All others may proceed…read more When I was a kid, one of my strongest memories was getting my first discman for Christmas and my first few CDs that I called my own. I wanted to give my cousin the same memory, and since vinyl is the the thing these days I got her her own record player. I wanted to get a few albums to go with it so I grilled her on her faves artists then put together a list of some artists she may like based on her interests. Then I took that list and I went to Underground Sound's website to see what was in stock. I landed on two records I think she's going to really like (Tegan and Sara, "The Con" and the first Gorillaz record) and was able to purchase them online for instore pick up. While I love browsing through the stacks, the busy holiday time doesn't leave much time for digging so buying online for pick up was super convenient. And it was great to support a local record shop to boot! Physical media 4ever!!!

A girl greets me and says it's going to be a few minutes if I want to look around As I am waiting she pulls out every album and checks them. A few minutes later this dude looks through my albums. She says to the other employee "most of them look okay" He Hands one back to me and offers me $5. I was so confused and responded I don't know what you're talking about I'm just trying to buy these. They both apologized and looked shocked. Then when she rings me out she charged me $1 for the .25 cent record he refused to take! It's just odd they both downgraded the albums and then argued about the priceI was trying to BUY from them. Anyway I still bought them. Support Local Businesses.

I found a wonderful, antique framed photograph I bought at a great price. The owner was there when we were, he was very nice, chatted with us for a while. The women at the counter weren't particularly warm, but one had just gotten blasted by an obnoxious older guy because he complained that the store charges an extra 6% to customers who pay with a credit or debit card, to cover the fees associated with that. She told him to take it up with the bank and he got really mad and loud about that. So, in fairness, I can understand why when we got to the counter she was a little distant.
