Scoopers is a classic tourist destination in Long Beach, but it's a worthy stop for a sweet treat. The front of the shop has a homey, welcoming vibe. Chocolates, brittle, taffy, fudge, and ice cream. There's also souvenir merch, bottles of wine, snacks, beverages, and limited grocery store items. Stop #1 (6/16/25) Well priced icy 16oz cans of Coca Cola and a quart of 2% milk. A pleasant chat with the counter person. Stop #2 (6/18/25) Assorted salt water taffy and pair of ice cream sandwiches. Long line at the ice cream counter with that tantalizing scent of freshly made waffle cones. Stop #3 (6/21/25) Finally some ice cream! Umpqua and Alpenrose are featured brands. Pack your patience and show some grace, especially during peak season.

Dropped by after dinner because I wanted a dessert and the choices at the restaurant weren't doing it for me. So glad we dropped in because this is a souvenir store/candy store/truffle store/ice cream shop. I think they have double the number of ice cream flavors than Baskin Robbins. You pay before you order and get a number and when you get called an attendant scoops out your choices. they definitely have their system down to get through the line fast. The flavors aren't the best I've had, but I completely appreciate having every flavor available. They also have a few picnic tables outside so you can enjoy your ice cream. What a fun place to browse and they have the best type of souvenirs with all their toys and candies.

This is a cute shop but check expire by dates. It's currently Feb 21 and they had bacon and eggs on the shelf's that expired in early January (1/6 if I remember correctly). The chocolate from the bar was mediocre. It wasn't only refrigerated items that were expired it was also shelf items too. Not sure I'll be back.

Great ice cream in Long Beach at the end of the main street. Be prepared to wait in line. They get busy. There are so many ice cream flavors to choose from! Also cups, bowls, waffle cones, banana splits, brownie sundae, seriously you name it they can make it. This place is at the back of a store and you get the pleasure of walking past candy, popcorn, fudge ALL KINDS OF GOODIES! Definitely the place to go for ice-cream and a sweet treat!

I'm honestly a bit surprised by all of the negative reviews for Scoopers. My visit was overall pleasant and fun. With that said, I just got a bunch of chocolates (which looked a lot better than they tasted), and a few other items at their full candy shop. There is also a large convenience store here, and a big ice cream counter. The inside is charming, big, and clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. I'm looking forward to indulging in some ice cream the next time I'm in Long Beach.

This is a great stop if you enjoy being heckled by unmotivated employees for talking about how the line is moving slow. "It's spring break and sunny, of course there's going to be a line!" And remember: No whining Ice cream was good, call it a sweet and sour experience

Employees ignoring their customers.

Great ice cream, but atrocious service. The 2 kids working the ice cream counter just talked for a while when there were 8-10 people waiting for them. I know what they were doing for the rest of the weekend.

I'll advised management making people turn away to the next business.

Taffy was good. Lots of flavors. Employee was honest and said it wasnt made locally. Still happy to support a Long Beach business.

None of the employees at this shop were wearing masks when we went in on November 13, 2021. We left without ordering anything.

Phillips Candies - Pistachio Gelato!! Yummy!

And for me, walking straight into Phillips Candies like a man fulfilling a sacred coastal tradition. This place has been around since 1897 and is actually the oldest continually operating business in Seaside, which honestly makes perfect sense the second you walk through the doors. First off, I absolutely love that they carry sugar free chocolates that actually taste good. That alone deserves applause. Then you add in the giant selection of candy, the homemade treats, the popcorn, the chocolate, the old school charm, and suddenly you realize you've been wandering around the store for forty five minutes carrying six pounds of snacks you absolutely did not plan on buying. I am a complete sucker for the white cheddar popcorn and the cheese popcorn. Throw in some Laffy Taffy and now we're talking about a full blown Seaside survival kit. Every single trip to the coast, I stop here and "accidentally" leave with enough candy to supply a small movie theater. The store itself is beautiful too. Bright, nostalgic, cozy, and full of that classic beach town energy that makes you happy just being there. It sits right near all the fun downtown, close to the arcade action and the heart of Seaside, so stopping in feels like part of the experience. The customer service is always fantastic, warm, welcoming, and patient with people like me who spend fifteen minutes debating popcorn flavors like it's a life decision. And somehow, even with the quality, it still feels like you get a good deal. Chocolates, candies, caramel corn, saltwater taffy, coffee drinks, sweet treats everywhere you look. No trip to the Oregon Coast feels complete without walking out of this place carrying a bag that's way heavier than you intended. Five stars all day long.

Really cute store, way bigger than I expected and full of every type of candy and treat imaginable…read more Wednesdays are pretty empty and shops are closed, so this was one of the only places still open to find a treat. A little overpriced candy you can often find at Walmart, but they also had some unique candies and a taffy bar to fill up a bag. Chocolate dipped everything at the chocolate counter and they offer ice cream too. Friendly employees and would visit again!

It was a busy place, and keeps later hours than the salt water taffy place down the block, lucky for me. It's a fairly large store with all kinds of sweets and ice cream. I got a bag of taffy for my mom and then also one as a gift, just an assortment I picked out. From the large selection (I think at least 50 flavors). I also got some fudge (my mom's got a sweet tooth!) for our group of nine visiting to share. They had divinity, an old-fashioned confection of which my mother is quite fond so I picked up some of that, as well as some dark chocolate sea salt and some rocky road. They give free samples and I got a taste of the dark chocolate sea salt--heavenly. I only interacted with one staff member but she was helpful. The parking is street only.

The nostalgia of so many different varieties of candy from our childhood brings a smile to our face. We're literally running around the store saying "oh my gosh look at this" or "did you see this?" It's always a fun experience. They have homemade fudge , a variety of chocolates and different twinkies. Family favorite are the great candy apples made in house. They also serve up icecream with housemade waffle cones. Your sweet tooth will definitely be satisfied!
