Buyer beware, after buying a brand new bow and $2000 later I had to go through and tighten every screw on the thing they touched. Figured it was just an over sight. Now every arrow has the inserts coming off due to improper prep. My buddy just bought arrows last Friday from them from Victory and the arrow exploded first go. Called and no sorry or what can we do to make it right? Just not our problem, call victory and they say wrong arrow was matched for lbs and draw length, Not there problem. I guess it's our fault for trusting them as professionals..... never again will they get a single dime or recommendation. read more

Went in 15 minutes before closing time and they went above and beyond helping me with adjusting my bow. Don in the archery department went through countless boxes trying to find the draw length module for my older model bow and luckily they had one on hand at a good deal. Had me shoot it once to make sure it felt comfortable ( which considering what time I came in was very generous). Especially being swamped with bows and crossbows needing service this close to deer season, Don went the extra mile making sure I was taken care of and got me set up regardless of it being Friday and so close to closing time. I'm relatively new when it comes to archery & bowhunting. Hands down best archery place to go to. Been to multiple across MI and this place has been the best. My bow that "looked good" by other places standards was actually way outta whack. They showed me what it was supposed to be like and went into depth explaining why it should be that way. They absolutely took care of me, and I even came in with a specific price range in mind and walked out, within that price range, with a personally fitted bow that they took the time to fit to ME personally. I got the Bear Archery Legit RTH package for 399$ in desert camo and was helped by Rob, he even helped me with my shooting form and siting in my 20 yard pin, in house no less for just the cost of my bow. If you want a bow, or need a firearm, this is absolutely the place to go. You will NOT, Without question, get service like this anywhere else, and I visited 4 other shops before coming here. I purchase a QAD rest and installed it myself. Shortly after I noticed it was ripping off the vanes on my arrows and I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. I took my bow into Ryan and not only did he fix my improper installation of the rest, tuned my bow so I could hit what I was pointing at. He did a great job. They are a busy sporting goods shop and it pays to call a head if you need service work on your bow or firearms. They stand behind their work through and through. They made a customer for life out of me when there was a service issue with my bow that required major components to be replaced. They made it right and got me into a new bow without any hassle and all I was charged was the difference in price from my bow to the bow I picked out! Hands down great customer service! This place is a total joke Overpriced, don't have what you're looking for and the WORST customer service I've EVER seen. Went in to pick up an angled fore grip for my husband's AR-15, not only did they not have one anywhere to be seen but I was not even asked once if I needed any assistance finding what I was looking for. I settled for a different type of grip but it was up high on the shelf. Once again, not asked if I needed assistance (I'm 5'1") instead of offering I was laughed at trying to get it myself by two rude younger men probably in their late 20's early 30's. I'm not easily offended but that's not good customer service. I felt I was judged from the time I walked in the door. Although I'm a tiny woman, I'm a veteran. I served my time and treat others with respect and dignity unlike these men at schupbachs. They're prices are ridiculous. $600 for a Smith and Wesson m&p .40 but if you take that same exact gun in to sell they'll offer you $150. That's an outrageous profit margin. The only person in that entire store that has customer service skills at all is the older man who works the register. He was nice, helpful and apologized on behalf of his coworkers. However, I will not ever shop there again. I've told everyone I know not to shop there and will continue to do so. You want a great store with great employees and a wide selection at way better prices go to Total Firearms up in Mason. A little bit of a commute but well worth the trip! read more

Well, I've heard so much about this place that I took time to drive over and check it out. Definitely mask compliant. I came in with my young daughter and we simply walked about, she had to check out all of the stuffed wildlife, it was quite the experience for her. There weren't many people inside when I arrived, I asked someone about ammo and about used rifles. I was told I could go behind the counter and inspect them, so I did. Not long after another young man told me that I wasn't allowed to be behind the counter, it was confusing. Once I had decided on a rifle I waited patiently for the gentleman I had first spoken with to finish with his customer. Granted I was in Carhart overalls and by most accounts "grubby looking" but, I was there to make a purchase. The gentleman finally looked up at me dropped his shoulders and his glasses and said "Do you want something?" Yes, I want to make a purchase, (but, I don't NEED to make here!, was my thought) Yes, I walked out with a sizeable purchase, the young woman who checked me out was patient and kind. I kept my cool and found an item I've really wanted for some time. I'm giving this a 2star for the young lady at checkout and for the staff allowing my young daughter to explore without giving her grief...that would have been a deal-breaker. I get that COVID is tough on us all, but, if you want to keep your clientele I would suggest putting your friendly faces on the sales floor and keep your angry looking, don't bother me unless you have money guy.... in the back. read more

I just bought a bow and spent a good chunk of change in here, but I know I got my money's worth. I was in there 2 & 1/2 hours getting my new bow set up because I haven't bought a new bow in 10 years so I was starting from the ground up. I forget the guy's name that I worked with, but he was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable and an absolute pleasure to work with. I wasn't sure what sight or arrow rest would be good for me and he gave me his input in helping me pick out what I needed. After he set up the rest of my bow we went up to the range where he helped me dial in the sight. Thanks to his help, I was zeroed in in no time at all. I think the best part about this experience was the fact that he took his time and he only helped me for the entire 2.5 hours which is extremely appreciated. My family and I have been shopping there forever and I wouldn't go anywhere else for archery, shooting, or any other type of hunting needs. The only downside to this place is that it doesn't have much camo, but that's because it's predominately an archery/shooting store. You can't get service like this at a big name store like Cabela's or Bass Pro Shops. I got there a couple minutes before they opened on a Saturday morning and there were already 4 people already waiting outside, so make sure to get there at a good time to get the help you need. read more
