Wow. First time here. A nice selection of vinyl to look through. I grabbed a few and headed to the counter. A girl greets me and says it's going to be a few minutes if I want to look around As I am waiting she pulls out every album and checks them. A few minutes later this dude looks through my albums. She says to the other employee "most of them look okay" He Hands one back to me and offers me $5. I was so confused and responded I don't know what you're talking about I'm just trying to buy these. They both apologized and looked shocked. Then when she rings me out she charged me $1 for the .25 cent record he refused to take! It's just odd they both downgraded the albums and then argued about the priceI was trying to BUY from them. Anyway I still bought them. Support Local Businesses. read more

There are a lot of vinyl records, cassettes, cds, and dvds here. The store smells of incense, which I like. The staff seem friendly.

Visited from out of town. Surface of the moon has fewer craters than their parking lot. Nice selection of mediocre vinyl. Owner/manager about as polite as Don Rickles. Prices are ok considering you're in the epicenter of a pathetic,has been,rust belt metropolis. Nonetheless I dropped a couple hundred on some garage and soul titles. While they were slowly ringing up my sale,I asked if they had a restroom for customers, I was told to see if the tavern next door was open and to use that restroom. I won't return. Much better selection in Detroit,Cleveland and Chicago with better selection and pricing. If your traveling like I am, check out a number of quality locations in those cities! read more

Friendly staff. Good assortment of new and used. Found some rare soul, blues, and country vinyl. Newer stuff is expensive, but it is everywhere. Nice selection of used at a decent price. Not cheap but reasonable. Stop here every time I travel to and from Chicago. They also have a nice selection of vintage equipment and movies. read more

Cheap CD's, decent amount of video games and helpful employees. Game rotation seems pretty stagnant so you'll see the same ones each visit, prices are at or above retail. Place smells great if you like incense. Vinyl, record players, DVDs, blue Ray's, game systems, accessories etc. Owner is a nice guy, pretty straightforward. Love this place. Vinyl selection is outstanding (both new and used), but for lamewads like me the real attraction is the insane choice of dollar CDs. A great way to re-live my awkward, record-store-dwelling adolescence. read more

Very disappointing trip to this store today. When I walked in, I noticed 2 employees, a 20-something male and female. On the store audio system there was some kind of electronic noise being blared over it. To best describe this, I would say it sounded like a really bad late 50's - early 60's Japanese Godzilla wannabe sound effect track and the background sound effects for Forbidden Planet. It was pure and simply put GARBAGE!! I walked around the store for a minute or two and realized I was getting a headache from this so called music. The female employee approached me and asked if I need help. I replied with my complaint about their choice of music. She just looked at me and said that she was sorry I didn't like it. She then walked away without saying another word. I shopped for another minute or so. I just couldn't stand the pounding that was starting in my head. I started out and saw the male employee. He was behind the counter. I said that I was couldn't stand the noise and was outta there, He uninterestingly looked up and said have a nice day. I realize that I am an older man and don't find modern music enjoyable. My thing is, if a customer makes a complaint about the music or the volume. They should without blinking an eye change it to something that is safe for all tastes to listen to. These 2 braindead kids don't really care about customers. They believe that this is their own person jukebox and can listen to whatever they want. This isn't the first time that I have had this problem with music in that store. I made a complaint like this about a year ago and the employee at the time apologized. He changed the music to something else, It's sad that places will employ kids like this and allow them to run the store without any real adult leadership that knows how to placate the people that are spending money in the store. Apparently, business is so good that they don't need my business. I really, really wish that The Exchange would make its way to Toledo. If have never heard of or been to one, look them up on a Google search. The closest one is in Sandusky. If they came here, Allied would be out of business in less than 6 months. They appreciate their customer and do whatever it takes to keep you coming back. read more

Very nice music and equipment store. The vinyl is separated into new and used sections which I am a big fan of. They also have an impressive selection of used stereo equipment. The staff was very friendly. I'll definitely be back! read more

One of the best records stores I've ever been to! Came here for RSD 2015 and was impressed by their selection, their staff, their prices, and the organization of it all. Very rarely do all of these things come together in one record store, but Allied has it all. Best Record Store Day ever! read more

This place appears to be centered on volume and moving product. No fancy but lots of records and good prices on them. Pricing seems like the ""dart board" method at times but this can work in your favor. Staff was nice. I would check this out again for sure. read more

Hadn't been in here for decade-ish. Big mistake. Came to check out vinyl. They had plenty, with an abundance under $4. A nice salesman there saw me looking at stereo equipment and asked if he could help me with anything. Long story short, I ended up buying a vintage stereo receiver. It rocks. Nice selection of used stereos/speakers. Will be back soon. Well before another decade passes. read more

Has a good selection of new vinyl, especially re-issues of old psych stuff. They also have a decent selection of used vinyl. Culture Clash is better, but Allied is still a very worthwhile record store to go to. read more
