The packaging was probably the best I've ever experienced. Sure, the S&H was $9, and after all, it does cost money to ship items (not every business is Amazon, or a big retailer who can afford to absorb shipping overhead expenses)... but how the store handled the shipping explains why it's actually better to pay for shipping when it comes to buying from comic book and collectible sellers than it is to buy from some sellers who tout "Free Shipping" and inherently do a shoddy cheap neglectfully poor job shipping an item that then most likely gets damaged in transit from shipping to delivery receipt. Not with Sanctum 'tho! My comic was first bagged and boarded, in fresh new materials. Then it was placed into a rigid plastic toploader. Then that was placed into a waterproof bag and taped tight so the comic book essentially could not move around or drop out of the toploader. Then that bag was placed into a "Gemini" styled custom comic book shipper box. That box was then placed inside of a sturdy larger oversized shipper box and with padding inside the box. There was that proverbial 99.98% iron clad assurance that the package would survive any normal or abnormal handling and was protected with 3 iron clad layers of packaging where many sellers only use one at best. In the world of mail orders for comic books, "cheapest prices" aren't always the best because the merchandise could be damaged, shipping could be faulty, systems could be flawed (and suddenly "hot" comics become "out of stock" with sellers refusing to honor prices), or are simply shady. I'd endorse Sanctum for my mail order business. I'm not local to the area to visit the store, but visiting the website is a great experience.

They also sold playing cards and in the back was tables for group play. Up in the front left was a large selection of games. The smaller packages deck games are locked in cases. (However the staff was super helpful and didn't hesitate letting us check them out) The staff super nice and helpful (but not too chatty and overbearing). Again the organization blew me away! As well as the large selection of games. If you're searching for a great game store to visit start to frequent this one is it.

After discussing this on the phone, he agreed to partially refund me for the hardship. Several months later, I dropped the fake card off and he texted me to deny that he sold me the card but that he would "honor the $7 store credit offer". Notably, this is not the remedy we agreed upon on the phone. It is unfortunate that after spending a significant amount of money at this store, I have been met with such dishonest behavior. I write this review only to warn shoppers to be careful of what they buy. If hardship may occur, do not depend on Rich to make you whole. You will be disappointed.
