I LOVE this place!…read more Sharon has such a unique shop, that is different each and every time we've been there. Although we stumbled upon Another Man's Treasure on our vacation to Pine Lake last summer, we have been back SEVERAL times...and it's a three hour drive from our house in Chicago! What we love most is that each piece is unique...like a piece of art. In fact, Sharon created a custom piece of art for our new lake home...a 45" square coffee table that exceeded my expectations!!! With a distressed soft finish barnwood top and grey-white-pale yellow-cream slats around the sides, it was clear that Sharon listened to what I wanted and then delivered with creativity and style. It turned out so cool, that there were several people wanting it, while it waited for us to pick it up from her store. Prices are unbelievably low, too...which made me buy even more! Sharon...thank you for sharing your creative gifts with us! We'll be back, for sure!

David was above and beyond helpful, he knew what I was talking about right away and unbelievably he said he expected to see that piece in the next couple weeks as he was bringing in a large collection from an estate. I couldn't believe it. I got the piece before it even got in the gallery doors! Such tears of joy and triumph!!! This is the place if you're looking for that hard to find piece of art, sculpture or painting and I can't gush enough about David, his vast knowledge of art and his ability to find the impossible! The man makes art collector dreams come true! Welcome to your art needs solution my friends! Congratulations!

Given that we're only having a 7-month long engagement, going to bridal salons and ordering gowns was out of the question. In comes the Dowry to save the day! Staff: The staff is really friendly and helpful. The place is owned by Emily, a really sweet girl who really tries to accommodate you, even if it means she has to go out of her way. I made an appointment and worked with Anita, one of the store employees who is incredibly supportive and attentive. She greeted me warmly when I arrived and asked me what I was looking for in a wedding dress. True to what I described, she picked gowns that fit the description and stayed under the budget I gave her. Selection: The store is full of dresses that have never been worn at a steal of a price but there are also consigned gowns, too. I've seen labels like Pronovias and Allure on their racks. They have everything from sheaths to full-blown princess dresses. The dress I fell in love with is a Dere Kiang gown that seemed to be consigned to the store; it even had the original veil with it! There are even some evening formal dresses and special occasion dresses in their store, so if you have a formal event coming up, stop by to take a look! Overall experience: I was able to put my dress on hold for a week but ended up going back a few days later with a friend to get a second opinion and try it on a second time. I couldn't walk away the second time but was able to get the dress and the veil for under $300! Each time I talked to Emily or Anita, I was met and received with friendliness and genuine concern for what I wanted. I would DEFINITELY recommend the Dowry to anyone who is looking to do a wedding on a low budget or if you're like me and just think it's ridiculous to pay an arm and a leg for a dress ;)
