More dead links....

A miserable bbq dinner was picked up here!!! $100.00 out the window! Look at the pictures and you be the judge. Cooking was done to until the ingredients died. The fat seemed to have some meat attached but not much. Salty and dry ... I'd be embarrassed if I'd cooked this. The pit master should be run out of town! No interaction when they were contacted. You should have the HONOR to make good on this!!!!!!

Love this place. The brisket and pulled pork are delicious. The brisket with fries and queso is a crowd-pleaser. You can bring your dog and sit outside on the patio.

Brisket Caesar salad sub chicken.

I'm actually really sad about leaving this review. This place used to be incredible. large serving sizes, Excellent food but since they've hit their new location, it seems everything is gone Downhill. portion sizes are very sad and pathetic and quality Has drastically decreased. I used to order from them a few times a week at their old location and now I probably will not order from here again. This is my $15 brisket Caesar salad substitute for chicken (chicken was SO dry). And it is meager. It is so small and for $15 I could make a family size chicken Caesar salad that's literally the same quality. Super unfortunate and it makes me really sad. I was hopeful they'd made their epic comeback only to be entirely disappointed.

Trooper Tri-Tip Sandwich onion rings Mac & queso, chicken sandwich

We planned our dinner to coincide with Scouts Honor and it was great. We ordered the tri-tip sandwich with Mac and queso, and the chicken club with onion rings. The brioche with the tri-tip was exactly as I'd hoped and the toasted bread on the chicken was perfectly done. The Mac was rich and al dente and the rings were well done as we'd requested. The staff is super friendly and we nabbed a table for two outside which had a lovely atmosphere. Definitely can't wait to try other items on the menu! As an fyi we've enjoyed the smash cheeseburger previously and I look forward to having it again.

Piotato salad - fresh with dill and not overly salty like most potato salad. But it wasn't my favorite side.

I'll be back for wings and to try other dishes! Highly recommend the food here! Hidden gem! Yum!!!

Scout's Honor BBQ lives in a weird place in the LA BBQ scene. It's not as sad as oven made BBQ, but it also doesn't sit as a peer among the craft BBQ spots like Moo's Craft in Lincoln Heights. Somehow, the BBQ has a hint of real smoke, but it's pretty weak. There is a lot of seasoning on the brisket. The point of the brisket actually tastes pretty good. But it isn't deeply seasoned with the clean smoke you'd expect from craft BBQ. The flat is equally seasoned, but is a bit dry. The seasoning is good, but it's different. Reads more like a twist on pot roast than an actual BBQ brisket. It's really weird, because you can physically see them smoking the meat on a Southern Pride smoker during the day. Bludso's Bar and Q, my second favorite spot in town, uses similar smokers to Scout's. But the smoke and seasoning is way better there. The ribs at Scout's Honor taste like they hit it with a hint of smoke and basted in BBQ sauce while they cooked. It's like oven baked ribs that have some smoke flavor. The potato salad was just straight up bland. The fries were fine. Overall, the place is fine if you want BBQ that's a step above the oven-cooked variety you'd get at Ribs USA. The smoke flavor was there, but it was bitter. Tasted like green wood. The meats were fatty, but dry. Seems like it had been cut ahead of time and oxidized for an hour or so. The service was great, though. The team there is super nice. The ambience is great. I want them to win. Burbank needs a great craft BBQ spot. But they've got some work to do before they join the ranks of the best BBQ joints in Los Angeles.

We're talking about the steak and egg, which is so good it might ruin every other steak and egg you've ever had. Everything's made with organic, natural ingredients, so you can feel healthy... while eating something the size of your head. Prices are affordable, and honestly, the portions are so big you might leave with dinner for later--or a new personality. It's got a chill vibe, friendly staff, and great people-watching. We came on a weekend for brunch and they had already run out of menus at the front, so people in line were just standing there trying to figure out what to order with nothing to look at beforehand. The tables took a long time to be cleaned. Parking: Metered parking on the main street, but there's free parking at the garage near the AMC. Food: We got the Chilaquiles and Ribeye, Pastrami Burger, and two coffees, which was $72. For that price, I expected the food to have good flavor and quality. The coffee tasted super watered down, the pastrami burger was way too salty, and the fries came out cold. The ribeye was honestly the biggest disappointment. After hearing it was "the best ribeye around," I had high hopes and ordered it medium rare, excited to try it. The ribeye turned out to be a really small, thin cut of meat that was overcooked and tasted pretty cheap compared to how it's hyped up online. The chilaquiles were bland and soggy, and the beans were too. The whole meal just felt really underwhelming for the price. Service: Pretty minimal and slow. You order at the counter, grab a number, and they eventually bring the food out. Nobody checked in on us. Overall, Wild Carvery felt way overhyped from all the online reels and food posts. The food definitely did not live up to how it's portrayed online. The only thing I really liked was the location in downtown Burbank.

Between a ciabatta loaf, it is different and non-traditional. It tastes fatty and hearty as Pastrami should be. It is evenly seasoned and paired with a modern twist; they call their pepper relish. Portioned as a single serving, it is not your deli-sized sandwich like it should be. Other sandwiches and savory items are equally creative and of good quality. There is no doubt that there is great-tasting food here, and you can notice the attention to detail. Unfortunately, you will spend a premium here. Feeling the pinch is as lacking as the need for a nice, fluffy Rye with a crispy crust.

Imagine rows of radicchio, rainbow chard, exquisite endive, squash blossoms, sunchokes and artichokes, fennel with their fronds tangled in long red chilies surrounded by pungent herbs like perilla, lovage, tarragon. An extra star just for that. But... My only gripe is their weekly Saturday BBQ. Through the years I have enjoyed both kinds of ribs, the brisket, sausages, turkey and chicken that they cook and smoke right outside in the parking lot. Even if you don't see it, you'll smell it within a couple blocks. I can't think of a better way to promote a bbq business and Handy Market knows it. They're counting on all the new customers who get lured in by the intoxicating scent of grilled meats on live fire to try this sad, sorry excuse that they call BBQ. All the meats are dry, tasteless and overcooked. They do not season any of the meat, not even a lick of salt. They want you to buy their sugary bbq sauce and baste them on the grill. Meaning you still have to finish cooking it at home but it was tasty enough and the price was low so it was worth doing for many years. Lately though, it's been expensive and inedible. The quality of all the meat has become sus and I was sold the driest beef ribs with texture like leather, that they probably dug up from the back of a freezer and a smelly turkey leg that's left over from like, Thanksgiving. My homemade bbq sauce could not save either meat and suffice to say I will never order barbecue from here again. What's happened to you, Handy Mart? I just can't believe you've slipped so far. This is the worst bbq in all of LA and I cannot recommend anyone eating here. Those brave souls who do not heed this cautionary tale cannot say you haven't been warned. Good luck.
