One of the candy stores in town. We parked t a nearby lot and walked here since we were strolling the town anyway. Cute store. You can see the taffy being made. And right outside the window is freshly made taffy for you to taste. Now usually I'm not really a fan of taffy but freshly made and warm and it was a nicely sweet and tarty lemon flavored taffy I could't resist. Sure enough. I bought a bag of assorted taffy. In the center of the store you can mix and match any flavors of choice. And they've got alot to choose from. Staff was friendly. Gotta check it out.

We have been going to Bruce's since our first trip to the Coast almost 20 + years ago. You won't be disappointed-they have something for everyone. The taffy is a great. My favorite this year is Caramel apple and cranberry but I enjoy all of them. Fresh popcorn, amazing chocolate. We always find fun and unique gifts for our grandkids.

Hi there! I haven't had the pleasure of physically attending this store, however I placed an online order last week for sprinkles and they were so quick and prompt with my order! They included a personalized note (Go Hawks!) and the sprinkles are exactly as expected! Thank you so much, from San Diego!

I came here when I was visiting Cannon Beach and I bought some salt water taffy, sour kicks, and malt balls. My favorite salt water taffy flavors are watermelon and peanut butter. The sour kicks and malt balls were also great. I enjoyed the blue raspberry sour kicks flavor on top of the chocolatey crunch of the malt balls.

Fun candy shop & super cool that they have a salt water taffy machine in house. The gent working the salt water taffy had a bucket of samples out which was extra SWEET.

A Cannon Beach landmark for centuries . Almost . It's just normal procedure to visit for candy. You can't get fresher salt water taffy . Made right there . Most , if not all chocolate treats you see behind the counter , are $33 a pound. Obviously inflation has hit . But I believe the candy and the experience are worth it.

My favorite candy stone when I was a kid. Went back today and just as I remembered. Have cute gifts as well as candy. Friendly and helpful staff. Love their saltwater taffy and homemade chocolates. Very popular place.

Bruce's Candy Kitchen is a delight, from its pink striped exterior to the sheer volume of treats jamming the store floor to ceiling. There is something about going into a store like this as an adult with no limits that adds to the thrill. Classic candy from Mary Jane's to Lemonheads, licorice of every variety, gummy things, sour things, chocolate things, it's all here. That includes fresh popped and flavored corn, hand made confections, and candy apples. Sales staff were attentive and busy, keeping the wait to a minimum after you pick your basket of goodies. This is a must stop in Cannon Beach for kids of every age!

We have known about this place for many years. We just always missed them when they were open. This time we were able to see the taffy machine in action and we explored the cool candy store. My youngest daughter was super excited and we let her pick her candy - sour strawberry ribbons. She made a good choice. We also picked a large assortment of the taffy to try later. Such a nice store!

There's something about the beach, the sand and the water that makes me crave a little sugar. I must not be the only one, because Bruce's Candy Kitchen was hopping with customers-even amid the social distancing/COVID pandemic stuff. Upon entry, there is a table with hand sanitizer and signs throughout reminding people to keep their distance from each other and asking everyone not to touch products unless you plan to buy them. Most everyone wore face masks-all the employees did, too. Now, on to why you're here: the candy. Yup, there's lots of it. Every sugary delight you can imagine-bins of candy or individually packaged. Novelty toy items to t-shirts. There's even caramel covered apples, which I'm kicking myself for not trying. The employees are friendly and check-out is relatively quick. This is a fun stop after (or before) a day at the beach to get your candy fix. It's right on the main road, so parking can be a little limited. But if you're patient, or willing to walk a block or two, you're sure to find something nearby. It may not be a bad idea to walk off some of that sugar, anyway.

Salt Water Taffy!

I came here because of all of the Oregon YouTube mentions. It is totally worth the trip! The salt water taffy was amazing! This was hands down the best salt water taffy I've had in my life. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because my husband's popcorn was stale there has to be better quality control with that, especially for $6 per bag. The workers were friendly and the restaurant had a huge variety of candy! They even label which taffy contains dairy which was a huge help for me considering I have dietary restrictions! I highly recommend!

That big Puffin - he became mine. Lol

Very good candy. A lot of options. The taffy here is much better than the taffy at the spot down the street

Best candy store in town. It's also great to take the kids and watch the taffy machine humming along.

Listen. If you ever find yourself wandering through the salt-kissed mist of Cannon Beach with sand…read morein your shoes and an ache for something sweet in your soul, go ahead and duck into Schwietert's Cones & Candy. It's a sugar-slinging time machine. Shelves groan under the weight of taffy in colors that don't occur in nature and fudge dense enough to warp gravity. I had the ice cream. Two scoops. Marionberry Pie and Mountain Huckleberry. Both from Tillamook, which around here is less a brand and more a benevolent dairy cult. These berries are like edible postcards from the Pacific Northwest. One bite and you're knee-deep in a foggy forest thinking you hear Bigfoot weeping quietly from joy. Of course the prices are high. You're in a town where the beach views are free and everything else makes up for it. The real gamble is who hands you your scoop. Some of us got generous lumps the size of a toddler's fist while others looked like they'd been served a sample. Such is life in a democracy. The lines wound throughout the store, but it moved along at a respectable clip. People were smiling. Sugar does that. All in all, this is the kind of place that doesn't pretend to be anything other than what it is. A temple to nostalgia. A sanctuary for the sweet-toothed and sunburnt. Four stars. One star held in reserve for the day someone figures out how to standardize scoop sizes.

It was a mixture of candy, waffle cones and other goodies. But first we needed to have lunch and I promised we would be back for some ice cream. What's a vacation without a daily scoop of ice cream ESPECIALLY when you are on vacation with your GG? I made good on my promise. We walked in and were met with a display of various fudge, saltwater taffy galor but we were there for some ice cream. Which was located at the back of the store. Displayed in all its yumminess was various flavors of Tillamook ice cream. Granddaughter chose birthday cake. I had jamoca almond fudge and my son had a cherry jubilee. We found seating outside in a courtyard where we enjoyed our ice cream before our big drive home.

It was a busy place, and keeps later hours than the salt water taffy place down the block, lucky for me. It's a fairly large store with all kinds of sweets and ice cream. I got a bag of taffy for my mom and then also one as a gift, just an assortment I picked out. From the large selection (I think at least 50 flavors). I also got some fudge (my mom's got a sweet tooth!) for our group of nine visiting to share. They had divinity, an old-fashioned confection of which my mother is quite fond so I picked up some of that, as well as some dark chocolate sea salt and some rocky road. They give free samples and I got a taste of the dark chocolate sea salt--heavenly. I only interacted with one staff member but she was helpful. The parking is street only.

They also serve up icecream with housemade waffle cones. Your sweet tooth will definitely be satisfied!
