Neither one of us wants to start up a small business but would look for an old place like this as a residence while still keeping the historical aspect of the place intact. The location of this place does not lends itself to a residence, definitely a business. We met the owner who was busily working but took the time to answer questions and was most pleasant. This place is an antique and consignment store as the name implies. The owner had this place added to the Michigan historical list which means she is limited to what she can change inside and out keeping the historical integrity of the building. The level of respect immediately went up for me as both my wife and I are big supporters of historical landmarks such as this. The items for sale are displayed nicely and prices clearly marked. It seems like the perfect business for this place bringing in items from old days gone by into a place that must have been quite a sight with trains and passengers coming and going. What a treat this was for both of us.

There are many rooms to explore and the merchandise runs from big furniture pieces to small chotskies. My nephew bought his 70's kitchen table and chairs here for $75.00. Of course their are a few vendors that have high prices, but if you visit often you will be sure to find some sort of hidden treasure or another. It's not too far from MSU right on Grand River.
