Super friendly staff who know a lot about the objects that are for sale. This is a true antique shop where almost everything is an antique , not a bunch of 1980s mass produced knickknacks. I would recommend Plainwell Antiques to any collector, whether you budget is a few dollars or a few thousand, they have great quality pieces for everyone. read more

It's rare to find an antique store that focuses on actual antiques rather than flea market rummage. The three proprietors are highly skilled professionals in their fields and can provide background & history for virtually all of the inventory. There are items from under ten dollars to well over a thousand, and the for the informed shopper, the value is very fair & often under the market for the price level. read more

Happily I found out I had mistaken the store on the corner for Grand antiques! They were OPEN! I complained to yelp for a misleading listing, but it was my mistake, not theirs. I was not disappointed. This is a great store with an amazing variety and very reasonable pricing. I left the store with a box full, smiling all the way. Don't forget to check out the second floor. Just be sure to bring cash or check as they do not accept credit/debit cards. I cannot say enough about their quality plants and customer service. FYI, if you hesitate to shop there because of their location on Westnedge, don't worry; they have an entry/exit to a side road that has a traffic light to get back onto Westnedge!
