted to taste that patty. But the bit of pesto, the crispy, thin slice of parm tomato, the splash of balsamic glaze. It was just really good. Thanks for a wonderful, tasty evening, gentlemen.

She immediately took us to our table gave us our menus. The restaurant was quite crowded that day so I did take a take a little long for our waiter to come, but once you arrived, it was smooth selling from there once I arrive she went over the menu asked if we have been here before which we have she told us to catch of the day. She also gave recommendations for different drinks that we could try. If we were interested. I decided to try a tropical sunrise which was tequila, orange juice, and grenadine and once we got our drinks, we decide the place order for appetizers for appetizers. I ordered the oyster Rockefeller. It was very delicious. Had great flavor cooked perfectly had a lot of cheese and cilantro on top which I really enjoyed. For our courses, my mom ordered the salmon with potatoes. My dad ordered the rotisserie chicken which came with broccolini and also potatoes and I ordered the Cajun shrimp pasta, which was shrimp, pasta, peppers, and some type of Cajun sauce. It was a great dinner. The ambience was great as always soon as you walk in you can see the whole restaurant from the entrance you're able to see the fresh fish on the right side of the restaurant. You're also able to depend on where you sit can see the ocean. They also have outdoor seating which includes a fire pits that you can oversee the Neptune statue or you can sit on the patio that's facing the ocean so they have a various seating options that are great. They also used to have a Alisha restaurant which is a steakhouse. I did ask the host about that. Unfortunately they got rid of the steakhouse, but it is still listed as being a restaurant at the Hilton oceanfront offer so if I had to give an improvement I would tell them to maybe maybe remove that advertisement as it's no longer offered however, overall it was a great time. I really suggest that you visit this restaurant if you were in the Virginia oceanfront area they have a lot to offer. The food is great. The people are very friendly and you won't be disappointed.
