We ordered a chili verde burger and gochujung crunchy chicken filet. We shared the sandwiches. The chicken sandwich was outstanding! Enjoyed everyth ing about it! Crunch and sauce balanced well with a little slaw on the inside. **** The promo chili verde burger. Meh *** unsensational and small. Asked for lettuce and tomatoes which made it better. Truffle Parmesan fries were just Parmesan . Disappointed.
I can honestly say that the Blue Burger is probably one of the best burgers I've ever had. I was in town visiting and Scolari's was recommended. i only ordered the Blue Burger and it was definitely enough! So delicious, flavorful and everything about it was perfect. The blueberry sauce balances the bleu cheese and arugula. The service was great. Staff were friendly and prompt. Love the location and the vibe.
Scolari's gets a lot of attention with Instagram foodies and I decided to give them a try. I got the classic cheese burger for $17.95 and it was tasty. It reminds me of a In and Out burger at 3x the price with more premium lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. The bun was nicely toasted like In and Out. The pattie looked like it was a quarter pound. The service was good and I enjoyed the burger in the parklet seating.
This spot is incredible and so unique! Who would've thought to put blueberries in a burger! I removed the blue cheese because I'm not a fan but it was super delicious the bacon is super crispy and I love the seasoning on the burger! The fries are fresh but a little too oily other than that it was good! The service is quick and the cashier bring the food out to you, keep in mind they only have outdoor seating but it's nice since the weather has been great! There's little shops near it so you can walk around and explore. I would definitely come back!
I think this place has the best burger in Alameda! The bacon blueberry bleu cheese burger is smackalackin! Standing taller than your face, you're gonna need to unlock your jawbone to take a proper bite of this beast. Sweet and savory, hitting all your senses. Chill and grab a drink next door while you wait for your food, there's even a patio in the back if weather is nice. Kick it, snatch a brewski and smack that triple B burger and be fat and happy. YOLO!
1303 Park St Alameda, CA 94501 On Sunday evening, around 7pm, I went to the popular "Scolari's Good Eats" to grab a Cheeseburger and Fries to go. In short, the food is good, service is good, but the prices are high. But you get to say you enjoyed the food at a famous local restaurant. 1303 Park Street is where you order. From there you have the choice of: - Takeout - Eat outside in a parklet - Go next door and eat in the bar, that has a patio. If you choose to eat there, they give you a number and they will bring you your food. But be aware, this isn't fast food. I had to wait 15-20 mins for my order. From the menu on the wall, I ordered: - Classic Cheeseburger w/ everything, $17.50 - Parmesan Truffle Fries, full order, $14 Gave the friendly server a 15% tip, total= $40.12 (incl tax) The Classic Cheeseburger is excellent. It's well balanced and delicious. Don't let that tall stack of lettuce concern you. You're not getting served a "salad burger." You will taste the medium rare meat patty and creamy cheese coating. The pickles and onions got my attention. The Parm Truffle Fries were a bit soggy and semi-crispy. Their dark color suggests they were "twice fried." Twice fried french fries are super crispy if they're plain. But they can get soggy quickly if you add toppings. My fries were tasty, but not very crispy. Overall, a good experience. https://www.scolarisgoodeats.com/ Next time, I will probably get plain fries and try the chicken sandwich.
First time ever coming here, it was recommended by one of my friends. This is an order at the front, wait for the food situation with some picnic tables in front of the business. What a lot of people do is order food from here and get a drink from next door. The service was a little slow and they weren't that busy, so that was a little confusing. Overall, the atmosphere is pretty chill and just hang out with some friends vibes. We all felt the price was relatively high and not really matching with quality. The hot chicken sandwich was barely even hot but the chicken itself was pretty crispy which we liked. The chicken was kind of small for how big of a bun they give you. Plus the flavor wasn't all there, the thing that saved this sandwich from being bad was the jalapeños but if those weren't there it's pretty meh. The pizza slice was pretty good! I live for a good crust and this one fell a little short with the taste. My favorite thing was the fries, they come with chili flakes which were delicious but it seems like the toppings were small for how many fries there were. More garlic and chili flakes please! Overall I think I would find myself back here if I'm in the area but I don't think I would ever seek this place out. It was honestly just too expensive, pizza slice was $9 when usually pizza slice are max $6? I don't know, just seems like too high for quality of items. Parking was not a problem this night and Alameda street parking after 6pm is free!
Came here since it's around the corner from the airport. Saw the yelp reviews and thought why not try it since it has a high ratings. Came in and saw the menu straight from the wall. Can't miss it, it's just that big screen. Just when I ordered the crispy hot dog from this dude. He chuckled and says "you came here to order just that?" I replied "yah, why not!! I want to eat a crispy hot dog." Then he said, "you looked at the menu and you don't want to try anything else?" So I asked him "alright! What do you recommend?" As he pointed out that it was on Food Network "Diners, Drive in and Dive" and that I should try it!!" So I told him go ahead and put those ones on my order: Nashville Hot Good Ol' Boy chicken Sandwich and Blueberry Bacon Blue Cheese Burger. Then when I got home I didn't see my Crispy Hot Dog that I originally ordered. Since I didn't get my hot dog that's the outcome of my scoring. Atleast I didn't give it a lower score. I didn't even wanted the burger nor the sandwich. I was craving a hot dog. Oh well! Maybe next time again which I doubt it. My party did like what I ordered. They said it was good. The place has outdoor seating.
We enjoyed two different burgers and a specialty sandwich which included coconut shrimp along with peanut butter and jelly. All our dishes were very fresh, flavorful, and large in portion. I would certainly come back here again.
4.5/5 I've been to Scolari's for years and this place has good quality burgers! It definitely hits the spot. My go to here is the blueberry bacon blue cheese burger. My friend didn't enjoy it as much as me, so if you're not into the sweet/savory flavor combination then I wouldn't order this. The fries are crispy, I believe they are twice fried, and the garlic scampi is loaded with fresh garlic. They don't have seating inside and it's a walk up and order place. However, you can grab your burger and enjoy it next door at Lucky 13 with a beer or they have outdoor seating available. The outdoor seating doesn't have heaters, so I recommend going on a sunny day if you want to enjoy sitting outside.
Even after several years, this burger joint is one of the BEST. Their beyond burgers are exceptional, almost better than their beef patties. My favorite is the blueberry burger! Highly recommend stopping by whenever in Alameda.
Triple B burger with blue cheese, bacon, and blueberries was definitely a huge burger with unique components. It took a long time to get from their food truck at Almanac but it was good and I liked the sweet and savory combination. Their fries looked pretty cooked through so decided to skip that.
This review is purely on the service.. The lady on Friday night is dishonest and scummy. I luckily ended up seeing this separate transaction of 6.83 on my card as I was still in the area. I went to ask about it and she said it was the tip I left, which I didn't remember leaving but I said oh well my mistake. I ended up calling my bank later because I had a gut feeling, and my bank said this transaction happens 13 minutes after my initial transaction so it clearly wasn't me who put in the tip and had to be the lady (who again lied to my face). I won't be coming back here purely on dishonest service. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.

I've been coming to Scolari's for years. Last Thursday, my BFF was visiting from out of town. She hadn't been here in a few years. We were in downtown Oakland seeing friends and she really wanted food from here. So I called to place an order. They asked me to hold. I was on hold all the way until I walked through the door. 14-15 minutes. There were no customers. Employees standing around. I ordered the usual. Nashville Hot Chicken, Blueberry Bacon Blue and Scampi fries. We got our food and went to my apartment. The food was not edible. At all. We threw it all out. I called and spoke to Callie. She said "Well it IS a hot chicken sandwich" Ummm... I've had it over a dozen times. I'm aware. There were no blueberries on the burger, and medium rare was closer to well done. The fries were overdone as well. The chicken sandwich was SO hot. We both started choking on the heat. We both eat hot stuff all the time. This was disgusting. Cali took my info and said I would get a call right after Christmas. Nothing. I called again this week. I was informed the Manager knew but would reach out Thursday, that they were off Tuesday and Wednesday. The young man apologized for the delay and my disappointment. (First apology yet) Nothing. Come on Scolari's, get it together. read more

My favorite place to go for a delicious burger with the best garlic scampi fries, in the Bay Area. Scolari's is a quaint little hole-in-the-wall with a friendly staff. Don't forget to leave some tip for these friendly folks, they deserve every penny. It is a very small and unpretentious joint so there aren't many places to sit. Probably best to take your food to-go or scarf it down real quick, which isn't hard to do. If you're drinking at the bar, next door, you can have your food sent over your way. Their fried chicken is crispy and flavorfully tender. Their garlic scampi fries are tasty and crispy, down to the very last morsel. Best of all, their burger patties are seasoned and grilled perfectly. Never rough or bland. read more

I absolutely LOVED my meal at Scolari's! My friend & I came to Alameda for dinner and I'm so happy we ended up eating here. The Good Ol' Boy fried chicken sandwich was really delicious, although the lettuce was rather subpar. Regardless, this sandwich was super flavor and I enjoyed every bite. The house cut fries...boy oh boy, if you love fries, you will LOVE these fries! And I can't forget to mention their house aioli, I'm a sucker for a good aioli and this was one of the best I've ever had. Last but not least, the soda. I love that they have soda from the local Alameda Soda Company. To quote George Costanza, it was bubbly and refreshing :-) read more

This was a great find for us. We came from Fresno to go to see the USS hornet museum ship. They weren't open yet so we went exploring, looking for somewhere to eat. Some how we ended up at Scolari's. The service was excellent the young man was courteous and seemed super busy. He was able to take our order and answer questions for me. I even got plain grilled chicken sandwich for my dad, which was excellent he said the meat was marinated and delicious even though it was just a piece of chicken on a bun. We ate outside along the street before we knew it. The young man brought our meal. My son had a Nashville chicken sandwich that looked delicious. My Nephew had the other chicken sandwich and I had a double wimpy burger with bacon. We had a giant plate of french fries they were delicious. All The food was delicious. The seating outside was wonderful all the people with their young babies and everyone was so nice. We had a wonderful time. It was a great Sunday. Lunch would definitely come back again. read more
This place is #TDF (to die for) the blueberry burger is my fav I've been here about 10x and each time this place delivers. The food is bomb and the staff is amazing. The pizza is from Marley Gs can it get any better? The buffalo fries and the scampi fries are definitely the best fries in the bay. You have to bring your friends and family here when they visit. You're going to spend an extra $10 per person for a burger than your used to but trust me it's 100% worth it. This place slays and it's on my top 5 lists. read more

OK don't take this the wrong way, but a hamburger like this should not run me that much. The pricing is really high and that's why I only go here maybe once or twice a year. But outside of that they ambience is great. You can eat outside at the tables. I believe you can sit inside too by the glass I remember correctly the services decent comes up pretty quick and if you're eating at the bar next-door, they will deliver it to you, so that's always a bonus, like I said it's worth it just don't go there thinking it's going to be a cheap meal read more

The food here was really solid. I got a Far East Nashville hot chicken sandwich. It was well seasoned, the toppings added nice brightness and acidity to the hot, crispy chicken. Would definitely recommend it. The fries were generously portioned, seasoned well, and still a bit crisp - they give off Five Guys vibes but way less soggy. read more
So last day in Oakland and we go to Alameda and stop at this place for a bite to eat. This was such a cool little local place that we were glad to support. The food was delicious and they give you plenty of it. Outside seating and great staff. Would love to eat here again when in the Bay Area again. read more

I typically wouldn't eat here cause it's really heavy food but in spirit of Fourth of July I wanted a hamburger so we came here. They don't have their full menu but they still had some choices that I was interested, just keep in mind it's going to be a heavy meal LOL. I tried: Blueberry burger: 4/5 OMG surprisingly this was so good and better than what I was expecting. The sweet sauce went well with the burger. I would say the only thing is it would be better without the bleu cheese but overall very tasty. Far East Chicken Sandwich: 4/5 I actually really liked this sandwich too bc it was spicy and had a kick to the slaw. Overall the sandwich tasted good but they could have had the chicken a little more crispy. I do appreciate they try to add their own twists to everything. Fries were also pretty good but one order of the scampi fries was pretty much same size of half an order of fries so not sure what happened there LOL. I would come back if I'm in a mood for burgers for sure! read more
I'm shocked. Like genuinely shocked at how fucking good their spicy chicken sandwich is. Juicy, flavorful, bright slaw, like what the fook!!! Haha I would've looooooved if there is a spice level (like if I wanted it spicier!) it was a good amount of spice already, spicier would just be more fun :) I am torn bc my faaaaav is howlin rays but this place might have just topped it. Jaw dropping. If I lived in Oakland I'd prob go here once a week LOL Garlic fries were bomb too! read more

The food is good, just loses a star for price. 3 burgers, 2 fries = $70+. The burger and fries is usually my go to here, haven't really ventured out with anything else. read more

Really good food, always nice and friendly service, super expensive though. Really small inside, you just go in to place your order and wait outside. They have a partnership with Lucky 13 bar right next door so you can take your food in there and eat it, and post pandemic they also now have outdoor street seating with benches and tables. Horrible parking as it's on Park Street, but you may get lucky parking a block away or so. If you're a burger person, You must try their Blueberry Bacon Blue Cheese Burger, one of the best burgers around, and their house fries are really good. I have also tried their New Jersey Taylor Ham, Egg, & Cheese Sandwich and it's really good too, kinda salty bc of the ham so don't eat it if you have to watch your sodium intake (okay maybe just a bite to taste lol). I would recommend and would/do go back, but again it is very pricey imo, even for "Alameda prices". read more

First time in this joint. Classic burger- juicy , great texture, BIG! No complaints Blueberry burger - sweet blue berry jam accompanied the burger . Includes crispy bacon. Juicy as well. Burger includes a side of aioli. Fries- little touch of sweetness akin to wing stop's wings. Unique aspect: joint is attached to a bar, so you can bring your order number there, have food delivered , and enjoy a drink as well! Bonus: Pliny on tap! Price point : little pricy 35$ for two burgees and fries - but hey it's the bay. read more

This is going to be my first and last time I ordered from this place. The food picture online is very deceiving. I ordered "Buffalo Chicken Lettuce Cup". The picture showed a few pieces of fried chicken thighs. Instead, what I got was tiny pieces of chicken on top of a bunch of shaved carrots . The French fries was over fired, wasn't crispy at all, covered with tons of oil. Overall, I now realized what I ate was garbage! read more

Traditional menu or special menu this spot produces some bomb food! It's right next to lucky 13, so you beer and burger people best come here! Lots of amazing parings to be had. They cook their burgers perfectly, juicy, and flavorful. If you don't like soggy buns (due to burger juice) you will always be challenged to eat crispy fries and down the giant burgers before they get too juicy in the buns. Defiantly worth a stop! read more

I finally got to try the Good Old Boy chicken sandwich for myself and it was honestly PERFECT. The bun is soft, but sturdy and holds the sandwich together. The pickles are crisp but not too vinegar-y. Most importantly, the chicken! The spice was full of heat and flavor (like that of a jalapeño). The breading was both crispy and crunchy and the meat was tender and juicy. (Eat your heart our Popeye's!) We ordered a side of fries and Mac and cheese and both complimented the sandwiches so well. The Mac and cheese was creamy, thick, and flavorful, while the fries were seasoned perfectly. And HOLD UP. Craft soda from the fountain?? Yes please! It was the perfect way to complete a meal. (I mixed the cola and cherry *chef's kiss*) Okay I'm done. Thanks for reading folks. read more

Pros: top notch burgers and fries! I've been a couple of times and have tried fried chicken sandwich, classic burger, regular fries, truffle fries, and garlic fries. All were cooked to perfection. The people who work here are very nice and helpful with suggesting menu items. Cons: Parking can be tough. There has been a line each time I've visited but it sure moved quick. Seating is quite limited but seems to open up frequently enough that you wouldn't have to wait an unreasonably long time. read more

Hands down the BEST burger I've had in my 26 years of living. I watch Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives all the time, and this restaurant was featured in season 28. This blueberry bacon burger was featured in the episode as well and it looked amazing. So of course I had to try it ! The sweetness from the blueberry sauce counters with the tart bite from the blue cheese and it's the best pairing. Topped with red onions and fresh arugula and it is perfection. The scampi fries were also amazing! They were hot and fresh and the fresh garlic and lemon juice really stood out. I will definitely be back! read more

One of the best spots for a leveled up burger and fries! Food here is super flavorful and portions are above average. The fries are my favorite, they're always extra crispy, well seasoned, piled high come with a generous dollop of garlic (fair warning if you're on a date, LOL) and tasty aioli. The burgers are juicy and tender with fresh buns. You can count on them serving A burger that's almost too tall to bite. My favorite is the blueberry burger, super unique flavor combo of salty and sweet! Sounds weird but it's delicious. FYI: There is techtno indoor seating, you order food at a walk up counter. There's outdoor street side seating (about 7 - 8 picnic tables). You can also take your food to the bar next door for indoor seating or outdoor patio seating (smoking section) read more

What is the current menu? Last time I went it changed but don't remember the changes.
Unfortunately, I failed to take a picture of the menu when I was there. However, I did have Fish Tacos that were absolutely delicious. When I looked at the other menus that were posted, I couldn't find them anywhere.…
Do they have GF buns? And no, lettuce is not a bun. :) Thanks!
Nope. They will do lettuce and the lettuce is a nice butter but no buns and nothing else here is gf sadly.
