Never again.
Rudito B.

Wow, the older lady with glasses behind the counter was disgustingly rude. I asked her a question about one of their candies and she acted like I was bothering her and barked back with a flat, unfriendly "NO". Eff you, too, lady. We all immediately walked out and went to Frite & Scoop next door with super friendly staff and better ice cream choices. We will never be back at this overpriced, tourist trap with "lovely" service.

Look at my cute little wristlet!! I also got a lolly

Dropped by to enjoy some ice cream. Although their sign shows current hours (6pm close Tuesday's ), they were closed at 5:20p.

Went in here thinking it was magical and got a cone that was actually stale and hard as a rock. Couldn't even bite into it. Oh well.

Love this boutique!!! Beautiful store filled, and I mean filled, with thoughtfully curated…read moreScandinavian treasures. Since Astoria, the oldest city in Oregon, had a large settlement of Norwegian, Swedish and Finns the influence remains and a visit to Finn Ware really transports you. The vibrant Marimekko floral shopping totes with coordinating face masks had me at hello! Such a sign of the times. They have an assortment of striped shirts in a multitude of colors that just shout Nordic. Large selection of uniquely designed dish towers and dish cloths, I wanted them all! Of course there is a Christmas section with the most charming Santa's and gnomes in traditional red and white. Even a Christmas tree draped in ornaments for sale. Lots of items with colorful fish designed items: mugs, bowls, paper napkins, dish towels, cards. Make sure to check out the various Lutefisk mugs and their funny sayings. Along one of the walls is an assortment of Finnish licorice, Nordic treats, Icelandic chocolate and saltlakrits. We picked up several items for ourselves and Nordic friends. Definitely give yourself time to walk around and check out every nook and corner, there are treasures everywhere! Wish there was a store like this in Portland.

They had some cute stuff. I just got an ornament for Christmas. But they had some great vases and…read moreother glass items I would have liked like cups but I don't drive and didn't want to carry much. I would definitely come back. Friendly service.

No! This place was…read morereally disappointing. Came here based on reviews, but I. would caution anyone to steer clear of this place. It started with flat champagne drinks. That's just a fail, and it suggests a place that doesn't bother keeping things fresh. It kind of went downhill from there. We were looking for nice fresh fish and chips, wile we were out along the coast. We live near the coast ourselves, and are no strangers to good seafood. We decided to do the Cod and the Halibut fish and chips. While the halibut seemed fresh, the cod was waxy and looked old, and frankly i found it somehow mildly nauseating. I couldn't bring myself to teat it. The batter was crsipy, but lacked seasoning and tasted really flat (cardboard?). Aside from that, the coleslaw seemed pretty old soggy. Gross. Not impressed at all - some of the worst fish and chips I have ever had. Some people may like this kind of food - but i will actively avoid this place the next time in Astoria. Hard pass. i'm nauseous just thinking back to my experience here. Could hardly get away fast enough...

The crab louie salad was underwhelming in both size and flavor. We spent over $60 and didn't feel like we got much. So what is the name of this place?

The ingredients on the sandwiches were very fresh. I could have used a little more sauce on mine. However, the potatoe salad was the star of the show. Definitely tangy and i loved the pickles in it. Very popular since most of the onsite seating were occupied (6/20/25). No surprise after glancing at their menu, easily I could gravitate towards several of their sandwiches. Lots of merch and deli items are also available to select from. I ended up ordering a half pound of proscuitto (0.52 lb for $17.67). This was carefully sliced thin, packaged, and wrapped carefully, which was duly noted and greatly appreciated. We paused at window counter seats and had to sample the purchase before departing. Absolutely delicious! Helped elevate a meal the next day too. I may have to return to indulge in one of their Italian sandwiches. Update: we did return to dine onsite at the same window counter seats (6/22/25). The Homie had the Hot Meatball ($14). Meaty with zesty sauce. I had the Salami Panini ($12), which reminded me of a fave Italian panini at Irwin's Bakery & Cafe in Seattle. Both were fantastic, hit the spot, clean plate club worthy, and definitely no takeout boxes needed! Gaetano's Market & Deli, a terrific find in Astoria!
